GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. RESPECT. This is a safe space for anyone in the RP community, and as such, racism, prejudice, homophobia, transphobia, ablism, and the like, will not be tolerated in any way, shape, or form. If you find yourself a victim of any form of bullying, please contact a member of staff, as we have a zero-tolerance policy, and will handle it properly.
2. When joining, you can chose to first create an OOC ACCOUNT with your alias in ALL CAPS. Otherwise, you can jump right into creating your character account which should be their name in PROPER CAPS. Please see the character creation rules a look for more.
3. Activity checks will be conducted on the second weekend of every month to assure everyone is still here and member lists are up to date. Additionally, if you’re playing a canon we ask you post at least twice every month since Transformer canons are often sought-after and I’d rather have people not simply sitting on them. If you can’t meet these requirements or make a check - please just inform a member of staff! As life always comes first we are more than happy to help or give lenience when needed.
4. All canon sweeps will be conducted one month from the last posting of the member. If they have not posted in that time. If you can’t do so for any reason again let us know! It is not a big deal - and exceptions can always be made.
5. According to Proboards TOS, you must be at least thirteen years old to join the site. No exceptions.
CHARACTER CREATION
1. All members are allowed THREE FREE CHARACTERS when joining. After that, you must keep each of your characters active for at least a month in order to create the next. This is to make sure that all characters are kept active.
2. At the present, we do not allow techno-organic or hybrid characters despite human-Cybertronian families and relationships. As this is described as a newer alliance. This may change in the future, but for now. We'd like to keep the characters to Cybertronians and humans.
3. All player characters should be at least nine years old (accounting for our two canon human kids), that said, as such, all characters under thirteen must be represented by animated or art face claims. Need help finding or creating one? Ask! most people are willing to help. That said, if you are using art from anyone but yourself or a generator - please give proper credit to who made it! Don’t want to find an image? That’s cool too! We will accept detailed descriptions too! Just be sure to put it somewhere in your app.
4. We accept canons and OCs alike. Canons can be from any form of Transformers canon, we only ask their backstory, appearance, and the like are modified to fit the continuity the site is based in. Though aware there are G1 allusions, this site treats Earthspark as its own canon - and so should its players.
5. While Transformers have inevitably had families of their own in the interim, unless they're specifically stated - please do NOT create family members for canons. They must either be canonically their family - or specifically asked for/agreed upon. That said, Autobots and humans as family are of course a big part of this series, so it can be assumed that these are a new norm. No big secrets needed.
6. You must complete an application before posting with your character. We offer two different forms of applications: both a standard version and a Freeform application. So choose the one that fits your style best!
7. We are a one character per account site. As such you should have an account for each one you make.
8. If you make an app for a canon without reserving and disappear, we’re a first come, first serve site. Therefore, anyone is able to apply for said canon if there is not a reservation. If you absolutely have your heart set on someone please reserve them. Reservations last two weeks and guarantee no one will app them in that time.
IN-CHARACTER RULES
1. Please do not start RPing until your character has been accepted. Remember that the staff have lives and jobs of their own - we will get to you as soon as possible!
2. On Earthspark, we have no word count but do ask that you give your partner enough to work with. Whether that be a couple of sentences or a couple of paragraphs.
3. Please remember, the site only considers the initial pilot as canon. As such we are not beholden to any details given after. Feel free to pick and choose which parts you want to use or not use.
4. No god modding, power playing, meta gaming. Just bad RP etiquette in general.
5. All battle outcomes should be decided on prior to the start of the battle. We politely ask that you don’t make your character indestructible or incapable of taking a hit. Everyone takes damage and everyone gets hurt once in a while.
6. Keep all in-character drama just that, in-character. Not every character will mesh with and like every other one. This should not be taken as a personal affront to you or your character. If you have any conflict with another and serious reason to believe you’re being targeted, please message the staff. We will handle it.
7. Please mark all threads with triggering topics properly with a TW for trigger warning. First posts should also include whst the trigger warning is for! Thank you.
8. All sexual situations should be fade to black and be kept strictly PG-13. No implying any sexual situations for anyone under the age of eighteen either. Remember this is, after all, a Proboards site.
9. All Cybertron threads should be in the past board. Given that the Autobots have destroyed their space bridge in this continuity. We will not be focusing on the Cybertron aspect of the site - at least not yet.
10. Events on the site take place in real, fluid time. Meaning that the month and year corresponds with the one in real life. You can be in as many threads as you can handle - but keeping a timeline of them is recommended.
DISCORD AND CBOX RULES
1. All general rules still apply!
2. NO ADVERTISING. We have a board for that. Talk about other boards is OK in Discord but keep it to a happy minimum please.
3. No religion or politics. “I’ll pray for you.” Is OK. But most talk just leads to arguments so nothing else.
4. In-character chatter should be in the appropriate channel.
