It had already been thirty-six years since the war resumed from it's long overdue hiatus on Earth. There were many lost during the battle both human and Cybertronian, but Soundwave only cared about the latter. Today just happened to be his day for scouting, and he'd decided to take the Cassettes with him this time. It wasn't that he was mad at Starscream or Nightshroud, but today was a painful reminder of what the war had cost him personally. There were only two days where he mourned, and the other was the day that the war ended.
It had been a lengthy trip to the Spacebridge Memorial Park, but the Spymaster felt that he needed to be there today even if for an hour or so to pay his respects. Many fellow Decepticons had fallen, but the one that hurt the most was Rumble. The red cassette should never have fallen victim to the war and all because Soundwave had run low on energon. It was a fairly traumatic memory for him, and when he had awoken after the blast Rumble's body was just.. gone. There should have been something left of him, but there just wasn't. The loss of the cassette didn't just affect him but it had affected the others as well, Frenzy especially.
Soundwave walked into the park, ignoring the monument of the names of the fallen and the hologram of the Allspark with spark flowers. His sights were set right on the monument erected of Megatron hurling the Allspark straight into the spacebridge. As usual it was decorated with graffiti, the plaque with his former leader's name completely marked out as well as the Cybertronian word for traitor written all over the base in neon green paint. The mech ejected the Cassetticons as they all stared at the monument, and Frenzy wasted absolutely no time getting to work. She took out two cans of spray paint that she'd hidden away in her storage, decorating the already defaced statue with a mustache under Megatron's nose, a strange code reading 'FIPRIR' and an additional message right on Megatron's aft proudly reading 'kick me'. Frenzy and Lazerbeak laughed at her work before the femme spoke. "That's for you, Rumble."
Ravage shook her helm as Soundwave continued to stare at the monument before anger consumed him, punching the statue with a synthetic growl. He only managed to crack the face a little, but it was enough to silence the three cassettes.
This was all Megatron's fault.

"You know. Despite what you might think, Megatron still wanted what's best for ALL Cybertronians."
A voice said softly from the shadows.
"I think even you know that you miss a lot of your friends. Don't you miss just going out and spending time with them."
The mech stepped out from the shadows, hands up. He wasn't there to fight.
"It's alright, Sounders. I'm not here to fight or do anything. Well... I am for one thing."
He sat on the ground nearby. Jazz looked up at the Decepticon. He studied the other quietly. He'd always admired the Decepticon. There were few that Jazz could share a drink with... and he felt Soundwave was one of those mechs.
"I'm here to warn you, Sounders."
Jazz said sadly. It was going to hurt, betraying his faction. But Jazz couldn't let Soundwave be blindsided. Jazz didn't care for Soundwave like that, but Soundwave was one of those that Jazz had a HUGE amount of respect for so was here as a courtesy to the other mech.

Jazz. It just had to be Jazz. Soundwave didn't even turn to look at the Autobot saboteur as the other spoke, growling quietly to himself in frustration. Perhaps there was some truth to the fact that Megatron was trying to do what was best for all Cybertronians, but he sure had a funny way of showing it. The mech who had fought for freedom now one the side of those who would take the freedom away from anyone who did not align with their vision. That fool had lost sight of the very thing he fought against, and here he was now rallying for it. He may have felt that imprisoning Decepticons was wrong, but was he doing anything about it? No. Megatron instead had the Spymaster thrown in a cell. Part of it had been Soundwave's own plan because he knew he could help those imprisoned as well, but that didn't make the situation any better. He looked up to Megatron, perhaps more than bots realized, and for what? To be discarded like the rest? "Hey! We wouldn't have to be hiding if it weren't for Autobot lapdogs like you!" Frenzy yelled at Jazz, both canisters of spray paint in servos. "FRENZY: STAND DOWN." Frenzy furrowed her optics, kicking the Megatron statue's base as she grumbled. "Killjoy."As the cassette went back to defacing the statue, Ravage stood at Soundwave's side when he finally chose to turn around glaring daggers into Jazz with his visor. He really had the audacity to come here with some sort of warning. The Spymaster did not move let alone react to the other's words, simply standing there menacingly as he looked for the right words to say in response. "WARNING: UNNECESSARY. DECEPTICONS.. RALLIED"

Jazz snapped in response to Soundwave.
"The warning is very much necessary, Sounders. I've been tasked to get a team together to find you and the others and put them back in their cells. The ONLY reason I'm here warning you is because you're one of the few Decepticons I had a high level of respect for!"
Jazz glared back at the Decepticons' version of a SpecOps agent. He sighed and rubbed his face.
"Sounders. I can't change your mind, I know that. But know that the Autobots serving Optimus has NOTHING to do with what happened in the past. We just don't want to see anyone enslaved. Frag, I will even have to be on trial one day for my part in this war. I'm not clean and innocent nor do I claim to be. But I GENUINELY give a scrap about you, Sounders. I know deep down that deep down... we're all the same. I don't care if you're a Decepticon or Autobot. You're CYBERTRONIAN first and foremost."
He looked at the Decepticon once more, look of sadness on his face. Why did Soundwave have to be so damn stubborn?! He had the little ones to care for and it wouldn't do them any good if they were all captured again!
"Soundwave. These little ones NEED you! You won't do them any good if you're sitting in a cell. While Frenzy defacing the Megatron statue is disrespectful... at least she's pretty much free and enjoying herself. I don't condone what she's doing but she won't be able to express herself in a G.H.O.S.T. cell. And what about Ravage? Felines don't do well cooped up. Do you REALLY want that for them?"
Jazz was trying to get Soundwave to run. He respected the hell out of him. For a Decepticon, he and Jazz were pretty much even. The fact Jazz very nearly could lose to the Decepticon was what made him respect the other. This was why Jazz was here. He sighed and turned away.
"Whatever. I don't know why I'm bothering. It's like talking to a stone wall with you. I guess you don't really care about the cassettes."

Didn't care if he was Decepticon or Autobot because in the end they were all Cybertronians. Hmm.. just where had Soundwave heard such words before? The words might have been twisted around, but is that not what Megatron initially fought for with the unfair caste system? Yet despite his efforts the Council still showed favor to the then Orion Pax instead of the one who took measures to show the injustices the lower caste had to deal with. Sure the newly named Decepticons had taken extreme measures such as blowing things up to make a statement, but sometimes that's just what one needed to do in order to make a point. Clearly words did not matter to the Council, and Soundwave knew that better than anyone. He had been part of the Council before, and threw that old life of his away when it became apparent that mattered to them were actions taken. Sure Six Lasers over Cybertron was one of many places struck, but the louder their actions, the more attention they would garner. That had been Zeta Prime's way of responding to problems before after all. But the moment that Jazz brought the Cassettes into their discussion, the angrier Soundwave got. How dare Jazz so proudly proclaim that he did not care for his Cassetticons. They were like his own children, and Jazz knew nothing of the pain that he felt when Rumble got hurt. When Rumble was killed.. all because of Megatron! Such anger and fury grew in the Spymaster as he grew moments away from lunging straight at the saboteur wanting him to feel every ounce of pain that he felt when Rumble exploded. As his visor glowed with white hot fury, Soundwave growled in anger before powering up his soundwaves to fire at the Autobot. There were many things he wished to say, but none that he needed to. After all, actions spoke louder than any word possibly could. "SOUNDWAVE AND CASSETTES: SUPERIOR. JAZZ: INFERIOR."

Jazz snapped back angrily.
"I just told you I'm being sent to hunt you down. What do you THINK that means for them, Soundwave?! IF I SUCCEED THEY LOSE EVEN THIS LITTLE BIT OF FREEDOM! THIS IS BETTER THAN NOTHING!"
Jazz clenched his hands angrily. He turned to Frenzy and straight up asked her.
"Would you rather be on the run and free... or locked up in prison again with nothing to do and no fun to be had?"
Jazz wasn't above using them to get through to Soundwave, but he didn't want them to be locked up. He was an Autobot breaking the rules and leaking information to Soundwave. That was a VERY serious offense if it was ever discovered by Optimus or G.H.O.S.T... even though Jazz didn't work for them. Jazz was a free agent so the only one he cared the most about was Optimus. He didn't want to betray his friend and leader, but he didn't want to see another Cybertronian in prison. He just wanted to go home and rebuild, live in peace PROPERLY. Jazz rubbed his face in frustration.
Why did Soundwave have to be so fragging stubborn?!

For as much as Jazz felt like he was talking to a brick wall, Soundwave felt the same about Jazz. He clearly was not listening and it was an active reminder that words meant nothing to others. He'd felt comfortable speaking with his own voice around Starscream again, but he and Nightshroud were the only exceptions to that rule. Action clearly was doing minimal good as well, but Jazz seemed like he wanted to talk. Soundwave wasn't willing to speak, but he did know someone else that might. He paused, sifting through his audio files that he had saved to pull just the right ones that might do some good. He played a message from long ago, words he had spoken directly to Zeta Prime when he had abandoned the Council. Had Jazz never heard Soundwave's true voice, he was about to hear it now albeit slightly synthesized from the recording. "I AM THROUGH TALKING TO YOU. EVERYTHING FALLS ON DEAF AUDIALS. THERE IS NO POINT IN SPEECHS; ONLY ACTIONS COUNT." Frenzy glanced over as the two talked and as Jazz directed a question at her. "I dunno. I didn't get captured along with Soundwave and Ravage, but I can tell you that I'd rather be locked up in a cell with nothing to do than be locked up in a cell and tortured!"Tortured! That was the key. Soundwave dug through several recorded messages that he had saved during his many talks with Starscream, playing them one after the other for Jazz to hear. Now the former air commander's voice filled the air, albeit synthesized. "They torture people down there… G.H.O.S.T.'
"I still don’t want to lead the Decepticons... I want to go home Sounders, I want to rebuild, not more Warfare…" Nightshroud may not have had any success in telling Skyfire that Starscream didn't want to fight, so now was the perfect chance to see if the Autobot saboteur was the same. Given how much he 'respected' Soundwave, would he listen or would he be just like Skyfire and completely deny the wishes of the rogue Decepticons? They did not want to be on this planet anymore. They wanted to return to Cybertron and rebuild, but the Autobots refused to acknowledge that in any single way. Again Starscream's voice filled the air with one more message. "I remember what the Decepticons stood for at the beginning. That is the cause that I am willing to fight for. Rebuild Cybertron. A just and prosperous Cybertron. Megatron and Optimus Prime might have accepted Earth as their new home but I will not. Look around. The last batch of Decepticons that were thrown here were brainwashed by some fleshling with a vendetta against Cybertronians. Did they get help? No. They were thrown in there, some still under control of the human. I wouldn’t be surprised that man has an insider within G.H.O.S.T.. Despite all of that, this evil flesh bag is using Cybertronians against each other and yet the Decepticons are monsters. We’re the ones who are destroying the Human-Cybertronian alliance…"

Jazz rubbed his face and groaned. And he thought Starscream was bad.
"Soundwave... you don't want to be tortured. So WHY do you think I'm here NOW and TELLING you what I'm being sent to do. I don't WANT to, Sounders. I really don't. Those are my orders. I'm going behind my leader's back talking to YOU about my orders. Because I RESPECT you."
Jazz had a sad look. He really didn't want to see them locked up. He couldn't go against rules.
"It's why I'm being sent. I'm not a G.H.O.S.T. agent. I'm more free than he in this matter. I'm risking my career and my friendship and position to tell you. Believe me or not, I don't care. But if you truly don't want to go back... then listen to what I say and RUN."
Jazz turned away, shaking his head.
"And Frenzy? Don't get locked up. Try and convince Sounders would you? We might be enemies but I really don't want to see you imprisoned. If I do catch you... this meeting never happened. But please try to hide and keep away from me as long as possible. Soundwave is my polar opposite in many ways which is why I look up to him. Without him... I think I'd be bored without someone of equal, or even better, skills than me."
He turned to Soundwave one last time. "Yeah I said it. Sometimes I think you're better than me. Run or don't. But I won't go easy on you if I do catch you. I don't know why Optimus and Megatron are letting humans dictate them. But since I just got here from Cybertron, I haven't been tagged by G.H.O.S.T. and I don't plan to. See you around or not."
Jazz transformed and sped off into the distance.

Even with all of that effort, Jazz still did not get it. Either that or he did and refused to do anything about it. Soundwave didn't care if Jazz was risking everything by coming out here to warn him, though the Spymaster could use that to his advantage and let Starscream and Nightshroud know, but that didn't change the fact that Jazz had ignored Soundwave's own warning. Decepticons were being tortured.. and he didn't care! Now he was starting to understand Nightshroud's frustrations when she had attempted to talk to Skyfire and got nowhere with him either. It was simply amazing how little the Autobots seemed to care what G.H.O.S.T. was doing behind the Autobots' backs, unless of course they were in on it the entire time. Wouldn't surprise him in the least. And despite it all, the Autobot saboteur was simply going to just drive away. Soundwave growled in anger as he told the Cassetticons to climb back into the tape deck and once they did he too transformed just until he reached Jazz. With his brand new aerial alt-mode catching up to Jazz was quite easy, and so he transformed landing directly in front of the Autobot with a loud. He shook angrily, and he was about to make it Jazz's problem. "DO NOT WISH TORTURE BUT REMAIN COMPLICIT DESPITE KNOWING OF TORTURE. DECEPTICONS TORTURED BY G.H.O.S.T., BRAINWASHED BY HUMAN MALE TAKING LIMBS FROM DECEPTICONS." If that didn't get his attention, then nothing would. "AUTOBOTS: NO BETTER THAN THE COUNCIL."

Jazz snapped back as he swerved to avoid hitting the Decepticon. He transformed again.
"I can't do ANYTHING without getting captured and tortured myself, Soundwave! Until Optimus decides this isn't worth it, which had better be soon, then my hands are tied! I'm just one mech!"
A look of sadness crossed his face. He truly wished he could do something. But the way Optimus sounded was like something more was going on.
"Look. I can try and do some reconnaissance to see why Optimus and Megatron just don't stop the torture. I can't do much more. I don't approve of what's going on but there HAS to be a reason Optimus and the others haven't done anything to stop it."
Jazz was frustrated and wanted to rip his own face off. How could he get Soundwave to understand that he WANTED to do something but there was really nothing he could do at the present time! Warning him to keep him on the run was preventing him from being tortured. Did Soundwave truly want to be tortured? Soundwave claimed Jazz didn't understand and he didn't.
"You've been saying torture over and over again. But yet you expect something to change in two seconds? Even YOU know this kind of thing doesn't just magically disappear. This is a serious thing and needs to be handled delicately!"

Jazz's words were.. curious to say the least. He'd risk everything in coming out here to warn Soundwave, but he wouldn't make the same effort when it came to Optimus and Megatron to warn them of what Soundwave was telling him, and by extension Starscream. If nothing else Jazz was at least willing to investigate the torture now, but it didn't make Soundwave happy either way. Sure things couldn't change in a second, but if Optimus and Megatron were in fact fully aware that this was a problem to begin with then that spoke volumes of the Autobots and their supposed 'freedom for the right of all sentient beings' thing. "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings." Ugh that felt horrible playing the Prime's most infamous line, but he wanted to be that bot and use that recording just to get a reaction out of the Autobot. He meant it in a sarcastic tone, wanting to ensure that the saboteur got the message. "This is not freedom." Oh even worse now it was Megatron's voice that was playing from Soundwave, a bit of dialogue he had picked up shortly before his capture. He'd leave it at that, crossing his arms as he stared at the Autobot menacingly as if searching for any trace of evidence that Jazz meant what he actually said. He had no intention of actually agreeing with the mech, but it would be amusing to say the least to see what Jazz did uncover and just how much drama it stirred with the Autobots themselves. That was something that he could enjoy to say the least. "JAZZ: INTERROGATE OPTIMUS PRIME AND MEGATRON. WILL DO AS I PLEASE."
