If this facility inaccessible to G.H.O.S.T. was the highest priority. Jazz hoped Optimus was going to give these Decepticons a better chance than what they had now. The moon was out of reach for a lot of humans and it did provide a lot of cover so it could be a potential detention facility.
"Is this facility going to be a standard prison or will they have some freedoms? Like they get to walk around and such in certain areas and actually refuel in a cafeteria type area?"
Jazz wasn't trying to make it seem like the Decepticons deserved to be free, but they didn't need to be tortured like they were now either. Jazz wanted all avenues to explore to see what the best course would be. Giving them some semblance of a normal life even in prison seemed to be the most humane course in his opinion.

A rehabilitation center? On the moon?
Well, he guessed he could think of worse things to do. But rehabilitation? Decepticon's had done so many atrocities that a part of him wanted to counter Optimus about it. He didn't think they needed to be tortured, but he also didn't want them out in society if they were rehabilitated, especially not if it meant going back to Earth where his kids would be in danger. "Alright, rehabilitation sounds nice and all, but what're we going to do once they're so called-rehabilitated?" Ironhide decided to ask, it was the nicest way of doing so in his mind. "Y'aint thinkin' of givin' those pit spawns a second chance?"
When Airazor entered, Ironhide felt a bit bewildered.
A Cybertronian that turned into a bird... Well I'll be, he thought. Now he really had seen everything. "Er, a pleasure, Airazor was it?" He asked as she transformed. "Mighty interestin' alt mode you have there."

"Airazor recently has agreed to join our cause. She's a time traveler of sorts and she's been watching and aiding us in secret for a while." Optimus explained.
With Airazor introduced it was time for another round of questions. Time to get through them all.
"Yes Clematis if you would be willing I'd be glad to have you be an official part of the task Force" Optimus noted.
He turned to Jazz. "It's the latter Jazz. It will be a secure prison but we'll make sure to treat them more... humanly for lack of a better word." Optimus answered. "But make no mistake. They'll have to earn their freedom with good behavior. Freedom may be the right of sentient beings but that doesn't mean they are free from the consequences of their actions."
Ironhide was last but not least.
"Yes Ironhide we are giving them a second chance." Optimus admitted, "So long as they prove they've earned it."
He probably should have expected Ironhide to be opposed to that but what else was Optimus supposed to do? He couldn't let cons like Megatron and Thundercracker down.

The looks of surprise that followed her transforming were not a shock to Airazor anymore. She expected it at this point, having yet to meet another bot like herself, or meet faintly vague familiarity among them. Optimus was perhaps the closest she had gotten to in terms of knowing a familiar face. "The Prime speaks truth, a couple hundred years from the future in fact. I suppose it spoils what is to come." Airazor explained as she loosely crossed her arms over her chest. "As for my form, it is partly organic, my systems are capable of integrating organic material, both for structure and energy consumption." She gave the short version, figuring it would do for now and she could answer more curiosity at a later date.
"That I am, eyes from the sky." The avian female answered the young racer before listening closely to each one of those gathered.
Optimus' news was met by mixed reactions, Hot Rod and Ironhide seemed the most eager to put the Decepticons in their place, but Jazz and Clemantis seemed none too thrilled at the notion. Though the fact it was on the moon was interesting, and stirred something in Airazor's memories. The moon...No, moons, she was certain at one point Earth had had two...one hollow, spiked, bearing a monolith of sorts, becoming a giant weapon...threatening the Earth to reset it again. Airazor's green optics dimmed for a moment in thought, finding her memories for a moment rising to the surface before realizing her mind was beginning to wander. 'Not now.' She told herself, blinking quickly to return to the task at hand.
"It still would be in our best interest to show some compassion, regardless of your feelings." Airazor finally spoke up, unfolding her arms as she looked at Ironhide and Hot Rod respectively. "I know these...Decepticons have wronged you in more ways than one, but you prove their point of being no better if all you seek is to eliminate them without compromise to possible change." The avian spoke a bit sternly, shifting her gaze to Clemantis. "She's right, having a few of us to curb those tendencies might do the team good. You won't find peace by letting your anger get the better of you."
Was is it this thought process that drove the war she had been involved in? Prejudices and anger not let go even after hundreds of years? There were days Airazor wished she could recall more, but the memories were snippits, flashes of images and exchanges she only faintly recollected. [/b][/b]

The more the others talked, the smaller Clematis felt and it wasn't just because the other bots were much taller than she was. The femme just barely stacked up to Bumblebee's shoulder as it was, and the fact that she wasn't anywhere near as combative as the mechs in the room made it just that much more obvious. It wasn't that she was opposed to the Decepticons getting help, but there was a part of her that felt it was somewhat unfair as well. Yes the Decepticons had done horrible things during the war, but.. hadn't the Autobots done the same, too? Maybe not to the same degrees, but they weren't innocent in the war efforts either. At least Airazor seemed to agree with her own shushed thoughts that the others should be a little more empathetic. It was something a lot of bots seemed to lack, but it was strange hearing it from the mouth of another; a time traveler at that. Clematis had so many questions, but she didn't want to derail things either.
For now, Airazor definitely had the azure and lilac femme's approval.
Of course she couldn't dismiss Hot Rod's suggestion either. It did cause more confliction in her spark, but Clematis knew he had a point. Airazor and Optimus even agreed that maybe she should join the crew to find the escaped Decepticons. "You guys.. really think so? I mean.. like Hot Rod said I don't like to fight at all, but I am a medic. Maybe not of the highest caliber or anything, but Ratchet trained me on advanced first aid not that long ago and.. I'd be willing to help if you'll have me."
Clematis paused for a moment, glancing aside to the others in the room before her optics fell on the Autobot Leader. "But if I do, may.. I ask for a favor? I know this might seem like a big ask, but if it can't be avoided and Nightshroud is captured along with Starscream.. please don't separate them." The femme frowned a bit, continuing to speak. "I can't explain it but.. Starscream makes Nightshroud happy, and she sees him as her adoptive sire. I've both seen and felt just how much being apart from him before affected her, and I don't want her to feel that sad and alone again. Like I said I know that probably seems like a big ask, but it would put my spark at ease if it came down to that."

"Of course we'd be willing to have you!" Hot Rod said putting his hand on his girlfriends back "More the merrier. And I can give you some sparing lessons if you want."
He was curious why Jazz was so adamant that the Decepticons be treated fairly. I mean yeah it's to be expected but why did Jazz care?
Speaking of Cons being treated fairly Hot Rod listened to Clem's request.
It sounded like an unhealthy attachment to him. Starscream was a corrupting influence. Did he do something to make Nightshroud co dependent of him?
He wanted to say something but he knew it was best not to. He didn't wanna upset Clematis. He wanted her to be a part of this.
For now he kept silent. It was up to Optimus in the end anyway.
"You got a place for us to work from Optimus?" he asked when he got a chance.

Jazz had noticed Hot Rod's glance when he mentioned the Decepticons. Why was Hot Rod even judging that anyway considering his OWN connection to them through Clematis' connection apparently. Jazz didn't say anything though as it wasn't his place but Jazz of all mecha knew that there was a difference between what he did and what G.H.O.S.T. was supposedly doing. Jazz couldn't believe Soundwave would just lie about something like that. Of all the Decepticons, Soundwave was someone Jazz admired and respected. Jazz leaned forward and focused on his leader and dearest friend.
"What would I need to know specifically about this assignment, Optimus? Who's leading it?"
Jazz knew he was but wanted to give the Prime a chance to give that information out. Jazz didn't often get picked to lead missions of this caliber outside his normal SpecOps duties but he sure as scrap would do his best! Jazz was planning on having Ironhide as his "second" so to speak since he was a veteran and someone many looked up to. And if anyone gave Jazz scrap... well... he was sure with Ironhide there things would go smoothly.

Ironhide felt his optic ridge twitch a little.
They had to be kidding him? A second chance!? Wronged them was sure one way to put it... But the thought of it was still not sitting right with him. THere had to be a compromise. Like shooting them off to whatever star system was so far from Earth they'd all be dead by the time they reached it. So for a minute, he was definitely inside his feelings, having to think about what they were saying. But still, he wasn't the one that would question Optimus about his judgement calls.
"As long as we recognize that some of these Cons can't change. Some are going to at least try to use this as an excuse to cause trouble otherwise," Ironhide was being very blunt and honest about it. His armor bristling a bit. "Not every Decepticon is a psychopath. But not every Decepticon is like Megatron either..."
Oh right, leadership! And a base of operations... Technical jargin. "Right? Like we can't just run it outta here. GHOST would be on our aft's in ten seconds."

Optimus took in the requests from his Autobots.
"I'm glad to see you're all on board with this," he said.
"To answer your questions..."
"I promise we will do everything in our power to help Nightshroud Clematis. I'd be happy to have you on the team"
"As for leadership, I was hoping you would lead it Jazz. Though you all will still report back to me."
"And for your base of operations, Nick was kind enough to donate his uncle's old estate," Optimus explained.
It looked like they were almost done.
"Are there any other last minute concerns before we close this?" Optimus asked.
