Dylan shrugged, they'd definitely see about that.
Not that he wanted to write off Jazz, if nothing else, he wanted to believe there were good people out there. But he also knew, that he had a very bad history with adults. Starting with exactly how his dad had treated him during his youth, until now. So what did he tell Jazz for an answer? It was honestly a good question and he knew it. "It's... Complicated." Dylan decided on in all honesty.
He rested his head back and thought about if he could ellaborate on it. Every time he did, people looked differently at him. No one really knew how to talk to him. Just how to empathize. "The kind of stuff I went through they say not a lot of kids do," He explained. "I guess it makes me what my foster parents call a "handful" when they're nice about it."

Jazz was silent as Dylan spoke. He wasn't telling everything but it wasn't his place to pry for answers. All Jazz did was gently wrap a blanket around Dylan and give him a good pillow.
"Kids will always be handfuls. But I think if someone truly wants a child, they'll welcome the challenges they offer. From the little I've seen from you, I think you're a good kid. Strong, good head on your shoulders. You've certainly got a quick story up your sleeve if caught about why you're digging in a dumpster."
Jazz chuckled softly, warmly.
"For that, I can help you come up with betters lies that will hold up better if you'd like? It's completely up to you. For now, you should rest here for the night. I have a fridge of human food if you're interested. I ordered some in case I had human visitors. Help yourself."
Everything in the fridge was safe to eat and had been recently bought and stored.

That was a good point.
Dylan was pretty well adjusted but he was also definitely an old soul which helped. He couldn’t say it was for a good reason though, kind of the opposite actually. Since he’d spent the majority of his life surviving. “Well, it definitely helps that I’ve had to do that to survive,” he admitted with honesty. “I wouldn’t mind having a few more cover stories though. Honestly, that’s the hardest part.”
Food? Well he wouldn’t say no to that part at least. He needed a full belly to get him through another couple of days at the very least. “I’m definitely not going to say no to something to eat though. Where can I find it?”

Jazz pointed into the room dedicated to any humans he might encounter. He might still be relatively new to Earth, but he was already liking a lot of its culture. Especially the music!
"If you want, I can give you some pointers and lessons on how to better prepare yourself if you ever find yourself alone again."
As a SpecOps mech, Jazz had all sorts of tricks and gizmos up his proverbial sleeve. He waited for Dylan to find some food he may want. In the meantime, he put on music and settled in with a cup of energon, as if it were a tea of sorts.

Dylan nodded his head.
Alone again? He was pretty sure he was going to be alone after that night. After all, he was a sneaky kid. The type of one that would probably give the slip right away after getting some pointers. Not that he didn't like Jazz, but he also wasn't about to give the mech any funny ideas. Still, he did find at least something to make himself a sandwich and took a bite as he looked up. "Sure, throw me some ideas. I don't mind brainstorming," He explained. "I usually find myself that way anyway."
