The seeker huffed at the question, rolling his optics.
“As much as Skywarp ‘stays’ anywhere. If you spot her while she’s on the compound, good for you. I don’t know her whereabouts, she’s too chaotic to follow.”
Starscream went by Soundwave’s side to watch as Quake cleaned up the mess he made. It was satisfying to see someone having to own up to their mistakes and do something to fix the damage. More company to witness the humiliation was welcomed, so he waved at Bombardier when the taller mech came in, chuckling at Soundwave’s jape.
“Yes, we had a bit of a rough start, but Quake is making amends as we speak.” The Seeker turned his attention to the Warsmith. “Making any headway into that project of yours, before you were disturbed?”
His tone was more curious than anything, he didn’t ask for updates too often, giving space and letting the mech work his magic. Since he’s been interrupted, now would be a good opportunity to hear how things were going. Starscream was not known to be patient, he was trying his best, but he needed to get out of the blasted mudball, soon.

"Good to hear she's around. I always liked her." It was true. He and Skywarp brought chaos wherever they went whenever they fought the same battle.
Quake tuned out Soundwave and Starscream after that. Their banter didn't matter to him. He was surprised however by the huge lumbering orange Decepticon.
"Who the heck are you supposed to be?" he asked. He'd never seen this bot before.
Time to establish his rep.
"I don't know who the scrap you are but you better give me some dang respect. Name's Quake." he said crossing his arms.
Had to look tough. he prepared himself to fight. If he came down to it.
He hoped it would come down to it.

Bombardier looked to Soundwave with a mild smirk beneath his helm, scoffing a tad as he spoke up. "Well, whatever redecorating he's doing, they certainly no how to make a racket with it. Could hear them even in my work." Bombardier replied: it was true, he had been spending a lot of time in his workshop as of late. After all, his duty was integral to what was to come for any decepticons remaining. Still, he could use a break on the occasion, even if someone else had to drag him out in order to do so. Looking to the damage, Bombardier let out a sigh: it was going to take an hour or so to get those treads out.
Hearing out Starscream's question though, Bombardier couldn't help but look to Quake with a bit of suspicion. Seeing as how this project was a bit of a private thing, he'd be sure to keep an eye on the berserker in case they...muck things up. For now though, it was safe to talk. "Things have hit a roadblock with the main project, as the resources I'd need for it are not at our disposal. Especially if we plan on simply creating it from scrap. However, if we were to have existing pieces or something akin to it, it will be expedited. For now though, we are still a long ways from our goal, even with the resources at hand." Kneeling down next to Starscream, he'd use his hand to show a small hologram of some blueprints he had been working on, a different project of similar import. Starscream and Soundwave in particular would know what this was: schematics for a ground bridge. "However, I have made headway on recreating ground bridge technology. I had been working on such a project prior and this place has most of what I need to build it."
Turning off the schematic, Bombardier held his halberd as a walking stick, continuing his analysis. "With luck, we should be able to have one up and running within the next few weeks. Perhaps even as quick as a week if we are lucky. It may not be a ticket off, but it will make traversing it for our own needs that much easier. Not to mention, have ourselves be a step ahead of the competition."
As he finished, he caught wind of Quakes impertinence, Bombardier standing up with the assistance of his halberd. He gave them a few scans, pondering for a moment before speaking up. "Respect is not given, little warrior: it is earned. As for who I am, let us say that I am responsible for some of your armaments." Bombardier remarked, looking to the other two. Whether they wished to introduce him or not was up to them...but he was not so easily intimidated by Quakes bluster.

Soundwave couldn't fathom anyone actually enjoying the presence of Skywarp. She could be useful at times, but Primus was she obnoxious. Then again, perhaps that's why Quake got along with her so well. Chaos drew chaos, and that just meant double the processor ache later. Thankfully the spymaster hadn't had to deal with the crazy femme in some time and he honestly preferred it that way. The less he saw of her the better. Sadly, that had been one of the greatest upsides to the Decepticons going their separate ways when the war ended. Fewer annoyances. However it seemed that Quake had instantly earned the ire of Bombardier as he came into the room complaining about the disruptions. Another mech Soundwave had not seen much of, but knew it was for good reasons. Bombardier was, for lack of better word, busy with a specific task he was assigned to and Soundwave felt it best he not be disturbed. Despite the bickering between the elder mech and Quake, Soundwave chose not to interfere and let them go right at it, but he did take interest in Bombardier's progress report for Starscream. He did have to agree that it was difficult finding the right materials to work with especially in such a remote area, but the idea of even getting a functional ground bridge would be extremely efficient. True they'd need to keep a steady energon supply in order to keep it operational, but if Bombardier could get it up and running then that would be a massive advantage against the Autobots. If Starscream even cared about that, that is. Soundwave still had his concerns whether the former air commander liked it or not, and it would be much easier to either escape from the Autobots.. or lure them into an ambush. "SCAVENGING EFFORTS WILL NEED TO BE DOUBLED AT BARE MINIMUM."

Starscream growled at Bombardier's report. He did not like setbacks in the least, so to hear the efforts to create space bridge would be delayed did not make him too happy. He supposed that it was only to be expected, what with the primitive technology they were working with. The proximity alarm on it's own was barely functional with what limited supplies he and Nightshroud had cobbled together. It'd be a miracle if it held out for much longer, but just having it online was a start. Upgrades could always be made to the systems, but just before he could voice his frustrations with the elder mech's work that was when he was offered something that could salvage his mood.
Plans for a ground bridge, and one he could get operational within a week at best.
"It is no space bridge, but I suppose this will suffice." Just as Bombardier had suggested, it would make travel much more convenient during energon runs and for supply missions. It meant they could return to base much quicker and could avoid the Autobots, G.H.O.S.T. and even worse.. Megatron. Starscream glared in Soundwave's direction as the spymaster suggested increasing scavenging efforts, but while he hated to agree he did have a sound point. The faster the could get it operating, the better. "Soundwave has a point. We will need the parts that Bombardier requires in order to get this ground bridge functioning, and by we I mean you." As if he was going to get his own servos dirty. "Besides, I have an energon converter that will need to be completed in order to keep it running at full capacity, never mind the extra energon we will need with more mouths to feed." The seeker's sneer was thrown in Quake's direction given that he was the newest bot to have arrived at the Compound.
And it didn't take long for Quake and Bombardier to start arguing either. Once more Starscream grumbled, almost thankful for the interrupting comm from Nightshroud informing him that she had slipped out of the base and just needed time to herself. He could hardly blame her, though he had ordered her to stay hidden. Starscream shrugged it off, telling himself he would talk to her about it when she got back.
A decision he, unknowingly, would very much regret.
"If you two are done squabbling.. Quake, if you wish to stay here then you will make efforts to further our overall goal to leave Earth and rebuild Cybertron.. and I don't mean simple renovations to our base. I will task you with finding the parts that Bombardier requires to get the ground bridge online, and I expect to see that bridge perfectly functioning within a week's time. The longer we can avoid contact with the Autobots and G.H.O.S.T., the better. Do I make myself clear, or do you need me to spell that out for you? Slowly?"

Quake glared at Starscream. He really didn't like the insinuation that he was stupid.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" he asked.
He bashed his fists together.
"Look Starscream, I know you think I'm stupid. I'm not. I just like destruction more than construction." he elaborated.
He got right up into Starscream's face. "You may deny it, but you need me. Looks like your little squad is lacking in muscle right now. And Someone's gotta be there to pull your afts out of the fire if the Autobots and G.H.O.S.T. come knocking."

Bombardier would let out a sigh as bridged the edge of his helm, the middle portion acting as a nose for the armored mech. Seems some things hadn’t changed with Starscream or the rest of the Decepticons: his patience would need to be plentiful indeed. However, the news of Starscream working on an energon converter was promising. He’d almost forgotten the air commander was something of a scientist and engineer themselves.
Though, he didn’t much appreciate Quakes own assertion: it only solidified him as a risk than anything: right now, the Decepticons needed to rebuild, and the Decepticons assertion only made them seem even more like a blockhead than before. Still, there were so few of them that any hands were better than none. Bombardier emanated a little steam from his iron mask, letting his halberd lean against his shoulder as he watched Quake make his case. They needed muscle, sure…but Quakes kind of muscle? Maybe not.
The iron giant rolled his eyes, noticing a curious sight: one of his drones had scuttled out of his workshop, wondering why their taskmaster hadn’t returned to give orders. The bomber spoke quietly in old cybertronian: “Ḩ̷̍̔́u̸̲̮̙̐̔ş̴͊ḩ̴̅ ̵̹̈́̋̎l̷̘̪͇̓ỉ̴̤̝̆t̷̛̖͍̹̐͗t̵̙̾ͅl̴͎̓̋͌ȩ̶͙͔͊ ̷̯̳͓̒̚ȍ̴̉͜͝n̶̛̼̐͑ë̸͈́̐:̵̨̣̖̅̆ ̸͉̖̉̿̒I̴͙̥̅̅͝ ̸̡̱̅̀s̶̲̑h̵̨̍a̶̍͜l̸̨̐͐̔l̷̗̟̏̑̚ ̶̩͈̫̔r̵̬̫̺̎͑̓e̴̙͊̀ẗ̷̨̻̗u̵̠̩̾͑r̸̩͚͑ͅn̷̪̪͈̑ ̸̲̟͛t̵͖̻̕ō̷͙ ̴̩̬͈͂ẃ̵̫̮̄̚o̶̯̜̒͘r̴̲͠k̴̬͎̈́ ̸̲͕͗s̵͎̮̽̉͝o̶̖̓o̵̭̺̩̎́ṋ̶̙̞̄͗̀ ̶͕͕̼̌é̶͕̳̮n̸̲̤̽́͜ő̷͎͖͚̀̕u̴͖̗͗ĝ̷̟̠̃ḣ̷̝̞͔̔.̷̢̮̟̊͘”̴͉͎̀ ̶͚̜̉͌“ He spoke softly in the mother tongue, kneeling down to let them crawl up his arm and onto to his shoulder to observe the conversation between Starscream and Quake. The drone let out a chirp, tucked onto his shoulder as its singular eye stared between the tank and seeker.

Soundwave silently kept watch as Starscream, Quake and Bombardier bickered with one another. It was almost like watching a tennis match between the three of them, only Starscream and Bombardier seemed to be on a team while Quake was on his own. Soundwave had no doubts that Quake could provide a benefit to the group if he really put his processor to it, and aside from the offer of a remodel perhaps brute force was a good thing to have on the team as well regardless of whether Starscream wanted that or not. Fights could not always be avoided as much as the seeker seemed to want to stay away from the Autobots and the humans at all costs, and Quake could help balance out the team. While all looked to the skies for all those with wings or propellers, there Quake would be on the ground as a distraction.. or perhaps the fliers would be the distraction themselves. Either way, it was much more difficult to mask the sound of a tank compared to that of a jet. If nothing else at least some progress seemed to finally be happening. Bombardier had the ground bridge in the works and Starscream was working on that energon converter. Having both in play would be a much needed benefit to the rogue Decepticons and would make things much more convenient rather than having to travel from place to place for lengthy periods of time. The Spymaster took notice of Bombardier shifting his focus over to one of his drones, speaking in old Cybertronian. It was a language Soundwave knew all too well, and his sensitive hearing picked up on it perfectly despite how quietly the other mech spoke. Still, he didn't want to go without offering something of use to the conversation. "REQUEST: SEEK ALTERNATIVE MEANS OF ENERGY IN THE MEANTIME?"

Of course Quake was challenging Starscream's direct orders. What else should he have expected? Starscream glared at Quake, none too happy of his suggestion. "And if I have anything to say about it we will not need to encounter the Autobots let alone G.H.O.S.T. What part of avoiding all confrontation with them did you not understand? We are to work on leaving this planet, and the sooner we leave the better. Let them rust on this organic mess of a planet! We'll live far more comfortably on Cybertron once the AllSpark is within our grasp."
And this time it would stay within their grasp.
All they needed to do was get that space bridge running, find the AllSpark and revive Cybertron. Starscream might not have wanted to lead the Decepticons any further, but there was a promise in the title of ruler of Cybertron. The Chosen One who saved their planet. Yes, that would be him.
The former air commander glanced in Bombardier's direction as the older mech shifted focus to his drone, not putting too much focus on what was being said before Soundwave decided to chime in with his little request. Starscream sighed to himself in frustration. "Fine. Do whatever you wish Soundwave, but do not get involved with the Autobots' affairs this time. We still need sources of energon until the energon converter is operational and we are able to process raw energon crystals into something more tangible for our uses. Bring whatever you can find, and this also goes for you, Quake. We need materials for Bombardier's ground bridge and my energon converter, and I want it done immediately. The less we're forced to idle on this insufferable planet, the better. You do want to return to Cybertron, don't you?"

Quake gruffed.
"Are you serious?!" he demanded. "We're just gonna let them win!? Give up!?"
"Look I get it, we need to keep quiet, but there's no way I'm going out without a fight! I'll help you build you're frakking space bridge, but I'm doing it so we can get the help of the Decepticons on Cybertron!"
Fortunately it seemed Starscream was willing to accept Quake's help at least for now. He may not have admitted it outright, but it seemed Starscream did need his help, whether he liked it or not.
"Yeah. I can do that. Got any good places I can start hunting? This tank mode isn't very useful at scouting."
