Orion let out a gruff scoff.
"Too bad. I was looking forward to cracking some heads" he muttered.
Still, if Spike thought it was best to fall back he couldn't really argue with that.
"So where are we going?" he asked as he followed Spike and Sari.

Now that most of the guards were taken care of that left the perfect opening for Sari to get away with Spike and Orion. Spike was already urging that they leave quickly as he kicked open the fire escape door leading down the stairs. She saw him reach for something else, but she couldn't quite tell just what it was. Without hesitation Sari went through the doorway first entering the stairway, but as she did she powered up her mysterious looking backpack as it transformed into a jetpack. Zipping into the air, Sari hovered about a foot in the air before zipping her way down the first set of steps.
"Last one down's a rotten egg!"
She didn't want to go too fast because she wasn't familiar with the layout of the building, plus Spike seemed to have a better idea of where they needed to go anyway. That probably meant that she was going to get there last, but ultimately what mattered was escaping. Sari just wanted to make a little game out of it while she had a chance.
However, just as the group was heading into the stairwell another batch of guards flanked from behind them. They weren't quite to the fire escape, but it wouldn't take long for them to catch up as they fired up their weapons. "They're making a run for it! Don't let them escape with the asset!"

As the other two made for the fire escape, Orion asked where they were going - and he realized that in her own way, Sari had as well. Without time to reflect, he pointed down. "Parking garage. Exosuit's down there. Then, we signal Optimus and Megatron as soon as we're clear, and we roll out for Autobot City." He looked at Orion and grinned. "Part of that thing's built like your dad - nothing these goons have can stop us. After all, they're only human."
Spike never tired of that joke, when it was appropriate. Still, as he tried to be light-hearted in the face of this hell, he heard energy weapons being charged as heavier-equipped goons started coming after them. He wished right now that he carried weapons; but that just wasn't the person he wanted to be. He wanted to talk to people, and he needed to believe that the conflicts of his youth could be left there. But these G.H.O.S.T. goons were making that nearly impossible. They weren't close enough to trust the remote and the suit yet. Another few floors. That's all it would take, a few more floors.
He yelled back at the Agents, silently gesturing for Orion and Sari to continue getting downstairs. He was the unarmed one, the slow one. He could distract the men up here while the two of them cleared the way. If he got shot, so be it; he'd keep moving, just like he always did. That child's freedom had become the only goal in his life right now, and her father's was the second. "She's not an asset, she's a child! She's a sentient being, and freedom is her right! How would you feel about your daughter or your little sister being held in a cage, being poked and prodded, kept hostage from her father!? I hope you're real good at shaving with your eyes closed. I don't know how I could look myself in the eye if I was doing what you are now."
He shook his head and turned away from them. Sure, they had a clear shot on his back; he didn't care. Worst came to worst, he'd activate the remote and drop it down the stairwell, so that the signal would reach. That was what they needed most. And this gave him the opportunity to watch where the other two were, to make sure they were getting downstairs. He heard calls from within the squad at the top of the stairs, questions about whether or not they should just shoot him and try to catch the other two. Apparently, some of them still had enough morality that they were hesitant to shoot a human being. That gave him an opening, and he took it, running down.
Two floors down, he saw the door opening in front of Sari and Orion. The way they were running, the Agent behind it would be able to use the door for cover, and he was holding an electric paralyzer ray. That would work on both of them, human and Autobot. He was determined not to let that happen - and there was only one way to do it. He muttered to himself. "Now I know what Dad meant when he said he was too old for this." He pulled himself up onto the rail, and leapt across the stairway. In that moment of freefall, Spike looked over, and saw that his two charges were still, for the moment, safe. That was what mattered. He pulled himself into a ball as much as he could, and thanks to the speed of his maneuver, slammed into the G.H.O.S.T. agent's back with his shoulder. That hurt badly, but thanks to the guy basically breaking Spike's fall, the agent slammed face-first into the steel fire door and Spike stood up quickly.
"What the - Oof!"
Spike's adrenaline was pumping now, as a result he didn't feel all the pain he'd earned. He bent down and grabbed the energy weapon from the landing where it had dropped out of the mook's hands. He pushed the unconscious guy back into the hallway and slammed the door shut, firing the paralyzer at the locking mechanism to seize it up - that could give them more time. He over to Orion and Sari as they approached. "Man, I'm really getting old, remind me to never do that again. One level down and I can hit the button safely."
He turned and continued walking, though a bit slower than before. Still, for having jumped down and across two flights of stairs to perform a flying shoulder-tackle, he was in pretty good shape.
