Bumblebee hummed to himself thoughtfully as Nick put himself down like he had. It was tough to figure out what to say, but he knew had to say something. "Look, Nick. Trust me when I say I know angst hogs when I see them, and you're definitely not that. Whatever's going on between you and your uncle's not for me to fix, but if it's truly bothering you then you need to say something. Otherwise you're just going to continue to be unhappy and that's only going to make things worse in the end." He wasn't trying to solve Nick's problem, but he wanted to be the one to offer advice in whatever way he could. It was true that it wasn't his business, but that didn't mean he couldn't show support if that's what he wanted to do.
Still though, he really wasn't prepared for that Herbie comment. At least he didn't get that from Alex, but Nick seemed to enjoy this non-Cybertronian fictional bug as well. Or.. to some degree at least. "Maybe." Bumblebee didn't know what a Lindsay Lohan was, but something told him he didn't want to know if only to prevent more talk of this Herbie guy.
Though admittedly, Bumblebee had to laugh at Nick's reaction to wanting to see how fast he could go. He didn't know if the Pope was Catholic or not, but he'd take the yes where he could find it. "Well you better strap yourself in tight. Pretty sure you've never been in a vehicle that could move this fast." Right on cue, the Autobot put the pedal to the metal, screaming down the street with sparks of blue energy firing from his exhaust.

He guessed Bumblebee had a point.
But then again, he could only hope to himself that if he did confront his uncle, it wouldn't end badly. The last thing he needed was for his uncle to walk out on him too. Nick had dealt with abandonment issues from his parents walking out, well, his whole life. Luckily it was easier since he didn't actually meet them but still... "I'll think about it at least," Nick replied after a long time of thought. "Maybe later."
Nick did as Bumblebee instructed, though he was completely stunned by how fast he actually put the pedal to the metal. Holy crap, Bumblebee was a beast when it came to driving wasn't he? He didn't even know that a car could be pushed to that level. But all the same, Nick was grinning ear-to-ear and screaming alongside Bumblebee. "HOLY CRAP," He finally shouted over the engine. "The stories don't do you any justice."

Good. Nick was going to think about it. He couldn't push the kid one way or another about getting him to talk with his uncle, but Bumblebee was more than happy just taking an answer that was somewhere in the middle. Didn't mean yes, but didn't mean no either. Regardless, Bee did hope that Nick would have that talk with his uncle, but again that wasn't his decision to make. If only things were easy instead of everything having to be so difficult all the time, but then again you lost that challenge in life. Would it even be fun if everything was easy all the time? Of course not!
Though he would win a lot more races that way..
Bumblebee couldn't help but laugh at the kid's reaction to when he started speeding down the road. It was thrilling to say the least, but sometimes he forgot humans just weren't used to incredibly fast speeds.. at least in a car. He still needed to be careful of oncoming traffic, but on backroads such as this that was hardly a problem most of the time. Even then Bumblebee knew how to handle himself and knowing that he had a kid to protect kinda boosted that mindset as he slowed just a tad in order to drift around a corner before picking his speed back up. "Oh this is nothing, Nick. Just wait until we get back to the city." The Autobot continued to drive, nearing a set of train tracks with an oncoming train blocking the intended path. Darn human trains.. They were always ten miles long it seemed!
Swinging around to drive alongside the train, Bee hummed to himself as he started to drive up behind another car with a small trailer on the back. "Hang on, Nick. Gonna do something wild."

Nick grinned ear-to-ear.
Honestly, for an Autobot fanboy this was probably the ultimate. Even if he'd never be able to tell anyone about it, or at least he assumed. Maybe one day Bumblebee would come out of hiding and Nick could brag to literally everyone he met. But until then, at least he got to do that serious bragging in his head. "Ohhh the city? You like to live dangerously, I like it!" He joked as he noted the oncoming train too. "Man! Whoever invented the train was a buzzkill."
Of course, Bumblebee seemed to come up with another crazy idea, that definitely piqued his interest. To say the least, he felt adrenaline pump as he wondered if he'd do what he thought he would. "Oh you're a madman. You're really gonna try that?" He teased. "Let's goooooo."

Live dangerously? Bumblebee laughed in the face of danger.
Regardless, he was more than happy to pull off some cool stunts and the perfect opportunity definitely presented itself in the form of the train and the truck straight ahead of them. "I don't see trains as a buzzkill. Sure they're annoying, but they do a lot of heavy lifting and transport so they're kind of important." But why did they have to be so slow?! There were so many places on Earth that had trains that traveled at insanely fast speeds, so why was it here in Witwicky and and many other places that they drove at practically a snail's pace? As annoying as it was, Bumblebee spoke the truth about them. It was a necessary evil, but they did frequently get in the way so there were pros and cons to the railed vehicles.
"You better hold on tight, Nick. This is going to get a little bumpy." Driving up directly behind the trailer being towed behind the truck, Bumblebee inched closer until he tapped it causing the trailer's back to open to create a noisy ramp of sorts. Sparks flew out from behind the trailer, but the human driving the truck didn't seem to notice. Probably listening to insanely loud music or otherwise distracted by other means. Slowing down for a moment to gain some distance between himself and the trailer, Bee floored it before driving up the back of the trailer and launching himself into the air. In what felt like slow motion, the Autobot sailed right over the side of the train and landed on the other side of it with a hard thud. All of which happened in mere seconds.
"Doing alright, Nick?"

Nick guessed that was a good point.
But all the same, he was paying more attention to the crazy stunt Bumblebee was about to pull right out of the Fast and the Furious movies. Holding on tight, Nick screamed, but not in a bad way. More like in that Dukes of Hazzard, yeehaw style that showed how exciting it was.
As they landed, Nick’s hair fell over his face… What a damn rush.
Throwing his arms up with a “whoa”, he grinned and brushed the hair away from his face. “Holy crap, I can’t believe you just did that!” Was all he could manage with a chuckle. “I didn’t think you could actually do that.”

Nick's excitement and bewilderment amused Bumblebee greatly, and it only served to inflate that pride of his. It was always fun to do epic stunts of course, but it was even better to revel in the fun with a friend. Nick definitely needed some excitement in his life it seemed, and who would have expected that he would have gotten that thrill from Bumblebee himself? Once they'd 'safely' landed, Bumblebee rested for a moment as they watched the train go by.
"Some shock absorbers, huh? We're built to take a bit more than your Earth cars can, so doing something like that's easy for me. For an Earth car? Probably wouldn't survive the landing. It'd fall apart instantly." Once the little break was over, Bumblebee turned until he was back on the right path to get back to the city and continued to speed down the roads. He could keep that up for now, but once they neared city limits he knew he'd have to slow down. Didn't want to get the human law enforcement to be attracted to him right now, and the last thing he needed was for Optimus Prime to get angry with him about it. "It's probably not going to take us a whole lot longer til we get to the city. Any big plans once I drop you off, Nick?"

A BIT more? Nick would say a lot more.
Though he also knew already that the Fast and Furious movies certainly were never a good example of realism. So was it much of a shock to him? No. But he now wondered how many of those cars were maybe Cybertronians finding work. He'd have to Google that later, he guessed. Because to be honest, now he was curious. "That was so sick. No way would anything made here survive it, you're right," He laughed a little. "Vin Diesel wishes."
Taking a deep breath and catching himself, he realized Bumblebee had asked him what he had in mind when he got back to town. That was a good question, Nick didn't usually make plans. Other than to stay out of his uncle's way and let him do his thing. "I don't know. Guess I'll have to figure out how to kill time. Uncle Dave's usually out pretty late when he's not at home," He admitted. "Maybe catch a move? That one with the Santa fighting the SWAT Team looked kind of funny."

Vin Disesel, eat your heart out.
It wouldn't have surprised Bumblebee if some Autobots and even reformed Decepticons went over to Hollywood to act or whatever. Wouldn't be the first time that he'd heard of a bot doing such a thing. After all.. there was that one time that Hoist went to Hollywood. Either way, Cybertronians were perfect for action stunts in movies whether the humans believed it or not. Bumblebee himself might have tried it once during his many years in hiding after discovering a filming crew for the set of a movie. He never did find out which film it was, but he had snuck into the line-up of cars hoping that he'd get to weasel his way into filming an action sequence. Little did he know that they were filming a regular parking lot and none of the cars were used for any cool stunts.
It was so embarrassing he'd never tell another spark.
"Hopefully whatever you do after I get you to where you need to go, it'll kill just enough time for you. I can't say I've heard of that kind of movie before but if it's good you're going to have to tell me how it is. Been awhile since I've watched a good action movie, but you can bet I'll recommend it for family movie night with the Terrans I'm training."

Nick smirked.
That definitely made sense to him. After all, he had a feeling that Bumblebee had a lot of those just by the talks they were having already. But he could imagine that he also had his fill of action. “There are a lot of crazy Santa movies this year. There’s also one with a Terminator Santa out in December,” he joked. “Actually that one may be too. I don’t know I don’t get to the movies as much anymore.” He replied honestly.
But… When they got where they were going to? Nick had thoughts about that as he tapped the arm rest. “I don’t suppose we can hang out again though, can we?” He asked curiously. “This has been a lot of fun.”

Terminator Santa? With the Schwarzenegger guy? How many Terminator movies was the guy gonna be in before he finally retired for real. Bee got the series was super popular around the time the war started on Earth with the Autobots and the Decepticons, but man did they like making sequels to things that probably didn't need to exist. Though if Nick said they were good, maybe they weren't as bad as Bumblebee initially thought. "I'll have to take your word for it on that one, but we'll see. Just as long as it's not that one animated movie with the princess with the ice powers. Got old real fast."
Before they knew it, Bumblebee had pulled up to their destination. Parking along the sidewalk, he felt as Nick started to tap on his arm rest. Would they ever meet again to hang out? That was quite the question. "Yeah it definitely has been fun. I tell ya what. I'm gonna give you my frequency, and I want you to put it into your phone's contacts. That way you can keep in touch with me, and I can give you a call whenever I have some free time." The vocal synthesizer display vanished from his monitor screen, switching to a frequency code for Nick to input. It definitely didn't look like a phone number, but if Bee said it would work then it was worth giving it a try, right?

Nick nodded a little.
What he was surprised about was the fact that Bumblebee actually wanted to hang out again. Bumblebee, the legendary Autobot, had had fun and wanted to hang out again? Nick had daydreamed about stuff like that. But to have him actually say that…?
Nick decided to do as he said. “Wow! I uh… I don’t know what to say. But awesome! I promise, your secrets safe with me. And I’ll be the coolest friend you have,” he said with a high level of energy as he stepped out. “Thanks for the adventure by the way. Try not to uh… Get into too much trouble out there?”

Once Nick was all set up, Bumblebee tested the connection just to make sure it worked. Nick would see his phone ringing, and once Bee was aware that it was from his comm he was satisfied with the results.
<<Request Accepted. Commlink Established Between: Unknown Mobile User - xxx-xxx-xxxx and Bumblebee>>
Right.. he was gonna have to rename that. The downside to mobile device connections. Either way, Nick now had a way to contact the Autobot scout should he need him for any reason. Bumblebee didn't fully expect the kid to contact him unless there was some urgent Decepticon attack or something, but Nick had his contact info and that was the important thing. Now that he'd gotten the kid to where he needed to go, it was time for Bumblebee to get back to the Malto residence. No doubt Twitch and Thrash were wondering where he was, and the human members of the Malto family were probably thinking the same. Especially Alex.
"I'm glad to know my secret's safe, but like I said. Call me anytime you need me, even if I can't be there in the steel. I might not be able to answer you right away, but you can still drop a message off in my inbox either way, but I do try to keep my line open for others. Now you go have a fun time with your movie, and try not to stay out too late." After all, he had an uncle waiting for him at home.
...Right?
