Dylan hated that he had to go back to school on Monday.
After the eventful day at the carnival, he was riding a high that he just didn’t want to go down from. So, he’d decided he’d get in as many fun adventures as he could before he went back to school. It wasn’t hard as the group home let the kids have (mostly) free rein of their time when not in activities that pertained to their Cybertronian education.
So, he’d taken his skateboard out again, and decided to see what was going on in town.
He swerved around parked cars and alt modes, keeping his eyes out for any straggling Autobots. “I wonder if they have any new movies out?” He asked himself. “Nah… Too mundane. Oh! Maybe I can see if I can tag any sleeping Bots again. Nah… Don’t want to get in trouble.”
He tapped his chin quietly as he moved along the sidewalk. “Go to the forest?” He barely paid attention to the direction in which he was moving at this point.

It wasn't often Twitch found opportunity to sneak away when it came to the Malto family. Ever since Bumblebee had arrived and what had happened with Mandroid, her "mother" was always keeping a close eye on them or Bumblebee keeping a close optic. Being their mentor, it was like having an older brother around or another parent especially with how strict he could be at times. So, it made opportunities to sneak out extremely rare or difficult. At least until now.
Twitch had carefully watched the activity around the house, waiting as everyone became preoccupied with the concern for school coming, work, or other matters. Grinning to herself, she saw a brief window of opportunity and had slipped away through the back of the barn and into the woods, far enough away she could safely transform without drawing anyone's attention and taking off to the sky. Though she couldn't fly high, she was maneuverable enough to keep low and in certain spots as she made her way towards the famous Autobot City, too eager to get a look at something outside the boundaries of Witwicky. She wouldn't be gone long, just enough to explore before dinner was ready. But, Twitch was aware she had to be careful with her bonds to Thrash and her other siblings, not wanting to alert them to her own mischief she was already knee deep in at this point.
Though it took time, the young Terran eventually found herself in a sprawling city, and if she had been in robot mode her optics would have been the size of dinner plates at the sights she saw. Definitely bigger than the town of Witwicky! In fact, it was enormous! Giddiness escaping her and over the bonds she shared with the rest, Twitch dove right down towards the street level, transforming halfway and dropping down to the sidewalk and startling some citizens nearby. "Ooops, sorry!" The femme quickly apologized, smiling sheepishly at the glares of annoyance shot her way. Well, probably could have been a better entrance.
Still, she was undeterred. She had gotten this far, and she wasn't about to turn back now.
Taking a deep intake, the drone femme stood straight and quickly moved along to avoid any further issues, turning her head every which way as she moved. The city was far larger and more noisy than Witwicky, and much more crowded. Everywhere she looked there was something new, and bots she had never seen before. So these were the cybertronians Bumblebee and the Maltos had told them about, the ones beyond Bumblebee, Optimus, and Megatron. Fascination shown in the femme's golden optics, so much so she almost entirely missed a much smaller being until she chanced to see movement out of the corner of her optics, "Whoa! Sorry about that! I wasn't paying attention!" She apologized as she stopped herself from nearly knocking over Dylan.

Dylan, to say the least, was a bit startled.
He'd still been deep in thought when Twitch had nearly knocked him over. Honestly, it wasn't like it was that uncommon, but having one come that close definitely was. What was more unusual was that she was a Bot that didn't look like one he'd ever seen before. While Dylan didn't claim to actually know everyone in Autobot City (who did?) he did find it odd that he didn't recognize one that sounded so young. After all, pretty much everyone in the city went to the same schools, right?
But on the other hand, he did consider it may have been a transfer from another Cybertronian city.
"Oh, no worries! Sorry, I wasn't paying much attention either," He chuckled as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Hey, this is my first time seeing you around here... Are you new to the city?" He asked curiously.

Peering down at the boy she had nearly run into, Twitch could see Dylan seemed about the same age as Robby, if maybe a year or two older than her brother. At least she wouldn’t have hurt him too badly compared to say someone like Bumblebee who was twice her size. The chances of meeting another young human however may yet work in her favor.
“Still, probably should have watched where I was going.” Twitch apologized once more, still feeling a bit bad about the situation. But when he inquired if she was new her spark did skip a beat. Was it that obvious she was new? Perhaps her form or her reactions to the city had given it away. What could she even say? She wasn’t a typical Cybertronian, nor did she really talk like them either which would be another dead giveaway. Bumblebee and dad had obviously taught them some of the Cybertronian terminology, enough to help pass as any other in short interactions but their main sue of human terminology usually won out most times. She had to think fast, maybe only give some of the truth. “I, uh, yea. Yea, I’m not from around here.” She finally confirmed after hesitating for a moment.
‘Come on Twitch, fake it til you make it.’ She told herself, calming her panicked spark for a moment. “I’m actually visiting from another town, far from here. This is my first time to Autobot City. I’ve heard so much about it I had to see for myself!” Okay, that wasn’t a total lie. She had heard their parents and Bumblebee mention the city once in a while, and the little femme had been curious to visit it for some time now which was why she was there in the first place.
“I’m Twitch by the way! Twitch Malto!” Pushing the worry from her processor, Twitch merely grinned once more and offered a hand of greeting towards Dylan.

Dylan could already tell he'd made this Bot a nervous wreck.
What in the world made her so nervous? It wasn't like he had asked her a life-threatening question, right? But on the other hand, he guessed that she might have been shy...? If she wasn't, he just hoped it wasn't a Decepticon hiding their identity. He had had his fair share of run-ins with them, after all, and they were the last thing he wanted at the moment. "Oh! Cool! I mean, I know there are plenty of other Autobot cities, never gotten to visit them myself though." Dylan replied. "I've spent most of my life here... And for a while in Witwicky. It's been a long time though."
Oh? A Bot with a human last name? That was a little surprising, and new. She seemed too young to be mated to one, so what was that about? Considering Dylan had heard of Autobots adopting humans (obviously) but never the other way around. "Oh, I'm Dylan. Uh, Malto huh? Is that a human last name?" He asked as he put his hands on his hips curiously. "That's a first for me - at least unless someone's mated a human. Pretty cool if you're adopted by humans."

"Yea, I live in a small town from here, heard a lot of things about this place." Twitch explained, figuring she could tell the truth to some extent. Of course there were other Autobot/Cybertronian cities, but Autobot City was perhaps the most famous and most progressive of them all. It was already a massive change from Witwicky which was perhaps a third of its size at best. From the way Bumblebee had spoke in their lessons many of the most renowned Autobots also lived here, and apparently there were rumors there were more to the city than anyone actually knew about. But, that was just one of the many rumors she heard float around town on top of other more ridiculous rumors and conspiracy theories.
Part of Twitch actually wanted to know some of the more logical sounding ones herself though.
Though she also didn't jump onto where she was from. More so when Dylan curiously asked about her last name. Wait, Cybertronian's didn't have last names? There was no hiding the quizzical look on her face at the questions Dylan inquired about. Actually, it had never occurred to the Terran to ask Bumblebee if having a last name was common among Cybertronians or they were just a unique case. "Er, yea, its a human last name." How in the world was she going to fake this. "Me and my spark brother were found by the Maltos all alone in a cave, we don't really recall anything of our, uh...our..." Wait, what was that word again? Creators? "Our sire and carrier haven't been around for a long time, so we've been raised by them and their kids." Yea, that seemed the right wording, and a bit of a white lie. She didn't exactly know how else to cover her aft on that one.

Dylan tilted his head.
It was interesting hearing about the other side of things, that was for sure. He crossed his arms slightly, leaning back. Having been raised by Autobots - or rather a rotating detachment of them most of his life he’d never imagined that the shoe could be on the other foot too. What with how much longer lived the Cybertronians were.
But, he digressed, Dylan didn’t know everything, right? After all, he was only twelve. “That’s rough. I guess I’m the opposite story. I’ve lived with Autobots all my life, or most of it anyway,” he explained rather honestly. “Can’t say I don’t remember my creator though. Kind of wish I didn’t either, honestly. My dad wasn’t exactly a very nice guy.”

“Guess humans and cybertronians have a lot in common, what with what they’re willing to do and attitude. Me and my brother have met some pretty bad people.” The first one that came to her processor was none other than the one armed freak, Mandroid. Though he had come up with the name for their kind there born on Earth, he was far from a pleasant to be around. The sight of his gadgets and gizmos had been enough to give her nightmares and something akin to goose bumps, the extent of his methods though was entirely other story.
Not wanting to go back down that road, Twitch quickly pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind. “Anyway, those types of people are worth forgetting Dylan, not exactly worth wasting your energy on.” Twitch was trying to be positive on the matter, offering a quick smile. “So, you’ve mostly lived here in Autobot City right? I could use a tour if you’re not too busy.”
Perhaps a bit of an abrupt shift in topic, but Twitch was eager to move onto happier pursuits, as well as try and shift away from trying to pull lies from thin air. It was like mom always said, her and Thrash weren’t the best liars, nor could she risk the true exposure of what she was. She was surprised she had managed to fake it so far, but the young femme highly doubted she could keep it up.

Dylan agreed that they were best forgotten.
But sometimes it was easier said than done too. Dylan tried to put his father out of his mind most days, but the fact of the matter was he felt like a part of him didn't want to forget. There was that small part of him that wanted to remember what his father did, and make him pay one day. But at the same time, he'd been taught time and time again that it wasn't "the right way". And that he had to let go of his anger someday.
Today, probably wasn't that day.
He'd been lost in these thoughts when she'd asked him for the tour. So he'd had to snap himself out of it quickly. "Oh! Right! I bet that you probably need one, huh? It's pretty big around here. But Metroplex is a big Bot, so no surprise there," He admitted. Motioning around. "I can totally show you around. Where do you want to see first?"

Twitch was about answer Dylan of where she wanted to go when her processor seemed to click about one of his words.
Did this human say a specific name? As in, Autobot City wasn't [8]just[/i] a city, but a Cybertronian? Was there such a thing as a city-sized transformer? The young femme has to look at the city once more, trying to imagine a colossal Cybertronian in her mind. "Wait, so...This city is really a cybertronian?! How is that even possible? I thought Optimus and Megatron were big, but to have a whole...city-former, that's mind boggling!" Twitch's lack of knowledge of Metroplex would probably give some things away, perhaps that she was far younger than most Cybertronians. It was also something else she noted to ask Bumblebee about.
The poor mech was going to have a lot of teaching on his plate. Realizing her overexcitement was starting to kick in, she smiled sheepishly and cleared her vocalizer, "Er, anyway...wherever you think would be best to start. I don't really have an idea where to start, so lead the way!" She told him, smiling a bit.
