It took every effort for Nightshroud not to burst into laughter as Mire’s words. Oh, if she’d only known. Nightshroud trusted no one. No one but Starscream. After millions of years of keeping everyone at bay, he was the one that managed to slip through the cracks and prove that maybe she could still trust others even if just one bot at a time. However, should he do anything to break her trust at all, Starscream would be the first to know. Painfully. Though he wouldn’t be the only one hurting. If it came to that, Nightshroud would never let anyone in again no matter how trusting they seemed.
It would break her spark on a level that couldn’t be mended.
As it seemed they weren’t preparing to leave quite yet, Nightshroud transformed out of her vehicle mode, keeping her afterburners on to slowly descend toward the ground before hovering a good ten feet in the air. The air was still cold and she was still being pelted by the stupid sleet and ice, but at least the newcomer could get a good look at the angry expression on her face as they called her ‘pretty’.
She was not pretty by any means, or at least that’s what she told herself.
Listening in as Mire and Spindle continued to lightly bicker with each other, she grew in annoyance the longer she had to wait before they could return to the mission. It was great that they were catching up, but Starscream was still waiting deep within G.H.O.S.T.’s headquarters and the longer he waited, the longer he might go crazy waiting. The crimson femme was already losing it herself without having someone she could trust nearby.
It was great that this Spindle character had managed to locate three whole freight cars worth of energon, and the smaller seeker’s optics widened in surprise. This was great news! They needed it desperately since the Autobots controlled the vast majority of sources, and this would be a great start at getting back at them. However, the other two continued to bicker until the Insecticon asked Nightshroud.
Sighing, she lowered herself another few feet as Spindle was dropped. She didn’t catch her.
“My name’s Nightshroud. Now why don’t you show me.. us.. where that stash of energon is. We’ll need it if we plan on breaking into G.H.O.S.T. HQ to rescue Starscream.”
