GENERAL INFO

Holoform: (If applicable) Coriolanus Snow (Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
Personality: As unbelievable as it might seem there was once a time where Starscream was an optimistic scholar, but war quickly changes a bot, especially after losing both a close friend and scientific partner. Starscream once enjoyed sciences and exploration, but ever since the loss of Skyfire on primitive Earth he grew as cold as the ice his friend was buried under. Once he joined the Decepticons, quickly rising through the ranks, Starscream got his taste for power and only wanted more. He was often cruel to his fellow Decepticons, flaunting his ego whenever possible. His lust for power drove him to try and usurp Megatron many a time through schemes he felt either necessary to better complete a mission or to simply sabotage the Decepticon leader so he could take over instead. Naturally this lead to many beatings from Megatron to a level that actually left him with some level of trauma as well as begging for Megatron to spare him.. not that it wouldn’t stop him from trying again after cowering away.
To most Decepticons, and even Autobots, Starscream only cares for himself and is quick to use anyone for his own benefit only to toss them aside when the job was done or to simply use them as a decoy so he could flee. While Starscream wouldn’t argue that logic, there are times where he will rely on others to actually complete a task though most of the time growing angry when said task fails. He won’t allow himself to grow close to anyone, never trusting anyone.. or at least that’s what he thought until Nightshroud and even Hashtag.
For the extremely rare individual that actually manages to earn his trust, Starscream still remains hesitant on some levels to fully let the lucky bot in and he certainly does not make trusting him easy. What he does want, however, is for that individual to be happy and safe. Unlike with anyone else, Starscream will actually throw himself in harm’s way to protect those he deems worthy of his trust.
Likes: Himself, the Seekers, the Decepticons, those who believe and are loyal to him, getting the chance to thrash Megatron with no consequence, using others as scapegoats, painting faces on his missiles, scheming, flying
Dislikes: MEGATRON, being compared to Megatron, the Autobots, humans, G.H.O.S.T., being reminded of his traumas, not being able to fly, unwanted affections (aka hugs from the Terrans), annoyances, failure, when his orders aren’t followed
PERSONAL INFO
Family: Nightshroud (Adopted daughter)
Mate: None
History: Many are surprised to learn that Starscream isn’t quite as young as he might appear, but even more are surprised when they learn of his history before the war. While Starscream may not share much of his history with just anyone, only offering up bits and pieces at a time only when he deems necessary, it is common knowledge among most that he was made a cold construct just like most of the other Seekers. However, the part that most do not realize is that once long ago Starscream was an inspired scientist and explorer. The seeker formed a close bond with a large shuttle by the name of Skyfire and thus the two became partners. One day Skyfire wished to go on an excursion to a remote planet, and despite there being no signs of life the shuttle wanted to explore further. Starscream followed his friend, but a sudden polar wind storm quickly separated the two.
Starscream circled half the planet in an effort to find his friend, but in the end Skyfire was lost and he was forced to return to Cybertron.
Pleading with the Council for assistance to try and recover Skyfire, Starscream was angered when they refused him which eventually set him on the path to not only taking over leadership of Vos, but also joining the Decepticons. Through raw talent and determination, Starscream rose through the Decepticon ranks quickly in their battle against the Autobots. He aided in the destruction of Autobot outposts and city states alike, Uraya being just one of them. At some point during the war, Starscream grew tired of Megatron’s failed plans and failure to seize chances to destroy the Autobots when he had the chance to do so, feeling that he himself would be a much better leader for the Decepticons. Starscream would frequently attempt to overthrow Megatron whether it be by their fearless leader ‘falling’ in battle or the seeker flat out sabotaging a mission in his own favor. Each attempt to overthrow Megatron failed, always ending with him begging for forgiveness only to be beaten by the Decepticon leader time and time again.
Not that this would stop Starscream from trying.
Eventually the war moved to Earth after millions of years of fighting, and Starscream’s attempts to usurp Megatron only grew using every advantage he could find. However, the one thing he did not expect to happen was a mission to the southern most part of the Earth to siphon the planet’s heat energy for energon. During the mission the Decepticons accidentally uncovered a large metallic body buried in the ice.
Skyfire.
While Megatron was curious about the large shuttle, Starscream was determined to revive his old friend with the assistance of Soundwave. He was forced to reveal his history with Skyfire to the Decepticons, but eventually their efforts paid off and Skyfire was brought back online. Using their friendship to his advantage, Starscream manipulated Skyfire into believing that the Autobots were the ones trying to destroy the world and that the humans were aligned with the Autobots. What he didn’t account for was his friend’s peaceful nature which caused Skyfire to not only hesitate destroying captured Autobots but wanting to assist the humans. Feeling he had no other choice and that Skyfire was turning against him, Starscream simply opted to shoot his friend. Once Skyfire had recovered, Starscream fought his friend in the skies only to collide with him. Skyfire, using the last of his strength, fired upon Starscream one last time before being submerged in ice again.
As the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons continued, Starscream continued to scheme in order to seize control of the Decepticons from Megatron by various means. Just as before, his efforts often ended in failure and having to beg for mercy just as he always had. Over the years Starscream began to notice his insane luck of surviving Megatron’s wrath, but especially took notice of it after incidents that should have offlined him. No matter how much damage he took, provided his body was salvageable, it seemed that he could not actually die and that’s something that he firmly believed.
The war reached its end once the AllSpark fell into the Decepticon hands, but no one was more surprised by Megatron’s sudden betrayal than Starscream. He thought that he would have felt overjoyed in that moment finally able to take over as leader of the Decepticons, but with it came unease and a feeling of abandonment. He’d gotten what he’d wanted, but in the most disappointing way possible. Unearned. Deciding it was best to stick to his guns, Starscream took charge in a final battle against the Autobots and Megatron when they stole the AllSpark to throw through the space bridge. Starscream did his best to stop Megatron along with Novastorm, Skywarp and Soundwave but Megatron was able to escape them long enough to not only hurl the AllSpark through the space bridge.. but for Optimus to open fire at said space bridge at the same time. Knowing he couldn’t simply lose the AllSpark, Starscream rushed forward to try and grab it, but right when it was within reach the space bridge exploded.
The AllSpark was gone.
Starscream wasted no time sticking around and fled the scene in a hurry and over time split up from most of the Decepticons. With the Autobots teaming up with G.H.O.S.T. and forcing energon shortages on the Decepticons, it was impossible to order Decepticons to do even the simplest tasks without increased levels of in-fighting due to everyone being low on energon. It was best to go their separate ways until the energon shortage situation could be resolved, and so Starscream found an abandoned military base deep in the mountains to bunker down in and store any energon he could find. There he stayed alone for several years, growing much more paranoid of being found by Megatron when an unexpected visitor arrived at his doorstep in the form of Nightshroud. Placing hesitant trust in the young femme before growing fond of her presence over time, Starscream settled on his next plan of attack.
The Autobots and Megatron could have the Earth. The Decepticons would find a way to return to Cybertron, find the AllSpark and rebuild their dying planet.
Naturally, of course, the Autobots found ways of interfering with his plans and Starscream was eventually spotted on his own. In a surprising twist, Starscream surrendered knowing that if he fought back against the number of Autobots on his tail it would possibly put Nightshroud in danger too back at the base. He remained in G.H.O.S.T. custody for a few years, but has since escaped and looking to gather any Decepticon wishing to abandon Earth.
