To say that Hashtag was having a bad day would be a horrible understatement.
First she scanned her first alt-mode in hopes that she could just go back home to her beloved Wi-Fi, but then G.H.O.S.T. agents mistook her for their own vehicle. She was forcibly driven all the way back to their secret headquarters, and then.. strange things started happening. She was somewhere but not all at the same time in a room devoid of anything but herself and buttons. Unsure of what to do or what was going on, Hashtag just kept pressing all those buttons but nothing seemed to work until eventually she found herself back in the G.H.O.S.T. parking lot. She didn't know what happened, and the Terran didn't want to stick around to find out so she booked it as fast as she could.
Just as she was starting to drive away, she picked up some radio chatter. She wasn't quite sure how, but she had a theory that maybe it had something to do with her new vehicle mode. It was communications from G.H.O.S.T. and it was clear they were in a panic.
The Decepticons had broken out.
Whatever happened to Hashtag, it caused the Decepticons to be able to escape.
What if whatever buttons she'd pushed had caused it?! All the femme wanted to do was go home, but now she was a little worried to.. at least at the moment. Maybe some driving would help to clear her mind a bit, though her family would probably feel her anxiety from the whole situation. Hashtag continued to drive around the mountain until she reached a small cavern with some glowing water. She had heard from her older siblings that there was a source of magic water that could recharge them and make them feel amazing, so maybe that's what she needed! Hashtag transformed and did a cannonball straight into the water, but moments after she did the water began to drain. Figured that today wouldn't get any better, but at the same time that's when she suddenly began to sink through the ground. Alarmed, the femme squirmed before trying to calm herself down. She couldn't get herself free and before she knew it she was completely submerged.
..and fell down into a tunnel below. It was dark as she looked around, but where the heck was she?

Starscream had a lot on his mind and well… his arms. Not only was he running away from G.H.O.S.T., but he was doing it with Clematis still tied up and tossed over his shoulder. He was ignoring anything she was rambling about, focused on finding an exit to the maze he was currently stuck in. Starscream was vaguely aware of the protests coming from his seekerling’s spark twin, not having the luxury of time to explain to the, probably as stubborn as her sister, autobot that he was making sure she wouldn’t get tossed in a cell and tortured like the rest of them.
He wouldn’t put it past G.H.O.S.T.’s arrogance to extend their experiments on an Autobot.
Corners after corners, every passage looked the same, his instruments couldn’t pick up any signals this deep underground so he wasn’t sure if they were really getting away or just going round and round. He was about to groan in frustration and throw Clematis off his shoulder to take a break when the ground started to shake. Dodging a few huge rocks falling, Starscream took a few steps back, looking up in the hopes to see light and way out. No such luck.
Glaring through the dust, Starscream was trying to see what or who caused the cave in. He didn’t even dare to hope it would be a Decepticon ally. Transforming his servos away, it was his weapon he was pointing at the form vaguely coming into view.
“Who’s there?”

Everything had happened so fast that Clematis didn't even have time to process what the frag had even happened.
Starscream had taken her hostage and promised to get her out of the G.H.O.S.T. jail safely, but he had also thrown her over his shoulder and fled deep into the tunnels under Witwicky that stretched on seemingly for forever. Clematis was worried about Skyfire and wished she could comm him to say she was alright, but even if she could she couldn't get a strong enough signal with that kind of distance. She wriggled in Starscream's grip, servos still locked tightly behind her back with stasis cuffs. A few times she'd yelled for the seeker to let her go or at least put her down so she could walk on her own. It wasn't like she could go anywhere anyway so she was stuck with the Decepticon second in command.
There was a brief moment out of desperation that she considered trying to kick Starscream, but she ultimately decided against it. The azure and lilac femme was far too nice for her own good, but part of her would have felt bad if she'd actually managed to hurt him. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt someone that actually made her twin feel happiness especially if it meant that she could potentially driver her twin further away.
Eventually Clematis gave up her struggling with a whine when it was clear that her captor had no intention of responding to her, at least at the moment. She let her optics close for a bit as she was bounced around only to be startled by ground shaking before the sound of several things falling filled the air. The femme yelped, though was glad that Starscream had managed to get out of the way. As she was facing the complete opposite direction she could only see what was behind Starscream so she was initially confused when she heard him speak. They weren't alone down here, but who was there? Admittedly Clematis was a little scared, but she at least trusted Starscream enough to keep his word for Nightshroud's sake.
Whining a bit, the femme wriggled again in an attempt to make herself a little more comfortable.

It wasn't even just large rocks falling from the ceiling of the tunnels, but once the rocks had fallen so to did Hashtag. The young Terran shrieked as she fell to the ground, not immediately aware of her surroundings.
"Oww.." Hashtag got to her pedes, trying to refocus as she took in her surroundings. She didn't recognize the tunnels as all, but her biggest concern was how she had even gotten here. Moments ago she was in that cave with the magic water and then she fell straight through like she'd glitched through the floor in a video game. It couldn't have been quicksand, but how had she even managed to sink through the mud and find her way here? The place was dark with no discernable way out, but nothing her tech savvy couldn't help with right? Hashtag attempted to use her Wi-Fi to find an answer, and while she could get a signal given that she was basically her own Wi-Fi router she couldn't find any maps or anything. In fact, she couldn't get the signal outside of the tunnels themselves!
Limited internet made for a very unhappy Hashtag.
But then she heard that voice causing her to gasp. The purple femme turned and there she saw.. him. She recognized his appearance from the comics she'd read about the war and knew full well who this mech was. She didn't, however, recognize just who was slung over his shoulder but she could tell that their servos were bound behind their back.
"Starscream..?" Hashtag spoke softly. The Decepticon second in command definitely didn't know her, but just based on the situation alone she knew she needed to flee, but where to? And besides, what about that bot Starscream was holding hostage?

As the smoke dissipated, a form finally came to view. Small, young, no faction insignia visible. Must be a Terran, the younglings Shockwave told him about. The new Generation Optimus and Megatron were probably corrupting with all sorts of stupid Earth notions.
Wonderful, as if the whole Jailbreak and trying to save Clematis wasn’t already complicated, he now had to deal with another femme getting in his way. The Seeker ex-vented harshly, wanting to rub a servos over his face but… well, one was a weapon and the other was trying to steady the balancing the Autobot on his shoulder.
[‘Ping’][Primus, give me strength.]
First things first. Kicking his shoulder up, he bounced Clematis off, servos grabbing her by the cuffs and gently lowering her to the ground. Still holding onto the lilac femme by the restraints, the Seeker powered his weapon, glaring at the Terran.
“You have two choices, young one. Get out of here now or I’m cuffing you with the Autobot annoyance.”

A young one?
Clematis couldn't see the stranger, but it seemed as if maybe Starscream and the 'young one' knew each other.. or maybe the 'young one' had simply heard his name before. Starscream was a pretty well-known mech and it wouldn't have been surprising regardless, but the azure and lilac femme didn't have much time to dwell on it before she was ripped from her thoughts. Clematis yelped in surprise as she was bounced off of the seeker's shoulder only for him to grab her by the stasis cuffs keeping her servos behind her back. Her surprised yelp quickly shifted into a pained whine from the strain on her arms before her pedes finally reached the ground. Clematis winced with one optic closed, but now she could at least see who the other bot was.
The other was a purple femme fairly close to Nightshroud's height if not just a tad bit shorter, but the thing that caught Clematis' attention was the lack of an insignia on her. A Neutral! She hadn't put two and two together yet that this was in fact a Terran, but it was nice to see someone who wasn't an Autobot or a Decepticon. It meant that there were still bots out there who refused to pick a side just as the azure and lilac femme had before the bombing in Uraya. She listened as Starscream told the other bot to flee or that he would cuff her with 'the Autobot annoyance'. Irritated by the comment, Clematis turned her helm to look at Starscream with glare that almost resembled that of a young child puffing up their cheeks when annoyed. "Hey! I have a name, you know!"
Still, there was that other bot to be concerned about. Clematis didn't want her getting into trouble either, and she still sorta trusted that Starscream would keep his promise to get her out safely. "Please just go. I'll be alright!" The look of concern in her optics almost said otherwise, but a sudden rumbling of the ground made her yelp in surprise again.

Hashtag watched in surprise as Starscream suddenly bounced his hostage off his shoulder, lowering them as he kept a grip on her stasis cuffs while keeping his blaster trained on the Terran. Now that Hashtag could get a better look at the other bot she could that the azure and lilac femme was not only an Autobot, but almost Nightshade's size! Most of the bots were taller than them and even Hashtag herself just barely stacked up to Bumblebee in height, so it was nice to see that some Autobots could be on the shorter side. Still made Twitch look tiny in comparison, but at least there was someone Hashtag could say she was taller than.
Right, focus. Starscream had a hostage, but was giving the purple Terran a chance to escape before capturing her. Blue optics flicked between the Autobot and the Decepticon, unsure of what to do. She couldn't just leave the femme with the former second in command of the Decepticons could she? Despite the other femme's assurances that she was alright, there was a part of Hashtag that worried maybe she was lying just to keep the young Terran safe.
Before Hashtag could make any sort of move the ground quaked once more causing her to stumble. Flailing for a second before regaining her balance, Hashtag chose to try and take advantage of the situation. If she could move faster than Starscream while everyone else refocused, maybe she could save the smaller femme! Wasting no time at all, Hashtag used her wheels to skate forward, trying to rush Starscream and yank the femme from his grasp.

Starscream had been around insubordination so much that he could detect it in the optics of any mechs. The Terran had that same look, heroic some call it but it was stubbornness, a refusal to back down. A trait the Seeker did admire as he was the same when it came to back down or give up. He was ready for whatever would come next….
Or not.
The ground started to shake and Starscream lost his footing for a moment, falling freely.
[‘Ping’][DON’T LET ANYTHING HAPPEN TO THE AUTOBOT!!]
Going against all his instinct, his training and even his hatred, Starscream powered up his trusters, grabbed Clematis mid-air and landed with a soft thud in the lower level. Nothing from his sensors or instruments to help with orientation, meaning the chances for him to escape getting smaller with each levels he crashes through. From the corner of his optics he saw a movement, sighing before easily dodging the Terran.
“Cuffing it is.”
The Seeker undid one of Clematis' cuffs, moving menacingly towards Hashtag.

Clematis had a difficult time maintaining her balance as the ground shook once more with her servos locked behind her back. Had Starscream not grabbed her when he had she would have easily fallen over, so in a way she was grateful that he'd helped her yet again. Maybe it wasn't with the purest of intentions, but he clearly was trying to prevent her from getting hurt. Once Starscream was back on the ground, Clematis looked up to him with a look of awe before whispering. "Thank you." But just before things could calm down, that's when the young bot decided it would be a great idea to try and rush forward in an effort to free Clematis. Was she crazy?! Starscream was easily able to get out of the way making the young one's efforts futile. It came as a semi-relief when Starscream partially undid the stasis cuffs keeping the femme restrained, even though he was prepared to slap the other half on the other femme. The azure and lilac femme didn't want to see the taller femme get hurt, but if she was lost down here too then staying together was obviously the better solution. Even with one servo free, Clematis made no effort to fight her way out of the Decepticon's grasp. "Stop! I know this sounds crazy, but Starscream isn't going to hurt me. Just surrender for now and we can figure something out later. I'll be okay. I promise." Clematis looked sincerely at the Terran but somewhat worried at the same time, afraid that she wasn't going to believe her.

Darn! Hashtag was hoping that she'd be able to rescue the captured Autobot, but Starscream had dodged her like it was nothing. He still had the femme in his grasp as Hashtag's optics narrowed in frustration. It wasn't like she could just stand there and leave the Autobot behind, but Starscream was clearly proving to be bigger issue than the thought. Maybe it was the whole being able to fly thing, but the Terran was clearly at a disadvantage even with Starscream not being able to fully fight her. She grumbled as he removed part of the stasis cuffs and threatened to slap the free side on Hashtag herself.
She was going to keep fighting, but then the Autobot begged her not to; to simply give up for now so they could come up with some plan later.
Huffing, Hashtag reluctantly held out a servo. "Fine, but she gets to walk. You can't carry both of us." She didn't doubt for a second that Starscream probably could carry them both if he wanted, but it would make things much more difficult if he did. Still, Hashtag was extremely curious about what the femme had said. Why was she so sure that Starscream wasn't going to hurt her? It just seemed so strange when the comics and everything she'd heard about the seeker said he would likely do otherwise. This was Megatron's former second in command known for his backstabbing. Why would he suddenly want to keep an Autobot safe?

Of all the horrible things that had happened so far that day, the worst one, by far, was being thanked by an Autobot for saving them. If his tanks weren’t mostly empty he might have purged right there. Ignoring the smaller femme, he kept his optics on the Terran.
Then something worse happened.
Clematis was trusting him to keep her safe. Primus what had he become? The Terran was even extending her servos in a surrendering move that Starscream had not predicted. He quickly closed the cuff, training his weapon on them with a glare.
“Perfect, you two up front. With luck you will fall in a hole and I won’t have to keep playing sparklingsitter.”

Finally being back on her own two pedes was nice, having both her servos free was even better. Sure one was still cuffed while the other end was securely fastened on the wrist of Clematis' would be rescuer, she was just happy that she could move her servos again. As Starscream placed the other end of the stasis cuff on the other, Clematis rubbed at her free wrist to try and relieve some of the strain before massaging the cuffed servo as best she could. She did have to hold her arm up slightly due to the height difference between her and the other femme, but that was nothing to be concerned over.
And then Starscream wanted the both of them to take the lead hoping they'd both fall into a pit or something.
Quietly Clematis chuckled to herself, looking to the young femme she was shackled to. "Don't mind Starscream. He's not going to let me get hurt because he knows that'll hurt my spark twin, Nightshroud. My name's Clematis, by the way. What's yours?" She didn't see any harm in getting to know the bot she'd be stuck with for the time being. A little conversation helped to lighten the mood so long as Starscream decided not to rain on their parade or anything. For now the azure and lilac femme walked forward, conversing with the young one.

Hashtag looked to Starscream in an annoyed fashion as he secured the stasis cuff, but at least the Autobot was sorta free now. She was right that it was probably best to just do what Starscream wanted and then they could figure out some means of escape later. Sure she could run now and either try and drag the other femme along or something, but with their servos cuffed together it'd make escaping a little more difficult in the meantime. If anything she could at least try and keep the Autobot out of harms way for a little bit, but she could also fight back now so that was a win!
The Terran rolled her optics slightly as Starscream ordered them to lead the way as if she had any idea of where to go, but what confused her was the Autobot's assurance that Starscream would not harm her or even let something happen to her. She had to have some reason to be so certain, and she did when she revealed that she had a spark twin. Hashtag didn't know what that meant, but if she knew anything about siblings or at least as far as the Terrans go, maybe they shared feelings and such too. This Nightshroud bot.. She had to have some ties to Starscream if he wanted to keep an Autobot safe.
"Nice to meetcha, Clematis. I'm Hashtag Malto." She smiled back, starting to walk forward pulling the other femme along. "Guess we should get going before Starscream starts, I dunno.. screaming or something." Still, she couldn't get it out of her mind. Was Starscream really trying to keep Clematis safe? The two of them continued to walk forward toward a sealed door when the walls started to glow a strange green color, almost like the magic water from the cave with the Emberstone. As they neared the door the lights connected to it, opening the door ever so slowly. But as Hashtag looked inside..
..Something was gazing back at her.
"Uhh.. I dunno what that is, but I'm not sure I like it."

Things were going from bad to worse very quickly. Starscream was not doing well underground and the more time he was spending down here the more on edge and irrational he was getting. Each turn looked the same, all the doors looked the same… Something was wrong. The Seeker was on high alert as the two femme blabbed about… stuff.
It’s the Terran’s tone and the set of eyes that froze Starscream on the spot.
[‘Ping’][Primus, give me strength.]
No time to argue, he grabbed the cuffs and shoved the two femme behind him, firing at the thing coming for him.
“RUN YOU FOOLS!!”
