Skyfire had been tasked recently with the construction of a prison, one hidden away from prying human eyes. He'd immediately determined that the safest place for it was the far side of Earth's moon; hidden as it was from the humans, but open to Cybertronian communications and transit. Bots like himself and Cosmos could get out here easily, as could other aerospace scouts and seekers. If there was a prison break, it would be hard for the Decepticons to return to Earth, and if they did, there would be a great deal of warning. All things considered, this was the best possible location. That would go double if Skyfire could establish a proper space bridge. And there was a pang of hope in him for something else as well. In his spark, he knew that Cybertron still functioned, even as so many of their kind had been stranded here on this blue marble of a world. He hoped that those mecchs had not given up on the refugees here on Earth - Autobot and Decepticon alike.
He also hoped that the Titans, some of them at least, were still roaming the stars. The only one known to have been functional was the greatest of that ancient casting, the stalwart guardian of Iacon itself - Omega Supreme. If he located their transmissions, or the energy of the Space Bridge, he would come here, to Earth. That would put paid to any Decepticon attempts to escape or fight. Omega Supreme was one of few mechs who dwarfed Skyfire - that alone had given them reason to be friendly acquaintances; the same could be said of Metroplex.
All this was on Skyfire's mind as he finished his excavation and laying the first layer of foundation. It would take several cycles to complete this construction, and he'd have to return to Earth for supplies regularly, but it would be worth it when completed.
