Nick jolted out of bed that morning.
Honestly, every day was a little… Strange now. A month ago, he’d been the Autobot’s biggest fan. Now he was waking up every day in a barn with Bumblebee as his guardian. Was that a little weird? Maybe, just a little. But all the same, it was a new adventure. Albeit one he did have to keep tight lipped about. Both for his safety, and Bee’s.
The Malto’s seemed nice too. They’d have to be to allow all of them in this barn like they were.
Carefully dressing himself, his eyes immediately took notice of something he hadn’t noticed in his stupor. Snow.. Snow? It’d actually SNOWED on Christmas? Poking his head out, he immediately decided there was only one thing to do about this.
Rushing out, he soon came back with a single, well done snow ball. And decided to take aim and hit Bumblebee’s alt mode directly. “Hey Bee, up and at ‘em!” He announced. “We got snow big guy!” He giggled.

It was weird now that Bumblebee found himself as Nick's guardian of sorts. Had it not been for Wheeljack, Bee never would have even come up with the idea of looking to take Nick in at all. He didn't want to keep him in the barn, but at long as the kid was happy and healthy all was good. Besides, there wasn't a whole lot of room inside the Malto residence, but everyone seemed to be happy with the arrangement. Plus it meant one more player for Malto family game night and he didn't have to team up with both the Malto parents anymore (unless he really wanted to). There was finally an even number of players.
He was just coming out of recharge when he felt something cold and wet pelt his nice and clean armor plating.. or previously nice and clean. Bumblebee groaned a bit, transforming in the barn to look at Nick. "Hey! What that for?" It took him a moment, but that's when he finally noticed. There was snow! It'd been awhile since he'd last seen it, but he supposed it was that time of year again wasn't it? Wait a moment.. it was an Earth holiday on top of everything!
"Alright alright I'm up. And a merry Christmas to you too. What do you say we have a little fun before exchanging gifts? Go out for a drive to see what the rest of Witwicky looks like buried in the snow?"

It was finally Christmas!
Of all the holidays there were on Earth, Christmas was probably one of Clematis' favorites. Sure everything was covered in snow and the only flowers in sight were all of those large stacks of potted poinsettias. While they did have a couple of medicinal uses, it seemed that they were primarily used for Christmas decorating along with the colorful lights and the pine trees that had been transformed into 'Christmas trees'. While she didn't entirely get the point of decorating for a few days and then having to take everything down, the femme found the decorations to be quite enjoyable.
But that hadn't been the best part of the holiday. It'd been the gift giving and spending time with friends and family. While she was down the latter, and she tried not to dwell on that on this day for everyone else's sake, there were plenty of friends to hang out with to keep her distracted. Clematis had made special gifts for her friends this year: handmade waxes to keep their armor all nice and shiny while also flavoring them with some nice scents that she could get her servos on. It wasn't much, but she thought it'd be nice to give her friends something that she'd made on her own.
The femme had decided to head over to the Christmas carnival in Witwicky, finding a decent place to park before activating her holoform. Putting her hands in her pockets, Clematis' holoform made her way into the carnival grounds before walking around to see what all was there.. or who else might be there as well.

Though he had wondered for a minute if he’d angered the Bot, he was thankful to see that he hadn’t. The last thing he wanted to do was give Bumblebee a reason to back off this whole thing. Heck, he was the first present guardian he’d really had - so… But all the same he kept a smile and rested his head on Bee’s foot. “Merry Christmas, big guy.” He then added. “Sorry, I couldn’t resist.” Honestly, he was still comprehending he wasn’t spending it alone. But he did perk up and steeple his fingers at the thought of going to check it out. “Heck yeah, let’s go! It looked really deep and cool out there,” he exclaimed. “As much as I can’t wait to see your face when you get my gift. I hope you’ll like it.” He tilted his head as he added the next part. “You know you didn’t have to get me anything, right? I think you’ve done enough.”

Parthia used to sleep late on her free nights looking for new information on the Transformers. This was no exception. She got up early feeling very cold and went downstairs expecting to find her mother making breakfast. But she couldn't find her, and all there was of her was a note she'd left for her on the dining room table. I went to work early to come back on time so we could celebrate the two together. S'agapó ómorfo korítsi mou

Celebrate? Celebrate what? It was then that Parthia remembered what date today was. She gave a little squeak and went back upstairs to get her phone and text Tech. >>My sweet Spark! Merry First Christmas 😄😘⛄! Mom is not here! Come see me at home!<<
In her room she finished all the preparations she needed. And then she went outside to wait for her Transformer. Outside there was even snow! She already wanted to see her friend's face when she arrived.

In her room she finished all the preparations she needed. And then she went outside to wait for her Transformer. Outside there was even snow! She already wanted to see her friend's face when she arrived. When Tech turned their systems back on this morning they found themselves covered in a cold yet warm layer of something all over their bodies. His sensory system picked up the signals and began searching for information about what this could be. And finally found it: snow. Apparently it had snowed last night and they hadn't noticed. They transformed in order to have better visual information. Everything around them was covered by that white layer. It was pretty nice, the snow on their servos felt totally different. It melted to the touch, and that hot mass turned into cold water. It was amazing. That's when they got Parthia's message... Christmas? Oh sure. Today was December 25. A human holiday that celebrated different things all over the world. Some celebrated the birth of baby Jesus and others celebrated the birth of a famous scientist. What was his name again? Oh! Isaac Newton. It would be impossible for them to move in the snow with his alternate form, so Tech decided to go walking through the forest. It didn't make much difference, they made it to Parthia's little house in no time. And there was their human, waiting for them with a big smile. "Good morning Parthia. And Merry Christmas"

Snow.
Of all the weather on Earth, that was the one thing that worried Skyfire unnecessarily. Snow had been the second-to-last thing he'd seen before going into stasis lock for millions of years (the last was ice). The avalanche that had buried him for weeks before Wheeljack could repair him was also comprised of snow. As a result, today, he hadn't flown into Witwicky, he'd driven. It was an awful experience on his landing gear (they didn't make snow tires in his size), but he preferred to stay closer to the ground in this horrid weather. And, that said nothing of the visibility!
When he got into town, Skyfire rolled into the staging area for the carnival, next to the rides. His quiet approach made the aged foreman jump a bit, but soon enough, they were able to talk.
"Good morning. I have several gifts in my cargo section. Would you and your men mind unloading them for me onto a truck?"
"Uh... sure, I guess. Any reason you're not droppin' em off yourself, pal?"
"I'm a bit phobic of flying in snow, unless I must. It's a long story."
"Y'know, Skyfire, I get that. Bein' stuck like you were, it's a wonder you're even out today. I'd figured you'd send your gifts in with Prime. How's that left hip servo doin'?"
Skyfire would have blinked if he was in robot mode, and instead turned all his optics the older man in the hardhat and overalls. "Oh, my goodness! You must forgive me, I didn't recognize you! My servos are all fine, thanks to you and Wheeljack. How are you, Sparkplug, my friend?"
The old man grinned as he called out to the others to come by and help the large jet bot with his deliveries. He then looked back and chuckled. "Not a problem, pal. Ah, you know me, I keep goin'. S'long as I've got a wrench in my hand, I'm still the best mechanic on Earth - no matter what nonsense Ratchet and Wheeljack'll tell ya about me slowin' down. Slow and steady wins the race, I say."
Skyfire chuckled as well. He knew about getting old - maybe more than some humans realized. "I agree completely. I'm glad to see that you are well, my friend. And merry Christmas."
A few more pleasantries were exchanged, and soon enough the bot's cargo was unloaded. He transformed, and with a single finger, rummaged through the packages, finding the one for Sparkplug and giving it to him. After that, he directed the driver to do as his friend had suggested, and bring the other gifts (including the many which were donations for charity) to Prime for distribution throughout the day. And since he didn't feel like making that journey again back to GHOST HQ - or farther back to Metroplex - he walked into town, curiously examining the carnival and wondering if he'd run into anyone else he knew.

Winter break- the thing Mel was looking to the most since December started. She was going to be visiting her mother on Christmas Day, but for now she decided to busy herself with the Christmas carnival in town. Her just as jingly purse (covered in bot merch galore) jangled as she made her way into town, eyes catching twinkling lights and the faintest sprinkling of snow as she smelled and saw as much as she could.
… didn’t stop her from doing a double take at the mech turning from a jet out of the corner of her eye. She carried on, hoping to spot anyone remotely familiar. Didn’t wanna bother anyone on a holiday, after all.

Dylan had decided to go into town for the carnival.
He didn’t know what had possessed him to do that. Usually, he was the last person to want to do this thing. But following his return from the streets, Dylan figured he might as well have a little fun. He had yet to notice Skyfire, who he had met shortly before taking to the streets yet. So instead, he decidedly kept to himself.
The other kids in his newer group home were on the other hand, much more excited.
Dylan had never liked Christmas. He’d never celebrated a real one in his life, and it just served as a reminder he was the odd one out. So he decided to keep himself a little more distanced. Scrounging enough change to grab a thing of cotton candy, and mostly watch as kids played games - or spent time with their families.
Bah humbug.
“C’mon Dylan you need to socialize more,” He reminded himself as he took a hesitant step over. Before stopping himself. “It’s not gonna kill you.”
Or well, it might, who knew really?

Ratchet had been looking forward to visiting old friends during the holidays. The Hospitals and Clinics kept him busy all around the world as he travelled to rescue, repair and heal Cybertronians all over Earth. Ratchet had just come back from a rescue in a canyon, where a Mini-bot got stuck under some boulders. It had reminded the old mech of a similar story and it had sour his mood. He was more than ready to drop the Medic Sour Mood and jump with both pedes into Party Mode when he reached Witwicky.
His ambulance form made it’s way through the traffic easily, as cars yielded in front of him. That’s one thing Ratchet appreciated about the Human, they always gave him a clear path even when his sirens weren’t on. As he drove, the changes to the city since the last time he came reminded him with glee that he was very glad he didn’t have to live here.
He enjoyed the nightlife and partying too much to stay in a small city like this. Still, it had it’s charm, in a rural kind of way. The center of the town is where everyone would be but Ratchet still made his way toward the Medic’s tent, just to give it a quick once over. The Humans in the tent were excited to see him, waving and chatting excitingly.
Once everyone has calmed down, Ratchet reverses a bit before transforming.
“Greetings Human! Wishing you Merry Holidays!”
He was once again crowded, phones coming out to take pictures, small hands reaching to touch his legs. He stood there patiently, answering only the questions he wanted, ignoring others. When the crowd dissipated, Ratchet walked into the tent to inspect before nodding approvingly. He gave the Medic staff a stern warning.
“Send someone for me, only if someone is within 5 minutes of dying, without a Doctor.”
Stepping out of the tent, his optics scans the crowd to see if he can spot any of his old friends. Especially a dumb, optimistic truck.

Dylan may not have said a lot of things on the Autobots - but there was one thing he did know. Ratchet was the shit. Stories of his escapades, wrench throwing, and the like were practically whispered around Autobot City growing up. So he’d decided to discreetly watch from a distance. Damn, it really was him and not just some mech painted similarly? God knew that some of the humans were absolute idiots. Squeezing around the group, he had just enough time to see the mech walking out of the tent. “Excuse me, Ratchet!” He called out, decidedly scrambling a little as he approached. “Sorry I’m uh… Not looking for an autograph or anything. I just had to geek out. I just got done reading your last thesis! I was blown away… I uh. Kind of have read them all - keeps me busy when the other kids are loud at night.” He sounded slightly winded and out of breath. But he absolutely did not want to come off as manic as he might have appeared before speaking up again. “I mean I don’t understand all of it obviously. But it’s pretty cool… Your uh… Insights? Into how bonding just kind of blow my mind.” He managed.

Children were not bad per se, but Ratchet found their conversations to be limited to topics that often did not interest him. They wanted him to make siren noises, ride in his alt form or touch him with their gross fingers. So he steeled himself for one of the common options, calling on all his patience. One thing he could do well is multi-task, he had more than once, kept a conversation with an injured mech while he repaired them. running diagnostics for other patients at the same time. That’s usually how he handled the hoards of fans, smile, wave, and throw a few platitudes until they move on while he reviewed some Medical journal or worked on his book. He’d rather eat his spark than let anyone know he was writing a book about everything he could remember from Cybertron. It was something he could fall back on easily. Where was he, oh right the pillars of- “What.”Ratchet blinked in surprise, finally processing the conversation the kid had been having all by himself. “That’s very impressive that you can comprehend any of my papers at such a young age. What made you interested in Sparkbonds?”That’s a topic he could handle, enjoy even. This might not be so terrible.

But then again, who would think the human kid who was known for his pranks liked reading medical journals of someone like that. Let alone enjoying any of the interesting memoirs of mechs in general. But that was Dylan, a kid full of surprises. “Oh! I’ve read everything you’ve written! I don’t know, I like reading what you write since your stuff doesn’t talk down to me,” Dylan replied. “Same reason I get bored as slag in school, all those textbooks are boring, you make it interacting!” He then decided to add in a quip. “One of my old foster dad’s introduced me to your writing actually. He used to work for you back in the day. Told me tons of stories.” He then added. “Oh, I’m Dylan by the way.”

He would usually love to talk about his papers and share his knowledge. But he was on vacation so he had to decide how to handle this. ‘School’ was a concept he was familiar with but cared little about and so did the little human. Full of surprises, the babbling went on and this time Ratchet’s optics widen in surprise. Someone who used to work for him? Interesting. The Medic bent down extending his servos then a digit in a mimic of human greetings. “Pleased to meet you, Dylan. Tell you what, I’m currently under forced vacation, Doctor’s order. Have your Foster dad reach the main hospital and I’ll pull some string to bring you over for a visit.”Curiosity was getting the better of him, there was so many mech that had worked with him. ‘“I am here to visit old friends so why don’t we go say hello to your Foster father, mh?”He pulled his digit back gently, straightening up. “Lead the way!”
