There was no denying it as Melody wandered through the woods around the city of Witwicky. As many times as she got lost on campus alone, she should've seen this coming as she huffed out a puff of a sigh. she was completely and utterly lost, and being in a forest helped nothing.
Yes she could hunt down the ranger station, but knowing her luck, she probably was pretty far from it. And even then- social interactions were NOT her strong suit if she didn't know the person. She thought she had seen a rock she passed by earlier, but nope- no sign of the town she had come from. What's worse, she ran out of water about ten minutes back. "I knew I should've asked a classmate to come with me..." She murmured as she trudged through trees and underbrush. "Knowing my luck, I'm gonna end up with more injuries than before-"
As if on cue, the mud beneath her slipped her down into a little ravine between parts of forested land, staring up in bewilderment at where she'd just fallen from. Well, her pride was already gone, might as well- "HELP! Is anyone out or up there?!"

Lucky for Melody she wasn't alone in the woods.
Clematis had also come here on this very day, picking flow-.. collecting samples! Yes, collecting samples and not picking flowers for the fun of it. She couldn't help it that they were pretty, but she needed them for her studies. The femme wanted to know more about what various plants were capable of. She'd seen some of these in the texts that she'd gotten her servos on, but it was definitely easier to collect samples to study back at the lab. Worst case, they weren't quite what she was looking for and she'd have some nice decorations for a bit. At least.. until the flowers died anyway. It was kinda sad how something so pretty had such a short life span, but that seemed to be the consensus for all life forms on Earth. A shame, but maybe Cybertronians could help do something about that one day with advances in technology and medicine they could offer.
As she plucked a dandelion, she heard the cry for help in the distance. Clematis stood up, turning in the direction she had heard that voice. A human? Was it really a good idea to rescue them given they were supposed to be robots in disguise? Yet at the same time, Earthlings already knew about them and they did sorta mess up their world. Would Optimus and the others be mad? Either way Clematis couldn't just sit back and leave someone in trouble if they needed help. Opting not to transform, the femme rushed deeper into the woods after dumping her stash of 'research samples' into her storage. The azure and lilac femme made her way down toward the ravine, looking around for the source of the voice.
"Is someone here? I heard your cry for help!"

As if a giant weight had been lifted off her shoulders, Mel quickly glanced around at her surroundings- hoping for a sign of who had come to her rescue. “Down here! I’m so relieved someone was passing by…” Checking over her legs for any scratches, or arms, or- okay there were a few she could see while the mud covered some spots. Note to self- take shower when back on campus. “So funny stor-“ she paused as soon as the shadow came into view. That… that was a large figure. “-y… you’re tall….” Nice observation, captain obvious.

Clematis continued to look around for the source of the voice when they called out once more for help. Whoever it was needed help quickly, and she didn't want to leave them unaided for too long. As she finally heard the voice, cerulean and crimson optics darted over in the direction of the ravine itself. It didn't take her long to see the human who had slipped down into the water, and the human seemed just as surprised to see her as well. For as long as she'd been on Earth, Clematis hadn't really dealt with too many humans directly that weren't government related people, so it was so strange seeing a human out in the wild that.. seemingly had nothing to do with the government at all? The femme didn't actually know, but given that she wasn't wearing some uniform like most other government agents she figured it was a safe bet of sorts.
Kneeling down, Clematis reached out with a hand and a gentle smile. "It's alright. Grab my hand and I'll pull you out." Or her finger. She couldn't exactly argue as she helped the human out of the ravine.
"Are you alright? You don't look too bad off, but I want to make sure."

She stood there, dumbfounded for a minute. Okay! That was a transformer, without a doubt- She had to try and be cool. “I- I’m fine! Just a little bruised, I’ve had worse.” She chuckled, pointing to a few scars on her face. “You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve- fallen out of trees, off a bike, been hit in the face by a tree branch- it’s weird how unlucky I am.” She chuckled. “Hey, weird question- are you a cybertronian?”

As Clematis helped the poor girl out of the ravine, she looked the human over while she detailed her medical status. Thank goodness she was alright, but Primus it did seem like this one was accident prone. Maybe it was a good thing she had been the one to find her and not someone else. Clematis wasn't exactly a medic, but she at least knew the most basic of first aid from her initial training as a pharmacist. Even still, that was only for Cybertronians and humans were another matter entirely. They were so easily injured by the slightest things, and it was worrisome at times considering how tall Cybertronians could be.
"Well, I'm glad you're alright. You should probably be more careful, but I'm happy to see you're unharmed." The azure and lilac femme smiled gently, kneeling down to make herself look slightly less intimidating.. if she could even manage intimidating to begin with. Soon enough the girl began to speak again, and there came the awkward question. It was fair considering the circumstances, but hopefully the fact that she was Cybertronian wasn't enough to scare her away. There were already so many humans that hated them just for living on their planet, but did they really have anywhere else to go?
"I am, as a matter of fact. My name's Clematis. What's yours?"

“I’m melody! I also answer to Mel- I’m super interested in the autobots and that kinda stuff!” She seemed friendly enough, just… excitable. “And that’s the weird thing about me- no matter how careful I am? Stuck in a ditch somewhere! Happened back home, too. She dug through her satchel at her side (one of the charms was 100% a stylized bumblebee keychain), looking for something. An autobot insignia patch, a ‘be an optimist prime’ pin, a few other autobot themed pins… “I’m- actually studying cybertronian history- oh good, the sketchbook is safe…” She flipped through a few pages, some robots visible in the sketching stages as she grimaced at a few unfinished ones. “So- what brings you out here?”

Oh poor Mel. Clematis couldn't even imagine having that horrible luck that one always falls into a ditch or finds themselves injured frequently. Mel seemed to be rather chipper about it still, so the femme wasn't overly worried at the moment. Still.. it didn't hurt to be too careful in the even that her luck suddenly took a turn for the worse and she actually did find herself seriously injured. "It's nice to meet you, Mel~."
The human's bag caught the attention of Clematis' cerulean and crimson optics. She couldn't help but notice all the Autobot memorabilia plastered all over it, and she certainly couldn't help but try and peek at the girl's drawings a bit when she pulled out the sketchbook. Seemed like she was pretty artistic, and that's something Clematis could get behind for sure. This girl definitely wasn't afraid of Cybertronians in the least, and she truly enjoyed that she was studying Cybertronian history. There were some pretty dark moments in their time, but humans seemed to have it the same way according to their history books. "You certainly seem to enjoy Cybertronians a lot. No shame in that."
But as for what she was doing here? "Me? I'm a pharmacist. It's my job to help develop new medicines to combat Cybertronian diseases, but I've taken a bit of an interest in studying human medicine as well. It's fascinating to me, and I've read all about how flowers and other plants can be both incredibly toxic and life saving to humans all at the same time depending on how they're used. I've been curious for some time now how we could apply that to combat Cybertronian ailments. That and, um..." Clematis' optics shifted back and forth a little, as if checking to see if anyone else was around before whispering. "I really like collecting flowers. They're really pretty."

“A pharmacist? That’s so cool, helping others medically in a way!” Her ears perked up at the mention of earth/human medicines and plants, face lighting up. “Yeah, it’s amazing how different plants and flowers have different uses, we actually studied them in science last semester! Though, do you know about flower language? We have books and stuff about it! I could definitely see if I could check some out of the library, if you’d be interested!”
She stands up and stretches, putting everything back in her satchel. “I don’t know a whole lot about flowers and the like, but I know there’s a greenery somewhere in town…”

Clematis was excited that Melody was interested in her line of work and study. Helping to save lives was always an interest of hers, and the fact that she could help develop new cures and make medicine for bots in need was a bonus. She really wanted to learn more than basic first aid, and if she truly excelled she’d love to study to become a medic like Ratchet but she knew with that would come much stress and a busy schedule. Still, it was about saving lives right? That’s what was most important to the azure and lilac femme.
“I know a little bit about the language of flowers, but I’m not well versed in it. I think it’s cute that people have a way of speaking just by the flowers they give, though personally I’m the type to just throw all the flowers I like into one vase. I’ve looked up my own name since I know it’s a flower one can find here, and it has quite a few different meanings just by what color it is!” White clematis suited her best given its meanings. Healing, recovery from grief, innocence.. that was definitely the young Autobot to a T, though even millions of years later she was still recovering from said grief. “I’d love to learn more though.”
At the mention of a greenery, the femme’s optics lit up brightly. “There is?! I would love to go there sometime if they’re Cybertronian friendly. I know some humans don’t like us, and I don’t exactly blame them either. Either way, I don’t have any intention of harming anyone. I’d much rather save lives than end them.”

Mel’s eyes seemed to light up at Clem’s interest, quickly nodding her head. “I’m sure they wouldn’t mind a cybertronian stopping by, and maybe I could take you! I’d be down to hang out in a way not related to falling down a ravine.” She chuckled. “And yeah, flower language is kind of a passing interest of mine! I just think it’s neat. Definitely something sweet.”

Clematis was more than happy to know that Mel was willing to take her to the greenery sometime. It'd be nice to stop and see all the flowers, potentially even asking if she could take some. She didn't exactly have human money of course so the odds of that were probably going to be no, but it never did hurt to ask. The femme wasn't going to be offended if she couldn't walk away with servos full of flowers. "Yeah! I'd love that sometime. I'm not sure if that's something you'd want to do right now or not, especially after that fall of yours."
Not to mention Mel's clothes were wet from the ravine itself.
"Hey, um.. Would you like a ride somewhere? I can drop you off somewhere if you'd like or we can just hang out for a bit. My schedule's open at the moment."
