Nightshroud honestly wasn't sure how long she had been flying at this point. She'd taken to the skies some Earth hours ago, but she really didn't pay much attention to time or anything. Flying was something that brought her some sense of calmness, plus it was easy to blend in with all the jets that the humans were using. Of course, they could've been displaced Decepticons too, but Nightshroud didn't pay much attention to that either. Her focus was simply on her, and that's how she preferred it. Being around others made things complicated, and the last thing she wanted was to get close to anyone. She wasn't going to give someone the chance to hurt her, so it was much easier to run in that regard. Didn't matter to her at all.
But sometimes.. it did get lonely.
Sure the war was over, but that was a problem in and of itself. There was no closure for the Decepticons. Their leader had switched sides in such cowardice, and there was no way back home to Cybertron. They were all stuck here, directionless with no leader. Worst of all, the Autobots had teamed up with those G.H.O.S.T people, and Decepticons were being captured left and right. In hindsight being alone wasn't the brightest idea because it only increased the chances of getting subdued, but Nightshroud wasn't going down without a fight. She'd fight to the death if she had to before she let herself be captured by those human pests and Autobots.
Spotting a small ravine and a decent spot to rest for a moment, Nightshroud descended from the skies before transforming and landing on the ground. Now seemed like a good enough time for an Energon break, but the crimson and black femme didn't want to stay put for too long. Aside from the humans and Autobots, there was part of Nightshroud that didn't want to be spotted by rogue Decepticons either. And yet at the same time, maybe now was the time to finally meet up with another Decepticon. There was strength in numbers, even if she hated to admit it.

It was not often that the seeker was dragged into these sort of things, operations for the GHOST group. Normally, he would have dismissed their needs for a later time and focus on his own things especially since he was working on two new scripts at the present and wanted to keep his attention on them. But, they had been persistent and after a few days the blue seeker had finally given in. He flatly had told them he would do patrols, but nothing more. His plate was already full as it was, and this was only delaying what he needed to get done.
Well, least this area was quiet.
If there was one benefit to these patrols, it was the extensive times he could fly, being free of the cramped Autobot City or Los Angeles. As much as he enjoyed the celebrity scene, even he felt claustrophobic every so often and needed time to himself to recharge or get his thoughts in order. So, maybe it wasn't so bad after all as he soared over the vast expanse of woods outside Witwicky. He actually enjoyed the view that he got, finding that flying was perhaps one of his more favorite pass times and glad for being a seeker to boot. And it also got him far from the Autobot/GHOST headquarters far off in the distance, feeling awkward whenever he had to venture inside or come face to face with his former leader. Megatron had certainly changed, almost being a different mech than he had come to know from the war, attempting to repent for all he had done. It certainly was...different, and Thundercracker sometimes didn't know how to act around the former warlord. He found himself having to stop from flinching whenever Megatron got close or stopping himself from saying "Yes sir" every time he was addressed.
Thundercracker could only sigh to himself, feeling life had gotten better yet complicated at the same time. But his thoughts were soon interrupted, his sensors picking up on an energon signature after a few hours of flying. That was definitely Cybertronian. Was it one of the rogue Decepticons? Or perhaps another Autobot? One of those odd Terrans? He was about to find out soon enough.
Angling himself, Thundercracker picked up the pace, the unmistakable sonic boom being heard well before he came into sight as he flew over a ravine soon transforming as he came upon the source of the signal below in said ravine. It was definitely another Cybertronian, a fellow seeker to boot! To say the least, Thundercracker was surprised, more so to see this individual alone. Seekers were rarely solo fliers, and it was rare to see such a sight but also reminded himself to be cautious as he slowly lowered towards the ground. "Hello there, not every day I see another seeker anymore." Thundercracker greeted, offering a small smile and holding up his hands to show he meant no hostility. "And don't worry, I'm not here to cause you any trouble. I caught your signal and just wanted to talk."

It was just Nightshroud's luck when she heard the unmistakable sound of a sonic boom in the air. Another jet passing through, and she silently prayed to herself that it was just some human playing pretend up in the sky. As the universe just seemed to work against her, she silently cursed to herself when the jet not only drew closer.. but transformed. The femme narrowed her optics, shooting up to her feet before pulling her sword out. Holding it in both hands ox style, she glared daggers at the blue mech before her. She couldn't recall the last time she'd seen another seeker, but she didn't trust this at all. Not with the humans and the Autobots. And Megatron.
The first thing Thundercracker would notice about Nightshroud, outside of her aggressive response, was that she was quite.. small for a seeker. She was easily a meter shorter than the guy, barely even matching Elita-1 in height. This tiny little terror was ready to throw down if the mech displayed any sign of hostility, and it threw her for a loop when he suddenly raised his hands declaring that he wasn't here to cause any sort of trouble. Nightshroud's shoulders relaxed for a moment, but her grip on her sword didn't. How did she know that he really meant what he said? Sure he seemed like a Decepticon according to the insignia he wore, but Megatron was once a Decepticon too. How did she know he hadn't simply switched sides and was just wearing that badge to deceive other Decepticons, lulling them into a false sense of security only to do harm?
"So you say, but I'm not buying it that easily. Who are you and what do you want?" As tactful as ever.

Thundercracker sighed as he noticed Nightshroud's first reaction was to draw a sword, tense and ready to make a move if she had to. Could he really blame her though? Given her insignia, she no doubt was another rogue Decepticon, one that probably still held some level of unease and caution. Plus, she was also the shortest Seeker he had seen in a long while, faint curiosity showing in his red optics as he observed her for a moment and kept a healthy distance between them as he did so. But, least she was willing to talk and no immediately try and strike him. " My name is Thundercracker, I use to be a trine mate of Air Commander Starscream and our friend, Skywarp." Thundercracker spoke calmly, finding no reason to lie to the smaller Seeker. Honestly, when most knew of his name, they already knew just about everything there was to know about his identity and who he had served under, emphasis on most. He wasn't going to immediately assume this little femme knew who he was or his past, but it wouldn't matter either way if she didn't trust him anyway. Still, he didn't exactly want to go risking being stabbed or slashed today either. He had more than enough of that during the war, and certainly didn't want it now. " And seriously, put the fragging sword away would you. If I had any intention to harm you, I would have done so already little femme." He added, sounding more annoyed than threatened as he crossed his arms. He was all too familiar with the Deception custom. Generally the first response was to grab your weapons and shot first, ask questions later. He wasn't exactly chomping at the bit to deal with that today. " Look, lets just start easy shall we? What's your name, and where did you come from?" He inquired, figuring starting small might break the ice a bit between them. He wanted to help his fellow Decepticons if he could still, find better ways to integrate their lives there on their new home or avoid run ins with GHOST that could go...quite wrong. So this was Thundercracker. A name Nightshroud had heard before, but didn't know much about him. However, at the mere mention of Starscream there was a faint flicker of recognition in the femme's crimson and azure optics. She knew the air commander, at least to some degree. He'd offered her some energon when she'd needed some and offered to let her rest with him where he was hiding out for a night. Of course, she wasn't about to just tell Thundercracker about that. Trinemates or not, that had been a time she'd somewhat actually enjoyed, and she wasn't going to just openly share that with some stranger she just met.. no matter their rank or status.
Nightshroud grumbled before aggressively putting her scimitar away, continuing to glare at the mech before her as he spoke. There was some manner of leniency with Starscream given he was the Air Commander and the closest thing the 'Cons had to a leader. She kinda had to follow orders with him, but for others including Thundercracker, there was hesitation. How did she know he was serious about his intention to not harm her? Then again.. Starscream wasn't to be trusted either.
Wings flaring back in irritation, she listened as the blue seeker spoke. "Nightshroud.. from Uraya. Happy now?" Crossing her arms, the femme continued to stare him down. "I didn't realize this was going to be an interrogation."

Now Thundercracker was getting a little irritated, his wings flaring upwards as his optics narrowed. “ Its not an interrogation short stack, it’s called an introduction. Even a simple minded cassetticon like Ravage would know the difference.” The blue seeker growled softly. Then again, should he really have expected any different? The remaining Decepticon forces were all unease and on edge, unwilling to trust or see reason, ready to fight for their freedom and suspicious for genuine help. He couldn’t blame them, but neither did he appreciate his actions being twisted. Something he had no qualms making clear to those he encountered along the way. “ If I had, again, any ill-intentions I wouldn’t be talking to you and trying to strike up a conversation, I’d have already gone in for an attack. I may not be a Decepticon like I use to be, but doesn’t mean I won’t hesitate to knock you down a few pegs if I do had to.” Thundercracker spoke in a slightly more threatening manner to get his point across before relaxing his stance and voice once more. “ Now that I’ve made that more clear, Nightshroud, I’m sure you’re capable of having a conversation.” It was perhaps a little more insulting and harsh than he was hoping to handle the situation, but he didn’t know any other method when bots like her reacted this way. Usually, there was no other way. Taking old methods as a Decepticon was often times required before they would even bother listening to one word he had to say. This wasn’t necessarily the case for Nightshroud to an extent, but he still had to be firm and hold his ground just to get her to put away her weapon thus far. Tags: Nightshroud

Short stack.
Nightshroud’s optics narrowed angrily as Thundercracker with arms crossed tightly. She hated it when bots poked fun of her height, and his demeanor was rubbing the femme the wrong way. She didn’t have a whole lot of patience for a lot at the moment especially when she was trying to locate G.H.O.S.T. HQ. Sure there was Mire to help with that and she finally knew the rough approximation, but that still hadn’t changed things. There was a part of Nightshroud that did not want to wait to enact the plan. She wanted to just charge in and rescue Starscream from his confinement, but Mire was right. She couldn’t do this alone. Even if the small seeker used her plan of getting into the base, there would be no getting out without help.
Begrudgingly she listened as Thundercracker continued to talk, once more speaking of how he had no intention to attack, but it was his next words that struck a chord. ‘May not be a Decepticon like he used to be’. He wanted to talk? He’d get that talk.
Wings accented in golden filigree flared up angrily. “So despite not being a Decepticon, you’re going to walk around sporting that insignia proudly? You have some nerve.” The femme growled, continuing to glare at him. “You’re with them, aren’t you? With the Autobots and G.H.O.S.T.. and Megatron?!” That had been the paranoia talking, but if she was right, then he had no right to wear that badge. Nightshroud was fully in fight or flight mode, and she was all fight if Thundercracker didn’t find a way of talking her down.

Thundercracker merely shrugged at her words. "Yes and no to all of it." Again, what would he have to exactly hide? How she took the information was on her and no one else, he was just stating facts and the truth. "I wear the badge as a reminder of the things I did during the war, things I was not proud of and always regret. The war should have never happened, the Decepticons should have been what they promised, not what they became." The blue seeker frowned a bit, wondering just how twisted the views of the Decepticons had become among the rogues. Perhaps as twisted as the ideals they had intended to uphold but only becoming another war party that brought nothing but destruction and death.
"I'm not with anyone, to get that straight. I do my part to make up for my sins and atone for my actions. I work with Megatron of my own free will, not by the orders of someone else. But that is once in a blue moon as the humans say. I have no love for GHOST and I despise what they've had to resort to with our kind, so don't go lumping me in with them." How Thundercracker loathed being lumped in the same category as that organization. He despised them as much as any of the rest, but it was a presently necessary evil until a better solution could be found.
"Then again, I'd rather work with them and have my freedom than be dragged somewhere and locked away to never feel the wind on my wings again." He added, uncrossing his arms as he peered down at the femme. More and more they talked, the more Thundercracker was starting to feel she would be yet another lost cause. She was too strung up on what remained of the Decepticon forces, causing him to internally shake his head. They were all delusional, wires crossed or loose somewhere in their processors. Is that all they cared about? Revenge and destruction? It would be just like it always had been for their kind, peace, war, death, and now they were nearing extinction! Did none of them realize that? They were stagnant, falling into the same cycle that had slowly killed their people, and now they were suffering for it. "You will never get it will you." Thundercracker seemed to concede. "You'll never stop fighting for a hopeless cause."

Thundercracker's words did nothing to inspire confidence in Nightshroud as he spoke. In fact, it only served to make her even more resentful. He dared to wear that badge as a badge of honor or some slag like that, yet side with Megatron and G.H.O.S.T? Maybe not entirely the latter, but that didn't change that he was aiding in their efforts in some capacity. How could he dare to say that he hated their methods yet still support them all the same?! It was a slap in the face for those still fighting against their oppressors, but as usual Nightshroud was quick to jump to a conclusion.
"So what, you're fine saying that the Decepticon cause was corrupted, yet in the same breath say that G.H.O.S.T. locking up Decepticons is perfectly alright with you? They are no better than the Council, and in fact they're doing the exact. same. thing! They are oppressing those who fight for freedom, and you are going to stand here and tell me that we're the bad guys here?! Why don't you tell that to your precious Megatron, the coward he is?" Truthfully she didn't care what became of the former Decepticon leader outside of getting to have a shot at him for the deep betrayal the Decepticons had suffered. "You say not to lump you in with them, but you are still helping them so don't act like that's somehow different."
As the blue seeker continued to argue with her, the crimson femme only felt the energon in her lines boil. Fighting for a hopeless cause. "You really think this is hopeless? At least I have a goal in mind, and that's to go home and I'm not the only one with that ambition. I don't want to be on this planet. I don't even care what happens to all of you, but I'm going home. With Starscream. At least he has a plan to save what's left of the Decepticons and restore Cybertron." With a huff, Nightshroud glared daggers as her wings continued to flare angrily. "You may look like him, but at least Starscream cares enough to fix things.. and if you think he's just going to rust away in jail for the rest of his days then you are sorely mistaken."
As if she'd reveal how she was planning to break in to rescue him.
