Well that certainly explained a lot. Soundwave did not react at Quake's frustration of not knowing what a Bot Brawl was. Perhaps that was for the better, but now that the mech was free it was a good idea for him to know especially when they would be heading to one. Whether there would be a live match or not at the time was question they'd need to find out for themselves, but for now the least Soundwave could do was explain the Bot Brawls to the angry mech. "BOT BRAWLS: TRAP TO LURE DECEPTICONS IN NEED OF ENERGON DUE TO SHORTAGES. SHORTAGES CAUSED BY AUTOBOT AND G.H.O.S.T. HORDING. BOTS FIGHT TO THE DEATH AND THE WINNER RECEIVES THE ENERGON AS PROMISED. ALL WHO FAIL ARE CAPTURED BY G.H.O.S.T." Soundwave had participated in one once and had gotten lucky, but that was only due to his skill. He didn't seem too concerned that he would fail to recover Frenzy and Laserbeak, but the real concern was whether or not Quake would be able to keep himself in check and not go all out unless he absolutely needed to. As they spoke the cityscape of Philly came into view. They were finally approaching their destination. "ARRIVAL IN T-MINUS ONE MINUTE AND FOURTY-SIX SECONDS. ANY OTHER INQUIRIES BEFORE ARRIVAL?"

Wait. That's what Bot Brawl's were?
"...Cool" Quake said.
Now he kinda wanted to participate in one of those bot brawls. Sounded fun.
They were almost there. Sounded like SW wanted to know if there was anything else Quake needed.
"Yeah. What's the plan exactly? We go in, kill everyone, take your pals and get out? Because I'm fine with that"

What was the plan. That was a fair question and one Soundwave didn't entirely know how to answer. There were so many variables and factors that could change any plan he even tried to make, but they did need to have something to go off of. How many enemies were there if any? How big was the location of the Bot Brawl? Were there any traps? Were Frenzy and Laserbeak safe just sitting there waiting for him or were they captured? The only solid answer he had for Quake wasn't one that he wanted to give, but it was a cold reality that needed to be said. "SUCCESS RATE OF DEVELOPING A PLAN: 10.3%. TOO MANY UNKNOWN VARIABLES." Soundwave fully expected Quake to do nothing but complain, but it had been the truth. It was hard to form a plan when you didn't have enough information. "ALTERNATIVE: IF ENEMIES GUAGE THREAT LEVEL BEFORE INITIATING COMBAT. IF NO ENEMIES, LOCATE FRENZY AND LASERBEAK. WATCH FOR TRAPS." That was the other part of Bot Brawls. Every so often a bot would attend one just to watch a fight only to be captured and become part of the fight. As pathetic as the humans were, sometimes they could be clever and outsmart Cybertronians when they least expected it. Soundwave himself had learned that a few time times during the war not even just because he himself fell victim to it, but so did his cassettes. Accursed Spike Witwicky. Thankfully they were finally entering the city. "SEPARATE FROM ME. CONTACT IF YOU LOCATE SUBTERRANEAN ENTRANCE. LIKELY WHERE BOT BRAWL IS LOCATED."

Quake laughed
"You're supposed to be the smart guy! What do you mean you don't have a plan!?"
See this is why Quake preferred the direct approach. You didn't have to think.
Quake didn't mind when Soundwave wanted to split up. At least he could actually do stuff now.
As he searched through the area grumbled and growled. He took his rage out on a small car. He bashed it to beats. Then blew it up with a nice blast from his plasma tank turret.
He hoped the guy didn't have insurance. It'd be so funny.
At last Quake seemed to find something. A small entrance hidden at the side of a building.
Quake turned on his comm. "Hey Soundwave. I think I found something. A hidden door at a building. You think this could be it?"

Soundwave internally rolled his optics at Quake's comment. Always with the plans, but sometimes plans just could not be fully formed. You simply could not plan adequately when there was an information gap on what to expect, and so he needed a little more time to devise a plan that would be more than simple probabilities. That's why he'd offered what he could to Quake, though even that didn't seem to be enough for him. Once they reached Philly, Soundwave was quick in separating from the other mech. He flew overhead taking in the city's layout. At least this way he could pull schematics from the air, finding every little mapped crevice both above and below ground. Just as expected there was the perfect setup for a Bot Brawl beneath the city. The question was where to find the entrance. It wouldn't have taken him long to figure it out, but Quake interrupted his thought process once more with intel about a hidden doorway he found. "PROBABLE LOCATION. TRACKING COORDINATES AND WILL RENDEZVOUS." Making his descent, the Spymaster flew down into an open but quiet area before heading to Quake's coordinates. It wasn't hard to find him in the least. He didn't even wait for the other bot's response before checking the secret passage, nodding when he was pleased with Quake's findings. "ENTER, BUT STAY CLOSE. TRAPS HIGHLY PROBABLE FOR CAPTURING UNWILLING PARTICIPANTS IN BOT BRAWLS." Just like that, Soundwave made his way in.

Quake pummeled his fists together with a loud clang.
"Bring those traps on."
Quake walked down with Soundwave down the dark hallway. It was boring at first. Just a whole load of nothing. Quake started twitching. He needed a fight...
Suddenly two claws emerged from the walls. Quake was grabbed by one. He shrugged. Was this supposed to hurt him?
He stretched his arms out breaking free with hardly any effort. Then he grabbed the other claw trap and crushed it.
"HAH! That the best you can do!?" Quake yelled
The spinning buzz saws that emerged answered that.
Quake leaped into the fray his fists pummeling the saws over and over. The saws cut into him Energon pouring out.
But Quake didn't care.
This was an easy fight but it was a fight he needed.

Soundwave continued to walk through the corridor despite Quake's overexcitement regarding the traps. Knowing his luck, Quake would likely trigger every single one on their way through, and the Spymaster did not have the patience for that kind of processorache. Regardless he pressed on, and within moments Quake had already triggered something. Fantastic. A small yet primitive robotic arm lunged out of the wall, just large enough to grab a standard sized Cybertronian wrist. Without so much as a flinch, Soundwave reached up and grabbed it just where the claws met the arm. The claws snapped a few times despite not being able to grab anything before Soundwave snapped the arm like a twig. A few more arms of the same design came out of the wall around him as well, and Soundwave effortlessly ripped them straight out of the wall one by one. One arm managed to grab hold of his servo, but he easily overpowered the thing as he too ripped it from the wall causing it to release him. Humans weren't exactly the most brilliant when it came to designing these capture devices, though the sound of a buzzsaw cutting through metal said otherwise. Soundwave turned around to witness Quake pummeling the saws until they eventually broke, the mech bleeding though he seemed not to really notice it much. "ARE YOU FINISHED?"

Quake smashed the last buzz saw.
"...Yeah. And I hate it!" Quake punched the wall
"Come on. Let's go."He muttered.

Soundwave shook his helm, continuing to lead the way once Quake was done beating up the wall. As long as there weren't too many more traps like that he figured Quake would be fine with his current injuries but too much more and he'd attempt to force the other to leave. There was no point in continuing forward if it meant the mech was only going to get himself injured, but given his insistence it wouldn't surprise him in the least if the other refused to back down. Typical. Pressing onward Soundwave led the both of them down a set of stairs with multiple signs along the walls depicting crude spray paintings of Optimus Prime advocating the Bot Brawls. Whether he really was or not was a mystery, but the Decepticons always did enjoy mocking the Autobot leader who supposedly fought for the right of all sentient beings; the same one advocating for the capture of the rogue Decepticons. Completely ironic, but that was the Prime as the Decepticons saw him. Nothing more than a martyr for the Council. "WE SHOULD BE CLOSE TO THE ARENA" As they moved forward a doorway came into view, left open revealing the open arena with many rows of seats all left empty. Just a little further and they would be there shortly provided the last trap not be triggered. Soundwave had avoided the sensor as he walked, but if triggered would drop a cage over whoever triggered it.

Quake walked forward following Soundwave.
When Quake passed by the picture of Optimus Prime he just ignored it. He hated Prime's guts but he had never done anything personally to him.
Bumblebee on the other hand was a different story.
When Quake turned to look back at Soundwave he saw him walking over a sensor. Quake looked up and saw a cage.
Quake growled. Soundwave probably expected him to trip it because he thought he was stupid.
He wasn't stupid. He just liked blowing things up.
He'd show him.
Quake carefully stepped over the sensor. Surprising considering he was a bulky tank.
"See Soundwave." he bragged. "I can be careful if I choose too."
He walked into the empty arena. He gazed around.
"You sure this is where Laserbeak and Frenzy are? Looks like a whole lotta empty to me."

As the both of them stepped forth into the arena the lights immediately went out leaving them in near darkness aside from the bright lights of their optics. The arena was left in silence, but before long a feminine voice filled the air. "Ladies and gentlemen-men-men!" Frenzy couldn't resist vocalizing her own echo. "Live from Philadelphia.. it's Saturday Night!"The lights flashed back on with spotlights directly pointing at the top of a broken down train car where none other than Frenzy stood, Lazerbeak swooping down from the light controls and landing by the femme's side. The purple cassette struck a pose for dramatic effect, but the annoyed hum of Soundwave caught her attention. Frenzy herself wasn't terribly surprised to see Soundwave, but she hadn't been expecting Quake in the least. She frowned, looking to the two. "Aw man.. I wasn't expecting an audience. I woulda had the music going and everything!""FRENZY. LASERBEAK. RETURN NOW." "Alright, alright." Frenzy huffed as she hopped down from the train car, rushing over the Spymaster as Laserbeak followed her. "So.. you and Quake a thing now? Cause if you are I've got some rules for ya, Quake, and you're not gonna like 'em."

As Quake stepped into the area the bright flash took him off guard
"GAH!! What the scrap!?" Quake pulled out his photon rifle. Time to get into ac-
Oh it was just Frenzy. Of course it was.
"Dang it. I was really hoping for a fight." Quake lamented.
His attitude wasn't helped when Frenzy wanted to lay down some ground rules.
"Oh yeah? What rules?" Quake asked as if it was a challenge.

Soundwave sighed to himself as Quake egged Frenzy on, knowing full well just what madness he was about to listen to. "Rule number the first!" Frenzy shouted, holding up one digit. "You will bring Soundwave home no later than 7 o'clock on the dot. No exceptions. Late fees will apply if Soundwave is returned for every minute he isn't home." The small cassette grinned, holding up a second digit. "Rule number two! No touchy. Servos to yourself.""And rule number three!" Laserbeak flew up to Soundwave, landing directly on his shoulder as he chose to join the conversation. "We're always watching. Alwaaaays.""FRENZY. LASERBEAK. CEASE THIS CHATTER. THIS IS SIMPLY AN ALLIANCE." It wasn't like Soundwave was going to say that he was actually in a relationship with Starscream right at this very moment in front of the cassettes and Quake. Sure half the cell block was subjected to Soundwave and Starscream's constant flirting in the cells, but it wasn't something that the Spymaster wished to discuss just yet. There were more important things to do such as getting out of the Bot Brawl arena, parting ways with Quake and getting to the compound that Starscream had sent him coordinates too. He would find time to fill the two cassettes in along the way. "WE SHOULD DEPART."

Quake laughed when he heard Fenzy and Laserbeak's "Rules"
"HAH! Hey Soundwave? You sure you're the one in charge?!" Quake asked.
"But yeah like Soundwave said. An alliance. We're teammates."
His laughter died when Soundwave said they were leaving.
"We're leaving? Come on. I only got to wreck a few traps! I wanna beat up something real! Something that can fight back!"
He slammed his fists together to emphasis his point.

Soundwave mentally rolled his optics at Quake's words. Of course Soundwave was the one in charge of the Cassettes. They could be a rowdy bunch, but there was only so much they could do on their own. Sure they could thrive for awhile and they worked best in groups, but it was only combined with the Spymaster's abilities that they became a deadly combination. There was a reason he was Megatron's third in command and could have very easily been his second had it not been for Megatron's insistence that Starscream have that position, but at the same time Soundwave was more than fine being chief of communications. It was his specialty after all, and he worked best spying on others rather than being the one to directly take action when it wasn't necessary. Then again, it was action that counted. Not words. It came as little surprise when Quake argued about leaving simply because he had not delivered an adequate amount of devastation quite yet. Soundwave was tempted to ignore the mech and walk away had it not been for the pitter patter of mechanical footsteps Soundwave picked up on from a distance. It wasn't close enough that Quake would hear, but he could tell that whatever it was was coming their way. It didn't belong to a single bot, but several. Many. He could not accurately count the number, but at least a dozen from the little information he had. "ENEMY APPROACHING. ENEMY NUMBERS: APPROXIMATELY TWELVE." Firing up his shoulder cannon, Soundwave turned as eight Arachnamechs stampeded into the arena in a tightly closed group heading straight their way.
