It was nice that things were finally calming down a bit. The year might've started off hectic with the whole Decepticon jailbreak and the whole being banned from G.H.O.S.T. HQ for a month following said prior events, but things were finally slowing down a little bit. Sure she didn't know what Nightshroud was up to, but Clematis knew that sometimes she just needed to focus on herself. It was something that she'd neglected for far too long, and knowing that her spark twin was happy and with someone she cared about was enough for her.. at least for now. Now it was time that the azure and lilac femme finally put some focus on herself.
And that came in the form of taking day off from Cyber-Remedies and just taking a long stroll through the woods.
There were many good things about the woods: cute animals, calming waterfalls if you knew where to find them, but Clematis would say that her favorite would be finding wildflowers. Sure they weren't like the metallic ones back on Cybertron, but there was something relaxing about the organic variant as well. They came in so many different colors and types, smelled nice (most of the time) and could even benefit organic life! They weren't just for show and that's what made the femme really enjoy stopping to admire the small flowers. It didn't, however, stop her from randomly picking some to take back home whether it be to place them somewhere or study them. She just wished that they didn't wilt so fast when she did that, but that was the nature of organic life compared to that of a Cybertronian.
After a few hours of walking Clematis came upon a small patch of flowers in the middle of a clearing. She wasted absolutely no time rushing over to check out the small organic flowers, sitting down on the ground and just admiring them. She was so focused that she didn't realize she wasn't the only one out in the woods this fine summer day.

In the woods and fields, the rustling of trees, the faint noises of the animals, and the chirping of the birds was all that was audible. It was peaceful, and relaxing. Then, after a moment, the chirping would stop, and be replaced by the faint rumbling of jet thrusters, growing louder as it came closer, then it seemed to quiet down right after, before it abruptly came to a stop.
The sounds had come from the young Terran, Skyfox, landing in the trees nearby. He casually strolled through woods, stopping near the edge of a clearing. He looked around at the treeline and the mountains in the distance, smiling as he sat down to take in the view, wrapping his servos around his knees. The Terran looked up at the sky, watching the birds flying away. He hadn't seen any animals nearby, even before he had landed, which seemed odd. Skyfox looked around to try and see if he could spot any, only to lay optics on a blue and purple femme in the clearing.
Skyfox let out a gasp, optics widening as he realized there was another person right there. He quickly pushed himself up to his feet and moved back, behind the trees. The Terran peeked out from behind the tree to watch the femme and see what she did. What was she doing here? Who was she? Could she not just find her own place somewhere else? Well, she probably didn't know he was there...
Should probably leave, he thought. But at the same time, the Terran couldn't seem to make himself leave. He was curious.

"Mmm?"
Clematis could've sworn she'd heard someone but when she turned her helm to look behind her she didn't initially see anyone. That was strange. For a split second maybe she wondered if it had been Nightshroud actually attempting to reach out through their split spark bond, but she would've felt that if that'd been the case so definitely not her twin. Careful optics flitted around the tree line to see if she could find the source of the gasp and eventually she did spot something ducking behind a tree. They'd moved so quickly that she just barely spotted them, but then she saw them peeking back out cautiously. They looked Cybertronian, but were her optics playing tricks on her? They almost looked like..
A protoform.
What in the world would a protoform being doing out here? How was a protoform out here? The azure and lilac femme didn't want to jump to conclusions based on the limited view she had of this strange bot, and instead she settled for smiling gently as she spoke softly. "It's alright. I'm not going to hurt you if that's why you're hiding." She absolutely hated fighting, and wasn't prepared to start a fight now unless there was no other option available. Even then she'd hate every nanosecond of it. "My name's Clematis. What's yours?"

The Terran quickly flinched back as he saw the femme notice him, hiding himself further behind the trees. He should've just left, it was obvious, why did he just stand there? Then his worry began to fade as he heard them speak, slowly leaning to the side to peek past the tree. His optics locked onto the azure femme, listening as she spoke and smiled. She didn't seem dangerous... but he still wasn't sure what exactly to do. Should he just run? Or would that be bad?
The protoform slowly moved out from behind the trees, his silhouette still obscured by the shade, but he was visible enough to see his frame. There was an anxious and confused expression on his faceplate, and he held his servos close to his chassis, moving very slowly and carefully. As she introduced herself and in turn asked for his name, the young Terran was left dumbfounded. How could he not know his own name? it was right there, but he just couldn't seem to spit it out... He knew what it was, but more like a feeling than any kind of discernable word that he could say out loud. "My name... uh..." He was already messing up. He didn't understand how this was supposed to work. He was right the first time, He should've just left... right?

Clematis did her best to look as calming as she could, which wasn't exactly difficult for her. There wasn't a mean trace of metal in her frame and with how nervous this bot was it was best to try and reassure them that they were safe. She kept smiling to them while trying not to maintain constant optic contact before reaching out to an open spot beside herself, patting the ground gently in a motion for the bot to join her. Clematis remained patient and didn't expect them to just walk right over, and that was perfectly okay. She understood.
Slowly and surely they did come out from behind the trees, and while still somewhat obscured their frame did start to resemble that of a protoform's that much more.
The azure and lilac femme stayed still, not showing any sign of making any sudden movements to try and encourage the mystery bot to come closer on their own terms. What she didn't expect, however, was their response when she asked for their name. Her optics displayed her concern and worry, trying to figure out why they couldn't give her a name. Was it that they were truly that afraid of her that they were struggling to speak, or was it something more than that? Given the fact that they had already shown how nervous they were, Clematis was leaning toward the former. Smiling once more with soft optics, she knew what to say.
"It's okay if you can't give me your name right now. You look really anxious, but I promise I won't hurt you. I wouldn't want to make a mess of these beautiful flowers." The femme giggled softly, motioning to the flower patch beside her. Maybe showing them something aside from herself would help to calm their nerves a little.

The protoform glanced down as the femme pat the grass spot beside her, motioning for him to join. He looked back up to her as spoke again, unsure of how to react. After a moment, the Terran's optics darted to the side, quickly scanning the treeline for anything lurking in the dark, then doing the same again for the other side. As far as he could tell, no one was there, and it didn't seem like there was any danger...
He hadn't seemed to mess up so far, so, it probably couldn't hurt, right?
The protoform began to slowly walk out from the trees and into the clearing to reveal himself, continuously looking around for a moment before he began to focus his attention forward, picking up his pace as he stepped closer to the azure femme, eventually stopping besides her and sitting down in the grass, wrapping his servos around his knees. His optics were held onto the femme for a long moment before turning to look down at the flowers, then up to the mountain range in the distance.
Well... what now? He was unsure what he was supposed to do now, if anything. But... nothing seemed to be going wrong yet, so it wasn't too bad.

Success!
Being gentle and compassionate really went a long way, and Clematis was happy to see the results when the mystery bot finally came out of the shadows and slowly approached before finally sitting down beside her. She was, however, surprised to see that they really were a protoform. Just how long had it been since she had seen one? Since any Cybertronian had seen one? It was an awe inspiring moment, and the femme was trying her best not to let that show as to not make the other more uncomfortable. Best to focus on their discomfort first.
"There you go~." Clematis praised the protoform for their hard work with a comforting smile. "I know that may not have been easy, but you did it. I'm proud."
The azure and lilac femme for as excited as she was made sure to speak in a soft tone. No sudden movements and no shouts. Keep things simple until she could better gauge what their comfort levels were given how they had reacted so far. "If you can't tell me your name, is it okay if I ask where you came from? It's been so long since I've seen a protoform. If I had to guess, you're fairly young." It wasn't unheard of that Cybertronians had trouble finding alt-modes on Earth, but even they had an alt-mode on Cybertron. For there to have been a protoform wandering around meant one of two things. Either a protoform somehow managed to be discovered, or.. they were born here. If the latter were true, it was possible that they were a Terran!

The Terran's optics turned back to the femme as she spoke again. Her praise prompted Skyfox to react with a nervous smile before looking forward again. He seemed to be doing everything right by now, maybe this stuff wasn't as hard to figure out as he thought it'd be. Were all those other people he'd seen like this? He hoped so. Skyfox turned to face Clematis again as she asked him about his origin. Why was she so interested in where he came from? He supposed it didn't hurt to tell, but it made him curious. Where did she come from? Where did all those other people come from?
The protoform scoped the horizon for a moment to try and spot the area near the cave entrance he had emerged from. "Um... I woke up in the big cave from over there." He spoke, raising a servo to point forward towards the area he had referred to. "Why?" Skyfox would add, raising an optic ridge as he looked to Clematis for an answer. What was so important about it? He was completely oblivious to why she seemed surprised to see him. Then again, he figured it could be a bit of a surprised to randomly see someone so bland and basic as himself, especially compared to the many other 'Transformers' that lived nearby. All of them seemed so unique and special, and then there was him.
Suddenly, the comfort and confidence he'd seemed to start building up began to slowly fade. It only made him wonder more; why did she seem to care so much?

Clematis was happy to see the protoform calming down even if it was just a little and that nervous smile spoke volumes. They were definitely trying, and that was the best she could ask for at the moment. She was just silently thankful they hadn't run into someone else who might've caused a bigger problem like a Decepticon or one of the grumpier Autobots. The protoform got lucky to run into the one femme that absolutely hated fighting. The azure and lilac femme listened to them as they nervously spoke of where they had awoken, questioning why she'd wanted to know.
Her optics lit up in realization, putting it together. "I think.. you might be a Terran~."
Clematis continued to smile to the other, realizing she might need to elaborate. "Sorry. I should probably explain. You see I am from the planet Cybertron, but the humans call us Transformers because it's a little easier for them to say than Cybertronian. Long story short a war broke out on our planet and we were forced to leave.. and we found ourselves here. The war is over, but not too long ago several bots were created right here on Earth in a cave just like you described. I'm friends with one of those Terrans and know where they are currently living. We Cybertronians haven't seen a protoform in so long, so when the Terrans showed up you can't imagine our surprise." She knew that all of that information might go over their helm, but she was patient and was more than willing to go at the other bot's pace.
"Were there others with you when you awoke? It's okay if you don't know. I was just curious if maybe you knew the Terrans I mentioned or not."

The protoform watched with a confused expression as he watched the metaphorical light bulb go off in the femmes head. A Terran? What was that supposed to mean? What was she so surprised about? A moment later he would have his answer as Clematis briefly summarized her people's history. It all went by a little fast, but the story was still very intriguing to Skyfox, who's optics widened as he listened to her speak. They were from another planet? And they were stranded here after some big war? All those other Transformers he'd seen, they were 'Cybertronians'. How long had they all been on this planet instead of Cybertron? Why did they all leave? It was a lot to wrap his mind around all at once, but what especially caught his attention was her mention of other Terrans.
Others like him. As Clematis followed up with another question, Skyfox shook his helm in response. "No. It was just me. There are more?" He would reply, his mind wandering off for a moment as he tried to imagine what they must have been like. How long ago did they awake? Did they all come online at the same time? How come he was the only one in the cave when he awoke? Maybe she could take him to them! Then again, they might not be as friendly as Clematis... But, surely if they were friends with her, they had to be nice people.

Oh this poor little one. Clematis looked to them sympathetically when they confirmed that they had been alone when they'd come into this world. She couldn't imagine what that must have been like, though her thoughts did go back to Nightshroud for a brief moment. To have awoken all alone, trapped in the wreckage of Uraya's science lab and in so much pain.. If only Clematis had been conscious and alert when Nightshroud was. She would have known her sister's situation so much sooner, and maybe..
No now wasn't the time to focus on the crimson seeker. Right now she needed to focus on this lost Terran who had no knowledge of who or what they were. The azure and lilac femme knew that she could help them even if it meant just bringing them to the Maltos to be with the other Terrans. "I'm so sorry that you had to wake all alone. There's a few more, yeah. They call themselves the Maltos because they are bound to the two human children from the Malto family who found the Emberstone, an ancient artifact that willed them into existence. That willed you into existence. The two oldest Terrans are about ten months old now, and the other three are about a month younger than them. Hashtag, the one I'm friends with, is one of the younger ones. We met the day that she scanned her alt-mode so she was still figuring herself out at the time."
Oh.. right.
"You probably don't know what an alt-mode is, huh. It's okay, I can help to explain. We Cybertronians have the ability to scan objects and transform into them, and it seems that the Terrans are able to do the same. I can show you what I can transform into if you'd like~."

Skyfox didn't entirely understand her pity for him waking alone; he had managed on his own just fine. Then again, he didn't exactly have any frame of reference. the young Terran listened closely as Clematis explained the situation with the other Terrans to him. "Maltos..." He would sound out the name under his breath as she spoke, confused by the idea of them being somehow bound to two humans. He then thought back to the cave as she mentioned the Emberstone. Was that supposed to be the green rock in the middle? He figured it had to be. Nothing else in there seemed cryptic enough to be called an 'Emberstone'.
The Terran kept a curious expression as the azure femme brought up the name of one of the other Terrans. Hashtag. Again, the protoform quietly sounded the nae out to himself before Clematis began to explain how their alt-modes worked, which seemed to be the one thing he'd sortof figured out on his own up until now. "Oh, yeah... I think I saw a few of them doing that before." Skyfox would reply, thinking back to the time he'd seen some Cybertronians around Witwicky. He didn't know however, that he could change modes as well. All the protoform had managed to find out was that his servo could transform into a blaster, as well as his thrusters in his legs and shoulders, but he didnt know he could turn into a completely different form! But... he hadn't scanned anything yet. Hmm.
The femme's offer to show him what she transformed into caught Skyfox's attention, nodding in reply. "Sure!" He was curious what her alt-mode was. Probably some kind of ground vehicle, guessing by the wheels on her body. Maybe a truck? Some kind of van? He had no idea.

Oh good! The Terran had known something of alt-modes even if he didn't know everything there was to know about them, and that was perfectly okay. Clematis was more than patient and was willing to explain as much as she could without frying the poor protoform's processor. That's why she hadn't gone into any details about the war because there really was too much to talk about, and he didn't need to know about everything right away right? Besides, war was a very traumatic thing and while the azure and lilac femme knew she couldn't protect this young one from Cybertronian history forever, it wouldn't hurt to do so for at least this moment. Focus on helping him find his way, who he was supposed to be and get him to where he needed to go. Clematis was all too happy to hear that excited 'sure' from the young Terran, standing up taking several steps backward to put some space between herself, the Terran and the flower patch. Once she was clear her armor began to shift around until suddenly an azure Nissan 370Z with a lilac racing stripe sat idly in the clearing. She stayed in that form for a moment so the young one could admire what she had done before transforming back into root mode. Clematis giggled a little, approaching before taking her seat back beside the flower patch and the Terran. "It doesn't hurt at all if you're wondering. It does take a little practice getting used to your alt-mode and learning how to move properly once you've transformed, but once you get the hang of it's quite easy." It was even harder when you had to learn to fly. At least with an automobile vehicle mode you were on the ground. Learning to fly was much more time consuming and dangerous to do unless you just had a gift for it. "We have a mechanism inside of us called a transformation cog, or T-Cog for short. That's what lets us scan alt-modes and transform into them. I should note that most bots can only have one alt-mode at a time and usually it's only alt-modes that are the same size and style. There are those who are lucky who can scan and maintain two separate alt-modes. We call them triple changers, but they're much more uncommon. It does take awhile to find the right alt-mode, so don't feel pressured to pick something straight away because you feel you need to. When you find that thing you want to transform into, your spark will know."

The Terran watched and waited as Clematis stood up and stepped away, watching curiously before the femme would transform the vehicle. His optics widened, captivated by the display as he took a moment to look over and admire her alt mode. It was very sleek and streamlined in appearance, but as much as he could appreciate the vehicle, he couldn't see himself choosing something like it. It just... wasn't for him. None of the cars or trucks he'd seen were. As the azure and lilac femme transformed and sat down beside him again, Skyfox was pulled from his train of thought as she spoke, listening intently as she explained some of the intricacies of how attaining an alt mode worked. It was interesting to hear, learning about a 'T-Cog', triple changers, and how your alt mode was chosen. 'Your spark will know'... It wasn't exactly the most clear explanation. It was very vague. He didn't entirely understand, but it was at least somewhat relieving to know he did not have to sccumb to any pressure to choose an alt mode. As much as the Terran wanted to fit in, he didn't want to be stuck as something he hated. He wanted his alt mode to be just as he desired.
Just then, the rumbling of a jet engine became audible as a fighter soared overhead. Skyfox looked up to see what the source of the noise was, his optics focusing on the jet above. It wasn't quite what he wanted, but it was closer, and he could feel it. Even if his processor didn't know it, his spark did... He was meant for the sky. Then, he understand what Clematis had meant when she told him his spark would know. Eventually, he'd find something just right for him... and that moment couldn't come any sooner. "I... think I understand." Skyfox spoke, turning his gaze back down to the femme beside him, a subtle, but visible, smile on his faceplate. "So... what should we do now?"
