Sometimes Nightshroud didn't even realize just how much Starscream had rubbed off on her. She found some level of confidence through him, though he'd already had to repair that once or twice already no thanks to Skyfire and now Rampage. Even if he didn't think so, Nightshroud really did think he was a good adoptive sire. He cared for her in ways no one else had, and while she wasn't excited about it at first he was always trying to push her out of her comfort zone for her own sake. Subtly attempting to get her to make up with Clematis on her own terms, much unlike Skyfire's peer pressure attempt, and trying to get her comfortable around other bots.
Considering she was even willing to talk to Fadeshift, that was proof enough. Before Starscream, Nightshroud would have immediately fled without a word.
Still she was curious about Fadeshift's experiences. The crimson seeker had shared some of her trauma, and she felt it was only fair that the other femme say hers considering she was the one that brought it up first. It did seem that Fadeshift wanted a little more details from Nightshroud first though, the smaller femme sighing. "She joined them." It was a simple answer, and as much as she was tempted to leave it at that she felt somewhat compelled to say more. "From what she told me the Autobots found her pretty early on in the search efforts but she wasn't conscious. Took her to some medlab of theirs and they told her they couldn't find me when she asked. Said she was so distraught she didn't even think to check our split spark bond. She.. should have been able to feel me alive." Nightshroud tightened her arms a bit, almost as if giving herself a hug. "She keeps reaching out, and she has been for the last four million years.. Keeps wanting to make things right and talk, but no one seems to understand my point of view. I felt so betrayed, so hurt. I shut everyone out because if I couldn't trust the other half of my own spark, then who could I trust..?"
The crimson seeker closed her optics, a flicker of a smile forming. "Until I met Starscream, that is. He.. helped me trust again. Of course I only trust him, but.. I think I'm getting there."
She definitely wasn't. Half a year later she still hated Soundwave and his Cassettes. Spinoff was okay but she still didn't completely trust them, and she was only just starting to feel like maybe she could possibly have a conversation with Clematis again even if she didn't know how to go about it.

Fadeshift couldn't help but frown a bit as Nightshroud divulged the details on her lost sibling. To be separated from one you shared a spark bond with was an unimaginable agony. It must've been even worse that her twin had joined the Autobots. She paused as Night shroud mentioned Starscream had helped her. Of all bots, I wouldn't have expected Starscream to be the mentor-type, she thought. She would honestly have to see it to fully believe it though. Fadeshift stepped closer towards Nightshroud, her expression softening a bit.
"I'm sorry for what you had to go through. Being separated from your twin must be very hard," she paused a moment and sighed deeply. "I suppose it's only fair for me to tell you my fragged-up past now." Fadeshift had always been very private about her past, having only told her story to one bot before, whom at the time had been her captor. Now here she as, about to share her story with a little seeker she hardly knew. "I wasn't always a Decepticon. When the war started, I didn't follow the other seekers to Megatron's cause. Back then the Decepticons just seemed too brutal and I ended up joining the Autobots, for what I thought was the noble faction that would bring peace back to Cybertron," she scoffs before continuing "What a load of slag that turned out to be."
Fadeshift shifted her stance slightly, "I don't share this often with others, but I have an uncanny gift for stealth." In a nanosecond, Fadeshift disappears from sight as she becomes invisible, revealing herself a few moments later for dramatic effect. "So naturally I became apart of the recon unit working as a spy and infiltrator. I'd sneak into Decepticon bases and camps, steal intel, files, and then return back to my commanding officer." She grows tense after speaking, something she said making her comfortable. "I was... close to my commanding officer. I had actually hoped after the war ended we might have..." she clears her throat, "Anyway... There came a rather dangerous mission behind enemy lines to infiltrate a heavily-guarded Decepticon base. I had a bad feeling about the mission, but my commanding officer insisted I could complete the mission, and if anything went wrong, he would personally lead our unit to rescue me. ...Oh what a cruel lie that turned out to be." There's a sorrowful chuckle to her words.
"So I accepted the mission. I easily crept inside the command base undetected but as I made my way into the communications room to access their data, I missed a tripwire and I got hit with intense volts of electricity before passing out. When I woke up, I was locked up in the prison cells. For days, I sent out distress signal after distress signal, hoping someone from my unit would receive them. Surely I thought after I went missing they would come for me, but.... they didn't. Eventually I was able to use a secure comms channel to reach my commanding officer and I thought 'now I'm going to be okay'.... Do you know what he said?" Now Fadeshift's calm and composed demeanor was cracking, her expression a mix of sorrow and rage. "He said they had received my distress signals but he wouldn't risk compromising his unit to attempt to rescue me. The bastard told me to 'stay strong' and then just... cut the line. After everything, I was just another expendable piece of scrap---"
Fadeshift took a deep intake to calm herself down. "...I realized that the Autobots were not in fact the noble and heroic saviors Cybertron needed. They would betray me after everything I sacrificed. So... I decided to return the favor in kind. I told my captors I was willing to talk and I gave them every scrap of information and intel I had. Eventually, I was freed and allowed to join the Decepticons after I proved myself. My old unit was compromised due to my intel, and my old commanding officer was captured and thrown in a prison cell to rot."
After finishing her story, she looked back at Nightshroud to gauge her reaction.

Whatever expression Fadeshift was hoping to find on Nightshroud would be a difficult task. With how much she trusted the femme that had spared her life, she wouldn't allow herself to be quite as expressive as her wings remained still. She listened closely to what Fadeshift had to say, but she remained expressionless until she reached the part of the story about what the mech she cared about did as a faint glimmer of recognition formed in her optics. It didn't come as any sort of surprise that the Autobot had abandoned her. That seemed to be all that they were good for with the possible exception of Clematis, and even that was iffy in Nightshroud's book.
By the end of Fadeshift's tale, Nightshroud huffed quietly as she placed a servo on her forehelm. "Of course. That seems to be all the Autobots know how to do; abandon those in need. Do you think those that were captured by the Decepticons ever got rescued? Unless you held some level of importance to them, you're nothing but slag. Just look at how they treat us now.. They claim the war is over and that there's no sides, but they refuse to do away with the Autobot name. They instead want us captured. They horde energon so that we starve, yet that is being heroic?"
Nightshroud crossed her arms once more, glancing to the taller femme. "They don't listen. They don't care. Skyfire could have prevented the whole jailbreak if he had cared to listen to what I said, but instead he demonized me just because I was angry with my sister. I told him Starscream didn't want to fight anymore, and he didn't listen. In fact, no one has. They all think he's lying but he's not. We just want to go back to Cybertron. That's it." She stomped her pede on the ground, feeling herself growing a little angry though only because of how things had gone every time she'd tried to talk to someone about Starscream's desire to leave Earth and not fight. Yes he was known for being a liar, but he wasn't lying about this. He wasn't lying about how he saw Nightshroud as his adoptive sparkling. He wasn't lying when he said there were things he needed to keep secret to keep others safe.
"It's funny.. Megatron somehow gets a second chance and is all buddy buddy with the Autobots now, but none of us ever did. Wonder why that is."

Fadeshift watched Nightshroud closely, her mannerisms and angered words reminding her slightly of a younger version of herself. She had been angry for a long time, and during the war, that anger kept her going. This was a strange time. Trapped on this planet with no way back to the very thing they had fought over: Cybertron. Decades earlier when the construction of the spacebridge was completed, Fadeshift wanted nothing more than to return home. But Shockwave and other Decepticons wanted to use the Allspark and make a new home on Earth. Whilst she might not have agreed, Fadeshift wasn’t going to be the one to go against her comrades. And now, everyone was stuck on this rock of a planet.
Nightshroud was absolutely right in Fadeshift’s optics. In all honesty, the Autobots were nothing but hypocrites, spouting freedom and peace whilst demonizing their own people. And for what? Just throw Decepticons in cells and leave them to rot. That sounded strangely familiar to her. Fadeshift paused as she heard a familiar name, “You spoke with Skyfire huh? Not surprised he dismissed you, seeing his past with Starscream. You’re definitely a bold one, Nightshroud, and you seem to have your helm screwed on right. I’d just avoid picking Rampage to let off steam in the future.” A smile briefly creeps across her faceplate before soon disappearing.
“…As for Megatron, I still can’t believe he betrayed us. I also have no idea how the Autobots could stand him since he and the Decepticons have killed so many of their friends. The Autobots must be even more ruthless than I thought. I’m sure they’d love nothing more than to lock him up, but his usefulness in catching Cons must be worth more for now. And can we talk about those humans and their creepy outfits? G.H.O.S.T.? Even a sparkling could see they’re clearly bad news.”

If only it'd been that simple. Nightshroud wouldn't exactly have called it 'blowing off steam', but it wasn't like she was going to tell Fadeshift what was really going on in her processor at that time. She felt she'd needed to prove herself, and the spiraling thoughts in her processor had lead her to the foolish choice of demanding Rampage fight her. It had certainly been enough to snap her out of it, but at the cost of giving her adoptive sire a nasty little scare. The femme never wanted that to happen again, and she wasn't about to tell some stranger her weaknesses either.
But as they talked, she did notice something strange. Fadeshift had not only said that her helm was screwed on right, but not once did she question the smaller femme's choice in trusting Starscream.
"The Autobots are nothing more than hypocrites. They imprison Decepticons, they horde all the energon and for what? Because we're the 'bad guys'? Last I checked they did the exact same things they say we did, but I don't see any of the Autobots being reprimanded or imprisoned." Though that mention of G.H.O.S.T. made Nightshroud chuckle. "Don't even get me started on that pathetic excuse of a human organization. Do you know how easy it was to sneak into G.H.O.S.T. HQ to break Starscream out? All I had to do was tell my twin that there was someone imprisoned that I needed to talk to, hide my weapons in a secure location away from the facility and just like that.. I was in. Couldn't tell you how we got out though." Nightshroud looked puzzled, frowning a bit. It bothered her that she still didn't know how all the cells had opened like they had, but she was certainly grateful for that little system hiccup whatever had caused it. Call it the will of Primus or something, but Nightshroud wasn't exactly a femme of faith or anything.
The crimson seeker paused, looking at Fadeshift with a curious expression. "You say my helm's screwed on right. Why.. aren't you calling me crazy for trusting Starscream? Or is it that you're thinking it but not saying it?" Skyfire had thought she was insane; Skywarp did too. Why was Fadeshift any different?

Fadeshift listened closely to Nightshroud’s tale of the daring breakout at G.H.O.S.T’s HQ. This young seeker before her was truly a cunning femme, but now Fadeshift came to question a couple of things. She was curious as to how they managed to escape from a facility that had held dozens of Decepticons for years. And how many—and exactly who all managed to escape. Honestly, she was getting kind of tired of constantly hiding and with no hope of returning home in sight, wondered how long any of the Decepticons could continue on like this. It seemed as if there were more Decepticons on Earth than Autobots.. sure Optimus Prime was here, but she could count most of the Autobots on her digits. The Decepticons still seemed to have the numbers, minus those wretched humans. She paused as she pushed the thought to the back of her mind, dismissing it as a passing thought.
Fadeshift refocused on Nightshroud as she posed her question on Starscream. “…Oh. Well I’ve heard plenty about Starscream and know his reputation well. ‘The seeker who always tried to overthrow Megatron and couldn’t be trusted as far as you could throw him.’ Traitor, I think was the name most gave him. But honestly in the long run it seems maybe he was right to attempt to overthrow Megatron. I mean… look where the mighty Decepticons are now.” She pauses, as she could sense Nightshroud clearly valued Starscream’s companionship in some way. “I never really liked hanging around him much. Primus, that mech couldn’t shut up some times. Besides, I was better at stealth so I often went my own way despite being a ‘fellow seeker.’ But… he was a clever bot for sure. It was rather unsettling how Megatron treated him as his personal punching bag at times.”
Fadeshift continued, “But as for why I don’t think you’re crazy for trusting him, I too could be considered a traitor. Honestly it’s a harsh label that’s thrown around, especially when you realize the side you’re fighting for is wrong. Also, I don’t think Starscream is sparkless. You seem to respect him in some way. What is he to you exactly?”

Fadeshift's complaints about how much Starscream loved to talk nearly made Nightshroud laugh, but she managed to suppress the urge. That was one of the many things she loved about him! Just the way he would weave a story, whether real or not.. Nightshroud was just transfixed. Starscream was so animated when he spoke, and he knew how to keep a story interesting whether he was just talking about Vos or telling Nightshroud an old Vosnian folk tale. It made her feel like the little sparkling he saw her as, and it was nice to just see the guy generally happy. She'd even ask him to tell the same story over and over again if she knew it wouldn't annoy the former air commander, but that's just how much she really enjoyed listening to him.
But then the other femme asked the question. Just what was Starscream to her. "My sire." Nightshroud spoke bluntly without missing a beat, but there was a sense of pride in her voice as well. "My adoptive sire. I only met him after the war, though I'd heard all the stories you just mentioned. I was in need of energon, and he was willing to share some of his with me. I'm not really sure why, but he let me stay with him as long as I followed his rules. I got.. comfortable around him. Felt safe for the first time in millions of years. I could actually recharge and not have to worry about having the reoccurring nightmares.. and at some point he started seeing me as his sparkling, and I.. felt completely safe around him. He knows things about me that I've never told anyone."
As much as she tried not to, Nightshroud's lips tugged into a smile at the thought of him.
"But make no mistake. Starscream doesn't want to be leader of the Decepticons. Not anymore. He just wants to leave this planet and go back to Cybertron. To rebuild Vos and make it somewhere that would welcome bots like me and not sneer at the very sight of.. some outsider." The crimson seeker left her words vague, but she was glad that she listened to her irrational fears of going to Vos and never actually went. Knowing what she knew now they would never have accepted her because of her form. She wasn't quite prepared to tell Fadeshift about that just yet, but she couldn't help but feel just a little comfortable around the taller femme. Not enough to say she trusted her by any means, but enough to almost want to try.

Fadeshift was surprised by Nightshroud's blunt reply. Starscream adopting someone? Starscream was one of the last bots she would think to adopt another, although Nightshroud being a young seeker did make more sense. With the information Nightshroud had shared about her past, Fadeshift could actually see Starscream sympathizing with the young femme. Fadeshift coudn't help but chuckle slightly at the mere thought of Starscream as a sire, reading bedtime stories and the like. As Nightshroud continued speaking, Fadeshift began to think that maybe... just maybe, Starscream might just be a giant softie. Honestly, it would explain a lot as Starscream could be described as a highly emotional bot, whom often buried his own insecurities under the guise of a massive ego.
"Well... It seems you care about him quite a lot. And it seems Starscream in turn has taken good care of you. I've known that mech since before you were forged, and if he's changed then good for him I suppose. Maybe what the egomaniac needed was to take care of someone other than himself," she spoke calmly, not wanting to offend the young seeker before her.
"He wants to rebuild Vos, huh? Well maybe if the Allspark is intact and anyone can get off this planet, maybe that's possible" Fadeshift pauses as she tries to process what Nightshroud meant by 'some outsider.' Fadeshift was growing more curious about where Starscream was, and if in fact, there were more Decepticons at a single location. Solitude had been her life for decades now, and maybe... just maybe she wouldn't mind being around more of her kind. Assuming they were more so like Nightshroud. Primus, if she had to be around certain mechs she would blow a gasket.
"If I may ask, and you can choose not to tell me, how is it that yourself and Starscream have been evading G.H.O.S.T. and the Autobots?" She speaks calmly and gestures with her servos as she speaks, not wanting Nightshroud to close herself off from Fadeshift. It had been too long since she had spoken with a decent bot, and if she was truthful with herself, she actually enjoyed the conversation.

Finally..
Finally someone realized that Starscream didn't want to fight! That he'd wanted to change! It was so surprising that it caught Nightshroud off guard. While she was relieved, there was a part of her that looked worried. Surely Fadeshift was just saying what she'd wanted to hear to trick her into trusting her a little bit more, right? There was just no way that the other femme truly believed what Starscream's former best friend and his own sister didn't. It was like Nightshroud's spark was warring against her processor, trying to force herself to be logical about this whole thing. Fadeshift had saved her life entirely of her own volition, and now here she was being friendly and even understanding of the way she felt about things.
But why..?
If nothing else at least the taller femme wasn't pushing for details of what Nightshroud had meant. She'd need to work a little bit harder to get those details from the crimson seeker. Nightshroud continued to listen as Fadeshift continued to speak, wanting to know more about how she and Starscream had kept away from G.H.O.S.T. and the Autobots. She didn't immediately answer, plagued with the new thought of whether or not it was safe to invite Fadeshift to the Compound. There was a part of Nightshroud that wanted to ask her to come along, but she wanted to be sure of that first. The more they talked, the more she started feeling somewhat comfortable with the other. The femme's optics shifted to the side for a moment as a thoughtful expression grew, eventually returning her attention to Fadeshift.
"Starscream found an abandoned military base near the mountains and we've been staying there, only going out when we really need to. It was just the two of us for the longest time, but then he was captured by the Autobots. Now that he's out we're back there again, and we aren't alone." Nightshroud grumbled that last bit, not entirely happy about the new bots hanging around the base. "There's a couple bots I don't know, but Skywarp and Soundwave are there too." She may as well have spat venom as she spoke their names, optics narrowing at the mere thought of them. Skywarp had deeply hurt her, and Soundwave had caused Starscream a lot of pain whether he actually intended to or not. Nightshroud hated the both of them, and had no intention of ever trusting them. "We do have the best energon that I've had in a long time.. and plenty of it."

As Fadeshift waited for Nightshroud's reply, she couldn't help but notice she looked slightly worried? Uncomfortable? Fadeshift didn't think she had said anything out of turn or triggering, but regardless she could tell the crimson femme was conflicted about something. Maybe it didn't even have anything to do with her. As Nightshroud continued, Fadeshift was surprised that she told her about this hidden compound she shared with Starscream and others. Albeit by her tone, Nightshroud didn't seem to necessarily enjoy the company of certain cons.
"...You uh, don't seem too happy with your company at the base. Other than Starscream of course," she pauses before gently stepping towards Nightshroud, "You um... Have issue with those cons? It's not my business but.. well--" Fadeshift shifted her weight to the side, she literally fought off Rampage for this femme so... "If anyone's giving you problems, I could help... potentially. Not that you can't handle things yourself, just that you maybe... could use a friend?"
Primus, Fadeshift wanted to punch herself in the face as she sounded so awkward, "...What I mean to say is that if you want to invite me to your compound, then I will gladly accompany you. Even if I may have to... reunite with old faces and such. I'm an adult and can deal with such. And in kind, I will bring my own personal energon supply to share with the group if accepted."

A friend..?
Nightshroud's wings flicked in surprise, looking away in both a mix of unease and regret. Starscream did want her to make friends, that much she knew.. but it was hard when you didn't know how to trust anyone. She didn't even know how she'd really even trusted Starscream! But then there was that worry. She'd tried trusting Mire too, and Mire abandoned her. She'd tried to trust Soundwave only for him to hurt her sire. She'd 'attempted' to trust Skywarp only to be flat out insulted and rejected just for existing. The femme whined, her worry becoming somewhat more apparent. Nightshroud did want to try.
She was just too scared to.
"I'm not.." Her words were strained, clearing her intake before trying again with a frown. "I don't know.. how to be a friend. I can't imagine I'd make a good one. I've been hurt too many times to know how to trust others so how do I know.. I can trust you?" It was painfully obvious it was possible given the fact that she'd managed to get close with the one seeker no one could trust, but she just needed that extra confidence boost and assurance that this was okay. Her attempt to mask her real feelings with playing tough was slipping, and it wouldn't be hard to see that she was hiding the fact that she was actually somewhat afraid. Not of Fadeshift, but of opening up to someone.
"Besides.. I'm an adult too. I was forged during the Age of Rust and there are plenty of bots younger than me. I saw a time before the war." From behind closed doors mostly. "But.. tell me why I should trust you and.. I'll see what I can do."

She couldn't help but be filled with sympathy for Nightshroud, this young seeker before her whom clearly endured a LOT of emotional trauma and trust issues. Nightshroud was smart for questioning everything and everyone, especially after what she seemed to have experienced. Fadeshift was curious as to what had transpired between the crimson femme and other Decepticons whom she seemed to hint at negative realtions with, equally curious as to how and why they may have mistreated her. She really did find herself taking a liking to Nightshroud, which tactfully was stupid, but the former Autobot genuinely felt she had found a kindred spirit. And whether Nightshroud wanted her friendship or not, Fadeshift wouldn't have regretted defending her before.
Fadeshift kicked herself internally, of course she's an adult too, you idiot, she thought. She sighed slightly before reengaging in conversation, "Nightshroud, you have every right to question my trustworthiness. Primus, you're smart to question everyone and everything. I wish I had the ability to prove my words, but I can't sadly other than my actions. Being vulnerable is terrifying, especially for those who risk bearing their sparks on their sleeve." Fadeshift smiled softly, "Honestly, if you have any doubt in your processor about my intentions, just say so. And if you don't trust me then I will leave you be. A friendship can't exist on mistrust and I will respect your decision, Nightshroud. Just... try not to care about the opinions of small-minded bots who can't understand your experiences."
Inside, Fadeshift felt a small pit forming in her gut as she felt anxious as to how Nightshroud may take her words. Putting herself out there wasn't usually her style, but maybe a subconscious part of her wanted a friend herself.

Nightshroud hated just how right Fadeshift was. There was no way for her to just simply prove how trustworthy she was, and she had to go and leave that offer of understanding if Nightshroud couldn't trust her. The femme tried to make herself look irritated at that comment, wings trembling as she tried to force them to flare up only to fail. When that didn't work, she glanced to the taller femme with narrowed optics, but it was obvious just how much she was warring with herself over what to do. She wanted to trust Fadeshift considering the other saved her from Rampage, but she didn't know if she could allow herself in an effort to protect herself from being hurt again.
But as she looked away again, closing her optics, she remembered Starscream's words. Don't let what happened with Mire make her close her spark off again. She needed relationships of all kinds to keep herself sane. Right now the closest thing she'd had to a friend was Starscream, but that had escalated into a sire and sparkling relationship. Aside from him she didn't have any friends. She'd never had friends before, yet here Fadeshift was trying to be just that. A friend.
The crimson seeker whined, coming to a decision. She remembered that she tested her sire to see if she could trust him by revealing her deepest secret, and he had accepted her. If Fadeshift was the same..
"I don't know if I can trust you.. but maybe I know something that could help. You're a seeker, right.. so surely you know all about Vos and how strict they were about who was acceptable and who wasn't. What if.. I told you this wasn't my original form. What if.. I told you I'd illegally had my body reformatted to replace wheels for wings?" Skywarp didn't even know that part of her history and had weaponized her appearance against her. Vos' standards would never have accepted Nightshroud even if she had found the courage to visit when she had the chance, and Skywarp herself had proven how quickly their traditions would have rejected her even without knowing of the reformatting. If Fadeshift was like her sire and didn't think she was some pretender, then maybe..

Fadeshift didn’t need any skills she learnt as a spy or stealth agent to tell how much Nightshroud was battling with herself, as it was apparent in her frame-language and facial expressions. She didn’t know how else to prove her genuine intentions to the young femme, but she felt it best to allow Nightshroud to lead and speak first. As she listened to the crimson seeker mention Vos and continue, she couldn’t help but go stiff as the cogs in her processor turned and absorbed the information.
“You… had yourself altered into a seeker? That…. Must’ve been quite the transition. One I can’t imagine,” Fadeshift was shocked to say the least, not ever fathoming altering her entire being to change into another form completely. But, she knew everyone did things for their own reasons, and what harm did Nightshroud do to anyone by changing herself to be more comfortable? And all the relearning she would have to do, going from a wheeler to a flier all at once. Is that why Starscream chose to want to reform and rebuild Vos of all cities? She thought, wondering if Starscream would really do such a thing for Nightshroud and others.
“…It seems like you made hard sacrifices. The city of Vos held itself and sadly its citizens to near impossible standards. Whatever your reasons were, are you… happy with your decisions? Are you fulfilled with yourself as you are? Because I feel that is all that matters and not anyone else’s opinions,” Fadeshift glanced at Nightshroud, her expression soft and inviting.

Quite the transition indeed. Nightshroud had to re-learn a lot of motor functions in secret, hire a private instructor to learn how to fly because she would never be allowed at a flight academy because they'd know she wasn't a naturally made seeker. All that effort to be able to fly because the skies called to her, and even then during the Age of Rust she couldn't fly freely. She could go to Vos, but they would immediately shun her either due to her size or due to the fact that she was just some wannabe seeker. She'd never fit in with them, and so she kept to herself in the science lab with her twin only going out on rare occasion.
Earth, as much as she hated it, was quite liberating.
So when Fadeshift didn't judge her much like Starscream hadn't, Nightshroud was left speechless. To find another that would actually accept her as she was just made no sense to the crimson seeker. While she might not be able to fully trust her, knowing that Fadeshift didn't feel any differently about her knowing what she'd done was certainly a step in the right direction. It'd take a lot more effort, but it was a starting point if nothing else. Sighing, Nightshroud activated her comm, privately communicating to Starscream once more.
<<"Hey.. is.. it okay if I bring someone back to the base with me? Her name's Fadeshift and.. she's the one who saved me from my attacker before.">>
She knew Starscream would say yes either way, but she'd feel better at least giving him a heads up rather than just showing up with some stranger. "I.. guess it's okay if I show you where the base is, Fadeshift. And about earlier.. no one's really causing me trouble personally aside from Skywarp.
