There indeed would be much for Megatron to explain to Quinn as she listened to his words...
There was a lot for Quinn to take in since so much was happening. There were multiple human authority figures, which she had come to learn were called "the police" as well as the Autobot Skyfire. She knew of Skyfire and that he most likely would strongly dislike her, not that she would blame him. Then there were 3 Cybertronian-appearing individuals whom bore strange signals that weren't quite Cybertronian nor organic. Perhaps her systems were faulty Then there was a young human whom appeared quite distressed, no... downright confused and terrified from what she could tell.
"I will indeed 'keep an optic' on them, Megatron" Quinn responded via comms, albeit a little nervous. She had never been tasked to a protection-based job before, only assassinations in the past so this would be new territory for her. But the petite femme was determined to continue on the path of turning a new leaf and leaving her dark past behind. That and she also didn't want to let Megatron down after all the help he had provided her.
Quinn's thrusters had a quiet hum to them, useful for a stealth-based bot. She marked Thrash, Nightshade, Hashtag and Scott mentally before proceeding to hover towards them.

Well this was escalating quickly.
On one hand, Scott wanted to get out as quickly as he could. But on the other, he was absolutely overwhelmed. In fact he was still trying to process the fact that he had just transformed into a frickin’ robot. And that Mega-frickin’-Tron had just showed up of all mechs in the frickin’ world.
Yet he could hear Monica’s voice in the back of his head: (“Just get in the frickin’ car, Scott!”)
Fine. Scott figured as he took a step forward.
Only to transform, AGAIN. And jettison off into the sky. What the hell!? Was he flying!? His head turned back to see a pair of wings and a jet stream. He could fly!? What the hell!? “Ok, bad, bad, bad,” there came that fear of heights! Great, this was great. “Quick question, how do I stop this thing!?”
Ironically, the chief had been ready to argue back at Megatron when he saw said kid take off. His eyes widened and he found whatever argument he had stuck in his throat. That… Was not what he was expecting. Dammit. ”OK, that’s beyond my jurisdiction,” he turned to the Bots with annoyance. ”I don’t care about whatever those things are. Just make sure that abomination of nature doesn’t destroy my town!”
He of course was referring to Scott as he pointed to him nearly crashing into the side of a nearby building.

Thrash watched in horror as Scott was launched into the air by some jet wings he apparently didn't know he had.
"Scott! Hang on!" Thrash accelerated in his bike mode to try and help Scott with his bizarre situation.
One of the GHOST officers spotted Thrash.
"One of them's trying to retreat! Take em down!" the officer ordered. He raised his gun and fired a shot into Thrash's wheel, the terran flew forwards Transforming into his robot mode.
When Thrash looked up he saw the GHOST officer staring him down.
"Wait! I'm not a Decepticon!" Thrash pleaded.

Hashtag frantically commed her siblings about the situation, and she was more then happy to hear from Nightshade who was on their way. Having them or Twitch would really help in an quick escape given their affinity for flight. Everything was happening all at once. Their sibling had finally arrived, Megatron and Skyfire both seemed quite angry and now as Thrash was about to flee Scott was transforming again as he suddenly took off into the air. "Great Scott!" With a pun both semi intended and not all at the same time, Hashtag took off after Thrash to help her brother escape. Unfortunately he was shot at and forced back into his root mode, trying to convince the human police that once again they were not Decepticons. Why did the humans seem so insistent on declaring them Decepticons when they weren't? Not even Skyfire or Megatron vouching for them seemed to do any good as the humans were now firing at them. "Yeah, I think it's time we made an exit." Transforming out of her vehicle mode, Hashtag hacked into the wi-fi of the police cruisers. They needed something to distract the humans, and so she forced the intercoms in their cars to play the most obnoxious song she could think of at full blast. Sure it might catch the others off guard, but now was their chance to make a getaway while still trying to find just where Scott had gone off to. Switching her pedes to their wheeled form Hashtag quickly skated forward, grabbing Thrash and tossing him over her shoulder as she kept going. "C'mon, Nightshade! We gotta go!"

Skyfire had made many friends among the humans. The chief of Witwicky's police department no longer could number among them. Pointing a weapon at a scared child, an insinuation that Autobots would experiment on a child, and then calling the young boy an abomination? That was enough that Skyfire was actually getting angry. He took a step forward and looked down at the man. "You should be very glad right now that we aren't as trigger-happy as you, you insolent fool."
It wasn't an unfamiliar phrase to come from a Seeker, but this time it was well earned. This human had made Skyfire angry in ways that most humans could not. Then, he saw a G.H.O.S.T. agent taking aim at one of the Terrans, and acted without thinking - his missile bays opened and fired a full spread of dum-dums, firing the heavy steel projectiles down into the street as a fence, mere inches from the agents' noses, which would protect Thrash and Scott from further fire and offer them an escape. It was a clear threat to the humans - any one of those could have been armed with a warhead; and Skyfire was no longer in a particularly kind or patient mood. The scientist had once again been forced to take up as a soldier.
He glared, stepping back from the humans to take a more defensive pose between them and the young technorganics. His combat guard came up to protect his face, reducing his facial expressions to a glare through a single crimson eye-shield. "As Megatron has stated, what part of, they are children, do you monstrous little apes not understand?! Disperse, now! When the time is right, we'll make a full report to you! You are forcing a pointless confrontation when we should all be on the same side, the side that protects life and freedom. That boy needs help. We can help him. You cannot."
He glanced at Megatron, and then looked at the GHOST agents. He'd already known from Optimus that GHOST was up to no good, this just confirmed it. He held back his temper against scared idiots from a small town, but against agents shooting at the Terrans, he was only choosing not to kill because it would be messier later. "As for you..."
The old scientist was about to make some kind of acerbic comment about their responsibility as Scott took off into the air, obviously unable to fully control himself. He started charting the highly erratic course as soon as his sensors took note; the boy was going to crash, and at that speed, a crash could be suicidal. His tone shifted abruptly back from rage to concern. Even though his memory circuit still held the tape of Megatron firing on him to protect his human friends, their duty here was clear. "I'll get him."
With that, the giant jet took off into the air, his speed and maneuverability still surprising for his size. He used both his radio and his speakers, hoping that Scott would hear one of them as he matched the boy's speed. "Youngling, I'm going to engage my docking clamps. Do not be afraid of me. I will not hurt you. Let me help."
To the Elders of Iacon and the philosophers of their race, those were the three most important words in any language.
With that, Skyfire extended his docking clamps beneath him, aiming to latch onto Scott and pulling up, hard, to get them away and above the buildings. "I would strongly advise that you make efforts to calm down, with a full understanding of how hard that can be. But you are not alone - Megatron and I will not let those idiots hurt you, or any of our friends. Cool your jets, literally. I respect that this is a difficult time for you, but we require your cooperation for your own safety."
He hoped that what he'd said would get through to the boy.

Nightshade yelped when Hashtag grabbed their brother and started leaving. Nightshade was confused, unsure of what was going on. They didn't say anything as they transformed into their owl form to follow their brother and sister. Why were humans shooting at them? Why was Megatron and the other Cybertronians angry? What was going on? The owlformer had never been more confused in their life and it was frustrating as they loved to learn new things and make sense of the world around them.
"Hashtag, Thrash. What happened? I don't understand!"
The frustration was clear in Nightshade's voice as they called down to their brother and sister.

Enough was enough...
"Control your anger D-16! It'll get you, and the rest of us, killed!"
"Steady your anger, Megatron."
Megatron was rather known for having a quick temper, and he had taken many years to try and keep that side contained as well as could be. But the chief's word of using "abomination" to describe Scott regardless of his origins seemed to snap something in the former warlord. 'I will not control my anger, I will harness it.' The former gladiator growled softly under his breath as the thought passed through his processor, clenching his fists as his red optics narrowed darkly. Add the sheer audacity of GHOST harming one of the Terrans in the process...Megatron was furious.
Skyfire had done his part, was doing what any sensible Cybertronian should be doing. But Megatron's senses became lost to that anger boiling in his spark, "<<Skyfire, take care of the boy and the Terrans, I have a friend here helping close by. She'll have your back. And tell Optimus I'm sorry for what I'm about to do.>>" The sound of shifting parts could be heard followed by the sound of energy activating, Megatron's energon mace falling to the ground, "You'll regret those wretched words you bag of flesh and bones." Megatron snarled, flinching a little from the obnoxious music blaring from the police cars. Well, least Hashtag could think on her feet in the heat of a situation. With an angered roar, the gray and black mech swung his mace in three successive strikes; the first two struck near the officers knocking them off balance and crushing their vehicles, the last striking over the GHOST vehicle caring little for the potential loss of life or injury he had caused.
Well, if he was going to make a statement to GHOST and leave them, he might as well go out with a bang right? Even if it did put him on their revenge list, "Been waiting a long time to make you agents feel some pain."

As Quinn made her way above the Terrans and the human Scott, she was taken by surprise as the human suddenly transformed into a flight-based Cybertronian form and took off into the air. PRIMUS! She was not expecting this-- actually she wasn't expecting any of this, but a squishy human changing form was very much out of left field. But Quinn had given her word to Megatron to keep both this strange 'human' and these other companions safe. She saw Skyfire get ahold of Scott and was about to intervene, until she heard Megatron's exchange with the autobot.
The former assassin femme moved closer to Hashtag and the injured Thrash, whilst trying to remain concealed. She chose to stick closer to them, as she analyzed they would need her protection more so since Hashtag would be hindered in aiding Thrash. As Quinn followed after the Terrans in her alt form, she heard the sounds of chaos and battle behind. As much as she wanted to turn back to provide backup for Megatron, she would honor her word and instead continued to follow the Terrans. Sooner or later she would have to reveal herself to them, but Primus she had absolutely no idea how to do such without causing them to panic.
As she followed by via air in silence, Quinn was surprised to see the bird-like form of Nightshade amidst the Terrans, having not seen such a unique alt-form before.
Hopefully she would make a good first impression with this group....

Scott was saying a silent prayer when a loud voice got his attention.
Docking clamps? That sounded painful as hell. But it didn’t sound any more painful than ramming into a nearby building. Scott tried to level his breathing and calm himself down, but easier said than done? An understatement. But the feeling of something around him yanking him up made him yelp.
Again, calm down?? Calm down??? How could he?
But he could hear as something seemed to be sputtering in back. Had his engines finally stopped doing things? Wait his engines? God what was he? “S-Sorry just really high… I’m not good with heights,” he could see the irony in this situation plain as day. “T-thank you. I just don’t know what’s happening. One minute I’m sprouting up like a frickin’ tree. Now I’m turning into a robot. This is insane!”
Oh crap, his friends! Scott hadn’t even thought about Monica, Mark, or Trash and the others down bellow. What has he started? How bad was this? “I am grounded for like ten billion years when my dad sees this.”

As everything erupted around Thrash was only half aware he was on Hashtag's back. It was all happening so fast.
Now Megatron and Skyfire were gonna in deep crap. Thrash couldn't help but think this was partly his fault.
He looked around and he finally got his attention back when he spotted Scott struggling on top of a building.
"Scott! Are you okay?" Thrash hollered from down below.
"We gotta get out of here and back to the farm! Get some back up!"

Just keep skating! Just keep skating!
Hashtag kept a firm grip on her older brother as she made her getaway, Nightshade flying right behind them. They needed to get away as quickly as possible before the local authorities chased after them, and with Thrash injured vehicle mode wasn't entirely the most convenient. Sure Thrash would probably fit in the back of her van alt-mode, but she kinda felt a little weird about carrying her brother that way. Thrash was worried and Nightshade was angry. Hashtag could feel it through their shared bonds, but in the heat of the moment she dared to look back only once to be met with the sight of Megatron unleashing his fury against the humans who had threatened to harm them; to harm Thrash's friend.
It was terrifying.. Was that the anger Starscream had been scarred by?
As Nightshade asked their question, Hashtag did her best to push back that image of Megatron.. to not let it burn into her memory core and scare her. "I dunno, Nightshade.. I don't know. They're trying to hurt Thrash's friend Scott, and then it was like the cops turned on us too. I think I see why Optimus wanted to keep us a secret now.." Disappointment and sadness filled the femme's voice as she pushed onward back home, completely unaware of Quinn following behind them. "Why do they hate us so much..?"

Skyfire was focused on keeping himself and the boy safely in the air, more than what Scott was actually doing. At his size and engine strength, he was capable of simply overpowering Scott if need be; but he preferred not having to do that. Once the other set of engines sputtered and eased off, the large mech was able to set into a comfortable glide. "Not good with heights? You'll have to meet Silverbolt someday, he would have agreed with you. The issue being, of course, that he's the leader of the Aerialbots. Frankly speaking, I do not know what is going on exactly either - all I know is this. You meant no one harm, and have made no intentional hostile action. That means, whatever is happening, we will figure it out, and we will help you."
Skyfire turned his visual sensors toward the youngling below him, remaining in his jet mode even as he scanned airwaves, hoping that the agents below had not sent out any sort of call, nor had they received any Witwicky PD messages. "I don't know anything about that, I'm sorry. Human families are not my area of study. Who is your father?"
Looking down, he saw Megatron, enraged, and it made his power coils run cold. That wasn't the reformed Autobot and best friend of Optimus Prime. That was Megatron, leader of the Decepticon Army, Conqueror of the Galaxy. At least, that's how it appeared to him from above. He sent a radio microburst to the former enemy while recognizing that he also had attacked in anger, to protect the Terrans and their friends. And on that note, he noticed a Decepticon following the Terrans - unfortunately, that was more common than he liked, but he didn't have time for it now. Prioritize the boy, let Bumblebee take down the 'Con - actually - perhaps not. <Megatron, I have the boy. The Terrans are retreating. Stand down. Let's leave this place.>
After a moment, he decided to tell Megatron another thing. Yes, it was a test, of course it was - and Megatron would recognize that. Obviously the old jet didn't know who Quinn was, or anything about her. But he knew she was a Decepticon, and she was chasing Autobots. That made her a risk. <There is a Decepticon in active pursuit of the Terrans. I can still make missile lock from here but not much longer, without bringing the boy into danger, which I am loath to do. Should I, or will you resolve it?>
He might not have been able to lock onto Quinn for longer, but there was a warning in that message. He didn't know this Deception - Megatron likely did. If he could get her at the distance they'd already reached, that meant he'd barely need to burn cycles to lock onto Megatron if the former conqueror needed to be brought to heel. He'd sucker-punched Skyfire once, while the scientist was coming to terms with being awakened into the wrong side of a war. That wasn't going to happen again.
He kept near buildings, flying low so as to avoid radar screens and other sensors. If the boy transformed again in midair... he'd figure it out. "Aside from the height, are you feeling better now? What is your name?"

"It amazes me how they don't seem to really be scared of Optimus and the others. But we're just children. Are they going to turn on their own children?"
Nightshade was confused and thoughtful. They followed their brother and sister to safety.
"I don't want to sit back and do nothing. I want to help them. Megatron is one of our mentors and I don't feel right leaving him behind."
The owlbot wanted to do something other than run away. They sighed and looked back anxiously. They didn't know what to do. Megatron and Optimus were like family to them as well.

Feeling that familiar anger take over, feeling the rage in his spark unleash even to the smallest degree...it felt invigorating, it felt freeing. It had felt far too long that Megatron could let loose, release pent up aggression he had only shown in spurts when defending against his former Decepticons or the likes of Mandroid. It was the first time in thirty years he had felt like that darkness was necessary, needed to defend his kinds future, to defend innocent lives.
In some ironic twist, Megatron had found himself using that bloodthirsty rage for the purpose of good, to help, not to purposely destroy and conquer. It was almost laughable...
With one final strike upon GHOST's vehicles, no doubt taking the lives of the agents within, Megatron finally decided to heed Skyfire's words. Enough was done, the damage would be enough to slow his ex-allies, grunting softly as he deactivated his energon mace, "Let that be a lesson fleshlings." He growled softly before turning tail and taking to the skies in his helicopter form, heading after the escaping group. "<<That should slow GHOST down for a time, if only they had listened.>>" There was no glee in the former warlord's tone, no pride or eagerness for the life he had taken, but a serious and remorseful tone. He had tried to be negotiating, tried to be peaceful if a little more forced in tone. But, the humans hadn't listened, officers hadn't listened. Megatron was convinced most of them were just like the guards and officers he dealt with in his younger function, power grubbing hate mongers that didn't listen.
Though his thoughts shifted from his rage to concern when the scientist mentioned a Decepticon signal, "<<Hold your fire, Skyfire. She is the friend I mentioned I asked to aid in watching over the Terrans, she means them no harm. She is a stealth specialist, Optimus is fully aware of her existence, focus on the boy and getting to the farm.>>" Megatron quickly intervened, not wanting to see Quinn harmed next expressing genuine concern for her safety in his words. "<<Contrary to what you and Hot Rod seem to think, there are a few Decepticons that are trying to change their lives. So yes, I have it handled.>>" Megatron reminded, the warrior not taking kindly to SKyfire's little test he saw a mile away.
Of course even in the heat of combat and retreating, some of the Autobots never failed to make their doubts known.

Completely unaware of the potential attack on her that had been avoided, Quinn continued on her mission. She remained stealthily hidden to the Terrans as she followed them from above, the thought of leaving Megatron behind bothering her slightly. After Quinn's reawakening from stasis and meeting Megatron, she had grown a tad attached to the reformed warlord. His resolve that Decepticons, even an assassin like herself, could change and had a right to live better lives had struck a chord within her spark. Quinn was determined to prove herself, albeit she wasn't sure if anyone else would accept her.
As Quinn followed the group, she did wonder what to say as an introduction and no matter how many times she ran the scenario in her processor, it was painfully awkward. After briefly observing the group, she did notice they seemed to be younger than she was, something the former assassin had not encountered before.
It is interesting to wonder what she might have thought if she had witnessed Megatron's brief assault just a few moments earlier...
