Punch/Counterpunch
Nicknames: None so far
Age: (Mental age in human years) ~30 (Punch), ~35 (as Counterpunch)
Gender: Female (Punch) Male (as Counterpunch)
Faction: Autobot (Punch), Decepticon (as Counterpunch)
Alt Mode: Blue sportscar/Pontiac Fiero with red rims
G.H.O.S.T, Civilian, or Other: (if civilian state occupation) Other (Former double agent, now rogue)
Residence: Roaming on the down low
GENERAL INFO
Weapons: Twin Mortar Launcher (Punch), Photon Cannon (as Counterpunch), standard sidearm blaster
Holoform: None yet
Appearance: Punch is an average height carbot - maybe Bumblebee’s current size, or a little taller. Her frame is predominantly a rich blue, with an orangey-yellow torso, and accents of the same colour around her shoulders and hips. Her arms and shoulders are blue, with the front fenders of her car mode sweeping back off her shoulders, and side panels from the car wrapping around her torso and upper legs, in the shape of an open trenchcoat. The rear of the car forms her boots, and her thighs forearms, and feet are black; her palms are black, while her fingers are red. Her helm is predominantly black, with yellow panels around her cheeks, and her eyes are pale blue. She has a deployable silver faceplate, as well as a deployable silver visor.
Counterpunch is taller, the height of other Decepticon cars - think Breakdown size. He’s more square, and broader shoulders, exaggerated by the flared shoulderpads formed by the front of his car mode. The windscreen forms his chest, and any orangey-yellow accents are minimized - instead, his accent colours are red (such as the rims), with some purple panels too. His helm is black and blue, and sharper, with an angular mouthplate, and a red visor. (I wanna draw them soon but I haven’t had time to)
Personality: Punch was a bright eyed and optimistic bot when she was young, but her unique position in the war changed her. These days, she’s jaded - she never really found a way out of the detective mindset, so she’s always on edge, always looking for clues or hints to pick up on, and always drawing conclusions. She still slips easily into her Counterpunch persona - some might even wonder which one’s the disguise. Somewhere inside, though, she regrets losing her youth to the war, and thinks, hopes, that these new Terrans can help her make up for lost time, or at least avoid the cruelties of the past.
For every bit Punch is skeptical, closed off, and cold, Counterpunch is moreso. He’s always been gruff, cruel, and predisposed to violence - almost a stereotypical take on a Decepticon during the war, at least at first. As Punch infiltrated further and further, so too developed the persona of Counterpunch. He has a different voice, different tastes, although he’s not truly another person - they’re one person and a guise, it’s just a question of which one is really real.
Likes:
- Quiet time alone (or with the few people they trust…)
- Nice cy-gars and hard engex
- Puzzles, especially solving them
- (As Counterpunch) Brutal combat
- (As Punch) The younger generation, although she doesn’t know it yet
Dislikes:
- Losing control of a situation
- People they can’t figure out
- Being stranded on Earth (although Punch has started to warm up to it)
- Broken promises
- Not being taken seriously

History: “My counterpart is nearby… real nearby.”
Punch was born with a unique power - a genetic offshoot of triple-changing, that allowed her to take on a secondary robot mode rather than a secondary vehicle. Born after the Great War had started, she was quickly folded into the Autobots, and rose up the ranks of the Autobots’ Espionage Division. Only Optimus Prime, the higher-ups, and those who needed to know were aware of her special talent - her ability to take the guise of the Decepticon Counterpunch.
A manufactured persona, Counterpunch arrived to the Decepticons before Punch had even finished her proper training. Taller, gruffer, and most notably male-presenting, Counterpunch hardly bore a passing resemblance to Punch, the Autobot he claimed to be his “sister”. He claimed to be looking to right her wrong, and fit into the Decepticons well - he wasn’t the most well-known, but he certainly wasn’t a d-lister.
Punch’s dual identity is a closely-kept secret, their relation only being known as siblings if the connection was even made. Although her natural dual-transformation was integral for her role, she received special modifications to further the guise - a second set of biometrics, a second badge, extra weaponry, and limited stealth coating, to name a few. Her counter-ops were vital to the war effort, but it took a toll - the constant acting of two roles, and being knuckle-deep in both sides of the war left her jaded, skeptical of many and trusting of few. She’s always on edge, always in the detective mindset, focused on the little details, and she’s picked up a smoking habit as a result. She’s even hiding doubts that she may not just be an actress and a role - after fully becoming someone else for so long, who’s the real one?
Punch arrived on Earth during the climax of the combat there. Deeply involved in both sides now, spying both ways, the stress of her career was at its peak. Both personas became grumpier, taking solace in the fact that, one way or another, they would soon be back home on Cybertron with the winning team. With the destruction of the spacebridge, however, their hopes were crushed, and both retreated from their respective teams into solitude. The next twenty-odd years were spent alone - no contact was made with anyone, Cybertronian or human. They kept an ear to the ground, though, perhaps out of instinct, or the feeling that something bigger is afoot…
