Although Tech's alternate mode was one of those old models that you only saw in museums, it was very comfortable. Neither of them wanted to change it, it was the best memory of their first adventure together. They both felt that way.
Luckily the road was clear of snow. All they had to do was drive carefully and slowly. Another advantage of the Alt, they couldn't even speed up enough to risk it "So... Here's my plan! Since you're now connected to my phone like you're another phone, we can video call each other! You'll be able to see the carnaval and everything else from somewhere safe in your alt mode while listening to music. It's the perfect plan!" Tech was waiting for her to finish to speak and, surely, put a point against her plan. Parthia beat her to it "You can leave your camera off and you'll still see mine. Also, you have these earphones on your head, they'll isolate the sound. The only thing that will attract attention is your... unconventional alt mode" Her poor Transformer. So sensitive and adorable. Tech honestly couldn't say anything against the plan. It was a pretty... good one. Sometimes she hated that her human was so smart and could make so many points against some argument she had already prepared. All in order to get away with something she didn't agree with. But he also appreciated her intelligence.
"Okay. We'll proceed with your plan. In case of an accident or emergency you come back with me and we'll go home. Do you agree?"

”Yeah things were pretty rough after everything went down. But I was happy to retire when I got here. Now I help run the Reunification program,” he explained. With a nod of his head. ”Dylan’s one of our life timers at this point. Been keeping me on my toes since he was… What, five?” Dylan nodded his head. As for getting him to the main hospital. ”We can probably arrange a visit though. I’ll just have to work it out with whoever he’s living with by then.”Dylan waved it off a little when he said that. Honestly, Dylan would sneak out of whatever home they’d put him in that time, at least he had a lot of practice. “It won’t be a problem. Most families are happy to get me away from them for a few hours,” he explained jokingly. “You don’t get to me in the program for seven years otherwise.” “We’ll make the sure little guy gets to visit his hero!” Ratchet looked down at Dylan and winked. He was grinning when his optics met with Lancaster’s again. “But enough about this, what are the activities planned for the day? I haven’t really planned anything specific aside from saying hello to old friends. I don’t even know what’s happening here. I was told I was on a forced vacation, Doctor’s Orders, and sent here.”Ratchet laughed, amused by the whole thing. It had been nice to drive to Witwicky and he was looking forward to the time off. “That is, if you don’t have plans of your own already!”Dylan smirked. He could imagine that someone like Ratchet, again, needed a forced vacation. But all the same, he was pretty excited to think of spending Christmas with a legend, to say the least. ”Oh! It’s a carnival, they put it on every year. We try to take the kids, y’know. Give ‘em some time out,” Lancaster pointed out. ”I’m down to hang out, since technically I’m with my Christmas charge. As long as he’s on his best behavior.”Dylan did his best scouts honor salute. Too bad he wasn’t a Boy Scout. But gave a cheeky grin while doing so all the same. “Don’t worry about it. There’s a lot to do. High grade for you guys, and midway games and junk food for me,” Dylan replied. Hoping Lancaster would forget his ADHD for the holidays. “C’mon let’s go see if we can find anyone else you know. Make it a real party!” Dylan was already jogging ahead at that. Lancaster gave a small chuckle as he turned to Ratchet. ”A firecracker this kid. Thanks for indulging him,” Lancaster pointed out as he nodded that they should follow. But at a slight distance. ”Dylan’s a good kid, but I rarely get to see him this happy… He hasn’t had a placement attempt this year and ran away twice. The older he gets the more it hurts him I think.”

He seemed quite excited at the prospect of having the old medic tag along and Ratchet didn’t mind having Dylan and his mech guardian help him find old friends. He was looking for a towering presence in red and blue but was sad to see he couldn’t see his oldest friend yet. Having humans around had its downsides and Lancasted looked like a mech who could use an audial to let out some of his worries. Ratchet nodded as he listened, before putting a servos on the other mech. “We’re living amongst them now, Optimus wants us to help as much as we can. I’m glad to see you are doing your part in the grand scheme of things. I’ll gladly do my part and help a youngling that needs guidance. Now, let’s put the sadness behind us and enjoy the day.”Ratchet moved his servos away, stepping carefully toward Dylan to see what he was up too.

First of all, he'd noticed that they'd fallen behind a bit. But honestly, that wasn't the biggest deal either. Instead, he was more focused on what there was to do around there. Primus knew he didn't want to look boring, did he? Though he had also noted that Ratchet was probably looking to find some of his old friends, and made a mental note to keep an eye out for anyone he may have known. "Y'know, I wonder if Skyfire is anywhere around here? I met him a couple of months ago," He pointed out. "Y'know before I dipped on everyone. You were friends with him, right?" Lancaster snorted, a little amused by Dylan's bounciness and desire to help. "You met Skyfire? Primus, do you just go looking for legendary mechs?" He joked lightly. "I wonder where the nearest high grade stand is... I think I could use one myself."Dylan wasn't really paying attention to the latter comment. But decided to just add: "I mean, most of them find me. Except Optimus, I just kinda tagged him by accident." He pointed out. That was certainly an event to remember. "I'm just saying I bet Ratchet wants to meet some of his old buddies on vacation. Y'know. Shoot the slag. Talk about the... Uh, can I call them good old days?"

The War took most of his friends away so he had to build a wall around his spark, keep as many bots away from his spark as he could. Didn't always worked and it was an old habit he did want to try and break. So Ratchet laughed, patting Lancaster on the back. "I'll be glad to see any old friends. If you do find some of that high grade let me know. The one advantage of being off duty is that I can party." Ratchet looked down at Dylan with a grin. "They weren't all good but they sure are old. Met the Prime himself, did you? How did that went down?"

Dylan was ever the talkative conversationalist, after all. So he tilted his head curiously as he mentioned partying. Ratchet of all mechs liked to party? It was almost hard for him to believe given he was always known for being so stern. "It's kind of funny, I never took you for the partying type," He explained. "I like to party too - when I can. Usually I get busted, but when I get away with it. Oh yeah, fun times." I mean, he was only twelve. But Dylan knew his way around the streets. He was invited places, and hung out with people that he probably shouldn't have. But he didn't really mind it, he was tough. Oh! Optimus. Right. He hadn't even thought about his casual mention of meeting the Prime. "Optimus is pretty cool, actually. Even if he had to take me back to care, he didn't even mind me tagging him. Have to say, I was kind of surprised," Dylan admitted honestly. "Most of the upper Bots like you and him are cool, honestly. I've met a couple over the years. I get around honestly."

He used to be quite the party animal, doing well in his studies because… He was good at it. No one could survive being the CMO of a rag tag warring band if they were passable at it. “Young man, I’ll let you know I could outdrink anyone.”The mention of Optimus made the old medic perk up a little. He missed his old friend, and hoped they would be able to catch up soon. “The things I could tell you about Optimus. He’d never forgive me.”Ratchet laughed, trying to imagine Dylan pesking Optimus about old stories. Serve the Prime right for keeping them all on earth, he can deal with the humans. The old medic was fine with limited contact with the race.

The old medic was fine with limited contact with the race. Outdrink anyone, huh? Dylan almost wanted to find him a challenge for that one. Even if alcohol was not something he was fond of, at all. He did think it might be at least vaguely amusing to see just how much high grade a mech like Ratchet could take. “Bet,” he replied. “If we’re ever at a party together sometime - you have to do a shot contest for me. Because it’s epic when you can hold it down.” He joked. He snorted a bit - not the least bit surprised. It went without saying to him that everyone had their wild younger days, right? Though now he had to be curious as hell what those younger days entailed. “It’s OK, you can tell me all you want,” Dylan replied with a smirk. “It’s not like I’m suddenly going to end up in the home of some high ranking official I can tell it to, right? Promise not to tell it to any of the group home delinquents though.” He joked.

The old medic had seen his fair share of human children, they always disarmed him with their complete lack of sense of self-preservation. As if this tiny human could ever held his own against a mechanical being 50 time it’s size. How cute. “The only thing I will spill is that you do remind me of a younger someone. Always talking, dreaming, knowing the future would only hold good things for him.”The old medic sighed and shook his head with a grin. “Never change young one. You’ll go far.”

"I completely and absolutely agree, Tech" She knew she could convince her girl.
The way to the city was long and without rush, so Parthia took the opportunity to check the latest news on the Transformers nationwide. Reading the news about a recent Autobot-Decepticon showdown, her mind wandered to what Tech had told her almost a month ago "I still can't believe you just stumbled upon Bumblebee out of nowhere! He's been out of the public eye since before I was born. You are very lucky, my Spark!" And therefore, she was twice as lucky. And very proud that Tech hadn't blown a fuse from worry or nervousness in his first contact with another Transformer like her.

And very proud that Tech hadn't blown a fuse from worry or nervousness in his first contact with another Transformer like her. Remembering that encounter caused a lot of things in Tech. The emotions that prevailed the most were the emotion of finally having met another like her and finding part of the answers she needed. But also a lot of anxiety about what would come next. When Bumblebee was willing to see her and train her...
What kind of training will it be? Will she have to spend a lot of time away from Parthia? Will it be dangerous? Would she have to live with the other Terrans? Even other humans? There were too many variables in a single equation. So Tech wanted to try to cancel some of those concerns.
"Remember everything we discussed and agreed on regarding this matter. Until Bumblebee calls us to meet you, we must keep even more hidden" Honestly, the wait was frying her processor.

Heck, he figured he would be too. If only because he felt like a lot of times he was struggling to find what he wanted to do, if nothing else. His sense of direction hindered by no one really being there to rein him in or focus him yet. “Thanks, Ratchet I really appreciate that, the head of the group home, Ironhide says that a lot too,” he admitted. Even though no one really should have been surprised that Ironhide enjoyed himself too. “Oh! I wonder if he’s around, you guys are friends too, right?” He looked around and tapped his chin. “I’m not sure where he’d be right now though.”

It was so sad to see how little humans were abandoned by their parents. All the kid needed was some reassurance and guidance and he’d go far. He reminded him of Orion Pax, that glint in his eye, devilish glint in his eyes as a youngster, before the responsibilities and loss crushed that away. The old medic perked up at the mention of Ironhide. He knew that old bastard all too well, would be more than happy to share some highgrade with him. A quick glance around confirmed that no towering green bots were around. “You got that right kid, I do know Ironhide. Old buddy of mine. I would have seen him if he was here, he tends to stand out.”

Nick smirked. He felt good that he had been able to craft something good. Again, he felt his shoulder as he did so. Bumblebee had given him something of his, something so important. Hell, he’d made him an Autobot in all but species. So he wanted Bee to carry something from him too. “It just made sense after you gave me the sigil,” Nick replied. “Now we carry a part of each other, wherever we are, y’know?” Oh right! His present. Nick brightened a bit as he looked at it. He didn’t care about the wrapping or anything, he was not a material guy. But he did get an even bigger grin on his face when he saw the shirt. “Bee I love it! Seriously, puns have always been my go-to,” he laughed. “And anybody who actually knows you’re alive is going to really appreciate the joke.” After a moment, he also added. “So what’s the game plan, big guy?” Bumblebee was silently thankful that Nick had appreciated his Christmas gift. He didn't have a whole lot of time to think of something, and he'd needed a little help in that department but ultimately things seemed to go over well. Thank Primus too because Bumblebee seriously would not have known what the heck to do if Nick hadn't enjoyed his gift at all. "Glad you like it, buddy. Now I hope to see you wearing that thing at some point. Doesn't have to be today of course, but whenever you feel like." Thinking to himself, the scout chuckled. "Maybe tomorrow?" Either way they needed to get the show on the road as Bumblebee started to make his way down to Witwicky. He knew that he wasn't going to be able to do a lot down there with the whole staying hidden thing, but that didn't mean he couldn't drive Nick down there so that he could have a good time. If there wasn't a massive crowd he'd like to use his holoform so he could enjoy that time with the kid, but odds were it was going to be packed given how widespread this whole Christmas thing was. "I dunno. Guess we'll find out when we get there, but I want you to have a good time even if I can't join you. Get yourself a hot chocolate and have a good time. I really wish I could do more with you, and even my holoform is a bit risky as I could still be recognized. The Autobots would know me, but the humans not so much. I just hope any Autobots there aren't going to blow my cover.."

Of course, he was the kind of kid that took off his shirt right there and switched into it - before placing his other one into his backpack. After all, it was a big deal for him, even if it was just a t-shirt. "You kidding? I'm totally rocking it right now." He told him with a growing smirk. "Now we're both looking stylish. If I do say so myself." He had of course thought of just what Bee had said. Which was the reason he had his backpack with him, and a nice little "disguise" that would help bring the Ben character they'd created to life. Leave it up to Nick to think of everything, right? "Don't worry about being seen. Robby, Mo, and I thought of that. I brought some stuff to disguise your holoform. Well... I mean kind of. It's a hat and some sunglasses. But the shades are blacked out so it should work," He explained honestly. Then added. "I figure as long as you don't take them off, it should be smooth sailing."
